Yea i get on them everyday to go to college so it does irritate me a fair bit. I prefer the diesel trains which i think are called turbostars. Much more comfortable.
I guess British trains don't sound their horn when they are departing like here in Canada.

I love how everyone is just slagging off that weird start up noise.
It sounds posessed :O
Other trains manage to pull away without sounding like a tiny dog being electricouted.
Having said that, I do love these trains, but I prefered the barbie livery :(

What is it that makes that weird alarm sound? Fortunately you cant hear it from inside they are very quiet.
