Of all the ridiculous nonsense out there like acupuncture, dowsing, astrology, god, reiki, faeries, creationism and prayer, aliens is the least insane of them all because the existence of aliens is at least possible. However massively unlikely, alien encounters are far more probable than any metaphysical BS. (that doesn't mean that believing in aliens doesn't make you just as big of a dumbass as believing in god)
