Just bought new lights and trying to set them up! I dont use bioballs (or at least not many of them) because they will begin to hold too much nitrophying bacteria...... dont use them if you have a pound a gallon or more of live rock...
That's very kind of you to say lol. My system has around 97 gal (440l) including the sump. Thanks for subscribing too! I'm working on how to videos right now but am going to wait for my iMac before I do the editing - can't wait lol
@shadowmaster995 Yeah, made it on Photoshop, thanks lol. When I'm set up on my iMac I might need to ask you a few questions about it as I'm not used to Macs at all (My first one) The wait is killing me!!
Have a look at the forum on the YouTube page mate ocean-wonders.co.uk there's loads of friendly people on there and tons of advice!!

hey about the red slime algea only reason they do that is because it dosent have enough flow towards the bottom save thing happened to me i put it upwards for flow then i movwd it to the bottom and it went awa and also every week storm the tank basicly put ur hand in and rub off the stuff on the rock have fun
cool tank dude what kind of light u are using for your xenia corals? can u tell me which light is better for my reef tank I need help please my xenia corals always stay the same size?
Sorry I didnt reply But use a metal halide or cp bulb. try to get it at 3 or more watts per gallon. O and make sure all your levels are the same. Don't worry about it
I use a substance that looks like carbon and all you do is put it in a bag and through it into your sump its pretty easy they also you can use phosphate pads
o yeah i know this guy he is an expert thanks alot i forgot about him also thanks for comenting o ps. the red slime is started to get less and less (phosphate removal)
hey cool tank, i have the same 1, w maroon clown. how much did u spend on your live rock total?how often do u do water change, and what other special things do u do to keep your tabk, thnx
Awesome!!! My live rock I got for 50% off it was supposed to cost 200$ even and I do a water change every 10 days and I do use a skimmer and some minor phosphate removers and I use BI-ONIC to keep the calcium and alkalinity right
Yep ultra life reef products ** Red slime remover ** will help you a lot !! Try to dissolve the product with a bit of water from ur aquarium then pour it into your tank I recommend you to do it at night 'cause the water will turn yellow>
next morning everything will be lot better :) it happened to me but now history ;)

shadowmaster995 2 years ago
add some more live rock. it will help the red slime problem and the bioload. some caulerpa wouldnt be a bad idea either.
ohmygoodness23 2 years ago
can I use bioballs? and what is caulerpa?
shadowmaster995 2 years ago
don't use bioballs. caulerpa is a type of macroalgae that removes nitrates and copepods live off of it. I also run chemipure in filter chamber 2.
ohmygoodness23 2 years ago
is there any other way i can avoid using live rock and does the caulerpa go in the middle chamber?
