Technically, the official description of Godzilla's breath weapon is atomic fire.

Zilla doesn't actually breathe fire in the movie - his roar is so catastrophically powerful it causes several cars to explode, and the shockwaves push fire forward. However he was given a proper breath weapon ("acid fire" evidently) in Final Wars. So it makes sense for him to have it in a game.
