I only hope the is new telecine copy made for the bluray while keeping both versions theatrical and special edition intact with its original theatrical road show 70mm six-track Dolby stereo mix and the special edition six-track Dolby stereo mix and that DolbyTrue is used. dts wasnt even an idea around 1989 and the Abyss deserves DolbyTure not dtsHDMA.
As much as I like the wild incredible original six-track Dolby stereo mix on the film. The image has been far from less than perfect. note around 3:48 to 3:50 the flare has green smear around the white. Note the lighting of colour of the water which as a blue. These two elements have created so much issues with the transfers on consumer VHS laserdisc and DVD.
thats not cool...first of all I am way to scared to actully now whats down there! thats fucking deep as hell & most likely there is alot of sea creatures that we will never know about lurking below.
