  • I cant remember any jobber matches on SNME. This was a first

  • good o faRT pin

  • Randy Brian is the other jobber

  • Steve Lombardi was the true king of the WWF, and was wrongfully denied the the WWF title and well deserved fame by that spotlight harlot McMahon!

  • Steve Lombardi was the best heel jobber the WWF had during this time period.

  • @Lfdjake91 I'd say Iron Mike Sharpe. He was so damn entertaining

  • No shit sherlock, I know all about DB Smith and Dynamite Kid. I love them and I want be just like them. You think you can tell me what to do you t*at? I'll idolize whoever the f*ck I want, and by the way, you just made up all that stuff about Dynamite living in a slum, his house is huge and luxorious and he is not washed up, he is a living Legend.

  • Dynamite is very broke at this point and has only one foot. He's been in a wheelchair since 1996 and was generally not wealthy even during his WWF fame.

  • KirnD is right; be careful with who you idolize. Pro-wrestling, like many other things in life, is always safe from a distance, but always tragic when actually involved. It's not a fun business, and most of what the WWE says now about early deaths and steroids is due to an active propaganda machine to save face, because the WWE knows the company can't survive without steroids.

  • You would not be wealthy either if you blew your money on drugs and alcohol

  • Mate its cool you like dynamite and davey, i see your only 18 i bet you dont remember them to well. Dynamite has feel on hard times recently, wacth the benoit cnn report on youtube. I dont think he has lost his leg though. You got the British Bulldogs vhs?

  • What a unique snap suplex at 1:37, Dynamite Kid, the inventor of the Snap Suplex is truly Dynamite. I wish that there was a DVD about the Dynamite Kid's career. He is one of my wrestling idols.

  • Have you seen Dynamite latelyavey ? He's a crippled washed-up loser in living a low-cost housing project in England. Davey boy died of a heart attack at age 39. Be careful...don't idolize these roid freaks, or you'll end up like them. They are entertainment nothing more.

  • Later they would have 'banner rollers'...like around early 1990.. If you looked up on top of the "Super Stars Of Wresterling" banner, there would be like a bar above it, and a SNME tucked up inside of it. I guess then when the right match came along, they would roll it down. Ill have numerous matches of that era, and hope to upload it soon.

  • WWF had the "banner rollers" before 1990. Plus, the were hung on their individual bars, not rolled. If it was Superstars, that banner would be lowered, and if SNME was taped that same night, that banner would stay raised up until that show was taped and the Supersars banner would be raised. Wrestling

Challenge may have been taped first and then SNME, followed by other tapings. You see, back then the WWF would tape 4 to 5 hours of television in one night.

  • Why were there SNME banners if this was a match taped for Wrestling Challenge? I guess they didn't bother to change it.

  • It's because this, along with otehr matches, if you will, were "dark matches" to SNME; the difference is these "dark matches" were aired on TV a few weeks later.

  • WWF @ Springfield, MA - Civic Center - April 22, 1988 (9,000)

Andre the Giant pinned Jake Roberts; after the match, Roberts hit the DDT on Bobby Heenan

Saturday Night's Main Event #16 - 4/30/88 on NBC - featured Vince McMahon & Jesse Ventura on commentary:

I can't post URLs here, so search for "History of WWF" into Google and click on the first website. Click on the WWF banner, go to "Ring Results," and click on 1988. The dates are in chronological order.

  • It was before they put up the 'banner rollers' If you look real close on the later SNME matches held during the same taping of Challenge or SuperStars there is a bar above the banners. This didnt start until 1990, like beggining in Chattanooga TN.
