I am so terrified of snakes, but i dont know why. Its a shame because i am really interested in them too. At the moment im just getting used to watching them on a screen. I hope i can overcome this irrational fear.
Though my fear was not overwhelming, I changed to actually wanting snakes by watching numerous "feeding" videos on YouTube. I hold a Native American tradition of empathy toward any animal who is about to be killed for food, clothing, or to feed a domesticated animal.
Never stop being cautious around both constrictors and venomous snakes. Either will kill you if you don't know what you are doing.
You should interview them for your Herp Radio show. (Just recently found your show and really enjoy it.) And it can't help but bring more visitors to their zoo.
Wow, one of the most venomous vipers at all !
Such beautiful the death can be...
In German we call this viper group :
"Sand Rassel Otter" , that means perhaps "Sand Rattle Adder " or more "Sand Rubber Adder ( ......- Viper) .
This here especially: Aegyptische SandRassel.....
I believe it´s a good name because the sound of an excited Sawscaled Viper is like rubbing with gravel or sand.
Great snake !

Scales rubbing against scales makes the noise. Warning sound to keep predators away. Much louder in person.
