@NodDisciple1 It is possible EA will do a Red alert 4 or something, but i think it would be GDI vs Scrin on a tiberium free Earth (really don't see how that's possible) and I was left behind as well. have faith my brother, kane will return for us.

Only reason I have C&C:4 sat on my shelf collecting dust is due to Joe Kucan (Kane) and I've also managed to collect all the C&C games to date.
I'm so dissapointed that they had to destroy the last Tiberium-based installment of C&C with the "new RTS mechanics" No base making is fail. As the saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
@Mundicai Just got C&C3 this week. It's pretty cool but seems to miss the "magic" of the Westwood era games. No Klepacki soundtrack or indeed any real soundtrack. Also the constant flitting about the world doesn't really seem right, C&C1, RA1, and TS all had a continuous campaign map so you could track your progress, which C&C3 doesn't which makes it seem disjointed.
C&C4 I will avoid because it looks totally shite.
@Ascyltos I know I might get "flamed" for this but my favourite C&C is Kane's wrath, the addition of other factions that work within the main faction. i.e Black Hand and the Marked are cool addon's to Nod, and visa-vi for GDI, Steel Talons and ZOCOM are pretty fun to play as too.
C&C4? First time starting the thing up and actually seeing the beggining and listening to the music made me think FFS but then I actually played the game. I started crying.

@gregdrako I think you know that 60% of old Westwoodians are part of Petroglyph now. It would be a "mammoth" task to try to keep the C&C series alive after EA ruined it. But it would be very cool to see them developing some of the other old Westwood series like Dune or Lands of Lore... I especially loved the Dune games and would love to see another good remake or sequel of it.
C&C 3 was a good mix of old Westwood and some new ideas like adding Scrin to the game. That gave them some experience in RTS gerne and they threw that away and made C&C 4. WHY!!!
@gregdrako Westwood worked on their version of Tiberian Twilight and planned to have Scrin in it anyway. They have literally been a big part of the series since the beginning. As for why EA made C&C 4 an ending the way they did, who knows. I personally think they got tired of working with the Tiberium universe as Westwood left it and said fuck it. That or they tried a new direction and it did not go so well as a lot of fans such as you do not like such a change as that for a "final" game.

Westwood took its time developing games. EA thinks a new game must be released each year, so they rush. We'd all rather wait several years to receive a quality game than replace our shitty EA ones with shittier EA ones.

@Motive11331 Honestly, I think Command and Conquer 3 was a work of art. The expansion, not so much... but the expansion had some crazy plot twists that made you go "Wait, what?!" when looking back at the grand story.
Command and Conquer 4.... that one... I... I don't even know if that deserves to be called a Command and Conquer game...... I'm ready to ignore its existence and continue to wait for them to finish the series some day.
It pisses me off that C&C4 ended with Kane being an alien, ALL OF THE MYTHOS SUGGESTS HE IS CANE, WHO KILLED ABLE. If you played Renegade you'll even remember Able's tomb. Kane is the guy that rejected the elite, rejected God, and decided that the power should belong to the people. And that tiberium was the way for the people to take power over the rich, GDI lords, That showed their true colours when they abandoned the poor and middle class to the wastelands of Tiberium. Ask the Forgotten. : P

After Westwood was liquified by EA the games slowly got worse, leading up to the EPIC FAIL that is C&C 4, this music is just a reminder of what C&C was like before the demise of its creator.
@BlessedDesciple I finally decided to play C&C 4 to get answers to how the series end. If only I had allowed it to die with dignity after Firestorm and consider Tiberian Wars a spin-off...GOD THAT WAS HORRIBLE!
C&C 4 is a fun game, the reason people hate it is that they took out the base building element, which is okay cause I never couldn't stand those constant base harassments.

@Ginteru Yeah. It would just be too difficult for them to do that, wouldn't it? Add a number of new Scrin units, remove the GDI, creating longer campaigns for both the Scrin and the Nod to compensate... 'High expectations' my ass.
If I was to have high expectations, I would tell them to mix in FPS like Renegade and still keep the RTS-style game. Now /that/ is unrealistic thinking.

@Ginteru Tried CNC4 myself, didnt like the fact that the campaign seemed to be just thrown in, and how they took CNC from being the only massive army no supply cap game still around, to about 20 troops max, with no base building.
But the storyline? Im not certain thats completly EA's fault. I am saddened to say this but The Prophet (Joe Kucan) is the one in charge of the storyline writing.

I agree for once, multiplayer has become overrated during the past decade, todays developers aren't even trying to make up a good storyline, they just skip to the multiplayer, and CO-OP is also pretty annoying after it became overused.
I can't stand single-player in games usually, Or even the single-player counterpart, Although I will admit I played the shit out of Tib Sun's campaign, and firestorm, as well as RA2..RA2 was fun.

It pisses me off that C&C4 ended with Kane being an alien, ALL OF THE MYTHOS SUGGESTS HE IS CANE, WHO KILLED ABLE. If you played Renegade you'll even remember Able's tomb. Kane is the guy that rejected the elite, rejected God, and decided that the power should belong to the people. And that tiberium was the way for the people to take power over the rich, GDI lords, That showed their true colours when they abandoned the poor and middle class to the wastelands of Tiberium. Ask the Forgotten. : P

After Westwood was liquified by EA the games slowly got worse, leading up to the EPIC FAIL that is C&C 4, this music is just a reminder of what C&C was like before the demise of its creator.

C&C 4 is a fun game, the reason people hate it is that they took out the base building element, which is okay cause I never couldn't stand those constant base harassments.

@Ginteru Yeah. It would just be too difficult for them to do that, wouldn't it? Add a number of new Scrin units, remove the GDI, creating longer campaigns for both the Scrin and the Nod to compensate... 'High expectations' my ass.
If I was to have high expectations, I would tell them to mix in FPS like Renegade and still keep the RTS-style game. Now /that/ is unrealistic thinking.

Red Alert 3 wasn't horrible, but it wasn't really good either. about C&C 4... i was going to buy it from an online website, until i saw the comments on the game. there were 39 of 'em, and 37 comments were negative and some actually asked if they could have their money back. and about the dying animel...that you can't understand that. THAT is sad.

Also, the comments are from massive old school fans alike, they are basically trolling cause EA liquidated Westwood, and I understand the hate, but come on, at least TRY it.

@Ginteru Tried CNC4 myself, didnt like the fact that the campaign seemed to be just thrown in, and how they took CNC from being the only massive army no supply cap game still around, to about 20 troops max, with no base building.
But the storyline? Im not certain thats completly EA's fault. I am saddened to say this but The Prophet (Joe Kucan) is the one in charge of the storyline writing.

@Ginteru Well the original games were like 30 missions long for each campaign, compare that to 7 missions? Wtf is that bullshit. Besides that, I wasnt a big fan of finding out Kane was an alien who wanted to return to home. Also would have enjoyed seeing what ascension looked like.

I agree for once, multiplayer has become overrated during the past decade, todays developers aren't even trying to make up a good storyline, they just skip to the multiplayer, and CO-OP is also pretty annoying after it became overused.
