During the summer of 2011 I was very ill and my relationship wasn't going well. Seeing this video has been the highlight during summer and inspired me to make one for my then-boyfriend. Unfortunately, the relationship didn't last and he already got himself a new relationship 2 weeks later & was very mean. But I don't regret making this video. It gave me the most beautiful way to show someone that I'm capable of loving him. And for that, I thank Kristian.

Finally, we've broken up and don't talk to each other anymore. In fact, he even got himself a new relationship 2 weeks later.. But I don't regret making the video. Since his wife Rachel had to bring God into this: Apparently, God didn't like that Kristian Anderson did not took the opportunity to go to the Olympics. Why else would he die so young? Where was his God when he needed him the most? Is that what a just and loving God would do to his wife and their children - taking away their husband and father and making them suffering a lot?

From this, it looks like the answer to "Where was his God when he needed him the most?" is - "right there with Kristian and his family". And so his widow was able to present the eulogy that she did, and Kristian was able to close his final blog with the words "...I pray you find the same peace that I have".

When your time is up your time is up. We can not fully understand why "bad things happen to good people", but what we can understand is - that throughout this ordeal God was there walking beside them, helping them to deal with things. His life wasn't shortened because he didn't go to the Olympics. Kris showed he was committed to the one true God and not the God of Sport. Just like Jesus dying on a cross, one life but he impacted / saved thousands, so will/has Kris's life!!

My mum spent the last couple of years of my dad's life by his side, looking after him & making sure he was comfortable (to the determent of her own health) until his passing in May 2010. They loved each other so much and it broke mum's heart to lose her partner of 44 years to cancer. I can only imagine that Rachel and your mum would be going through something similar. May each of our loved ones' souls RIP til we meet again at the gates of heaven!
