When the guy said guard it, the dog responded and even guarded it from him ensuring that nobody could get to what's being protected. This guy is obviously training the dog and he only did this video to prove that his dog isn't a monster. The dog IS trained but something about this just doesn't sit well with me. A dog should not growl in reaction to him moving and touching it like that and it took too long to respond to the kiss command. My dog would NOT behave like that and I am extremely glad, it would be unnerving.

Rottweilers have an incredible work ethic. Very eager to please, which makes them extremely easy to train. Rotties are happiest when given a command, which is the reason why this dog does EXACTLY what her owner tells her to do. You people think that this dog is bad, but its because PEOPLE dont always do EXACTLY what their told. This dog is very well trained. Props to her partner.
Your dog is clearly showing signs of challenging you in the videos of yours I've seen. Dogs should never growl at you, you are the Alpha, they should never challenge you. Like another person said, your dog appears VERY confused about its position in the pack. A trained dog is not the same as a behaved dog, tricks and basic commands do not show that your dog is well behaved in regards to barking/growling/possessiveness/aggression etc...

Dude, a dog exerts their dominance by growling, barking, then biting! Guard training or not, she should NEVER be allowed to display dominance at you, her pack leader. I have had friends run into a similar problem with their (former) dog. The dog was so protective of the family kids that it almost attacked a close family friend who was the babysitter and had known the dog its entire life (the dog hadn't been taught that it was lower in the pack than ALL humans)!

Actually, a professional dog trainer can train a dog to growl without it being a sign of aggression. It tends to be a lot more difficult to teach a dog to associate positive reinforcement from growling but it is possible. They're mostly used for movies tho.

Rottweilers have an incredible work ethic. Very eager to please, which makes them extremely easy to train. Rotties are happiest when given a command, which is the reason why this dog does EXACTLY what her owner tells her to do. You people think that this dog is bad, but its because PEOPLE dont always do EXACTLY what their told. This dog is very well trained. Props to her partner.

Your dog is clearly showing signs of challenging you in the videos of yours I've seen. Dogs should never growl at you, you are the Alpha, they should never challenge you. Like another person said, your dog appears VERY confused about its position in the pack. A trained dog is not the same as a behaved dog, tricks and basic commands do not show that your dog is well behaved in regards to barking/growling/possessiveness/aggression etc...

Im honestly a little disappointed at how many people truly think this dog is going to hurt him.
Do you not hear him say "Guard it"? That is a command.
He followed the command, very well might i add.
He then showed you the dog is NOT aggressive towards him by putting his face in the dogs face, rolling him around, playing with him, etc.
He then asks for a kiss, what does the dog do? He does it.
If the dog felt dominance he would not listen to any of the commands.
Nor would he of let him touch him.

That dog is going to rip your face off... You can't tell her to do something and then see how pissed off you can make her! I have had Rottweilers, and have a Pit and a Boxer.. NONE of my dogs have EVER growled at me like that. That growl wasn't a "friendly we're playing a game" growl. That was a "I'm going to rip out your throat and eat your vocal chords" growl. It's been said before and I'll say it again.. Just to make it clear... "There are no dangerous dogs. Only dangerous (stupid) owners!"

if i move my dog he doesnt growl t me or bark agressively,he just lets me,he is friendly around children and he doesnt growl at them if they poke him or climb over him,if he is frustrated wit wat their doing he will simply get up and move somewhere else, i believe its never the dogs fault for the way they behave but the owners fault, as the owner needs to set bounderies so that the dog will respect them nd the reward is a gentle,patient and loving companion.

I have had staffs all my life they have a dominant side you have to control by NOT letting them up on your bed and couches cleary showing you are higher than them
The fact he got on the bed when you asked him to shows he needs to be trained as a well trained dog would look confused "Thats the alpha dogs bed, not mine"
Train immediatly he must be at least hard to live with at most bordeline dangerous, control that dominant side

If they want their dog to be viscious and attack anything that moves, that's their choice, if they want a dog to cuddle with and be cute but doesn't guard anything, that's their choice. If they want them to guard anything from anyone if they're told to do so, so be it, it's the owner's choice what they want the dog to do and he chose for the dog to do this.

@mcj321 If you ever have the peasure owning a Rotty you would know this dog is absolutely brilliant. The owner is in full control. What may seem vicious is nothing more than play. Being a Rotty owner myself and not knowing either the owner nor the dog, based from what I have seen in this footage I could be in that room when that happens and be at complete ease.

Dude, a dog exerts their dominance by growling, barking, then biting! Guard training or not, she should NEVER be allowed to display dominance at you, her pack leader. I have had friends run into a similar problem with their (former) dog. The dog was so protective of the family kids that it almost attacked a close family friend who was the babysitter and had known the dog its entire life (the dog hadn't been taught that it was lower in the pack than ALL humans)!

Actually, a professional dog trainer can train a dog to growl without it being a sign of aggression. It tends to be a lot more difficult to teach a dog to associate positive reinforcement from growling but it is possible. They're mostly used for movies tho.
