You made it easier to stick to post but, easier to screw up which side it sticks to. I know you wanted to make it quicker on and off the post but mist top top goalies are having trouble. It was Lft trigger save and stick to nearest post on the rebound. That's gone now. Then you made forehands way more accurate as opposed to backhands last year short side forehand high is too easy to score. Goalie has forcefield on post coverage and the new fivehole coverage gives the shooter the top of net. Fix

im in a club with the guy the captain guy on detroit lol and its not that bad matchmaking in nba2k11 takes 30min on a great day ive waited 2 hrs to find a match in that game. Compared to other games it is pretty good
dude i know! periods are 5 minutes and yeah ok lets say it takes a combined 2 minutes in between whistles. sure. that's 7 minutes a period. add 30 seconds between periods. that's 22 minutes a game, tops. none of this 45 minute bullshit which i see constantly.
There's another really extremely annoying thing that you forgot to mention... It is the most annoying thing in the whole OTP... At the end of the game when your finished you have to wait for everyone else to push the button so you can exit the game, you have to wait for everyone else so that you can exit and go to another game, it is completely retarded. If some jackasses want to see themselves in the 3 stars and shit fine, but atleast allow me to leave.

I completely agree with everything you said, we think the same haha. Especially your ideas on positioning and pausing - pick a position you want and it finds a game where the position is open and turning your player into a cpu when you pause the game, those are the best ideas I have ever heard. I don't think EA can do much about the intermissions though, maybe just make the time limit 15 seconds instead of 30 like you said, I don't know what else they could do for that. Good stuff though John.
couldnt agree more, they should also change how you get experience for your otp/ eashl pro. Rather than playing and getting experience every so often, get gamely experience like offline be a pro. although you could have players who are 99, who cares, it would be more fun and wwant you want to play more anyways. if i had 99 stats i would be much happier then my 86 overall powerforward. especially the grade system. i had an a- overall and my dad played and dropped it to a b - in 6 games.
im not even going to waste money on nhl 12 i suggest you do the same. its just not worth getting the games anymore. they never address what needs to be addressed. they just added flashy new features like a "physics" engine that does nothing but add unrealistic hitting and does nothing for gameplay.
I think the biggest issues with pausing and turning a player into a CPU player is that the stats that they will be getting stay like that, like for example when you play 1 period and you get all A+'s, then in the start in the 2nd, you get a game misconduct, because you're not playing the game it gives you the stats when you were in the game. Same thing with the pausing and turning a player into a CPU.
this isnt just for otp but all online games, while its great to have the 5 minute grace period, it gets so annoying to get a quick goal and the other team or player just quits and its like nothing ever happened. the grace period should be canceled once a goal is scored
in nhl 2k11 you can only pause when it's not during play so only after or before the whistle plus you have a time limit for pausing so when your pause time is up the other player chooses if you want to take the win or keep playing and restore his or her time limit most of the time they keep playing because it takes so dang long to into a game because mostly everyone is playing Quick game or Gieco road to the CUP!
Agree with what you said Johnny..you choose a position, then it finds a game. Also with pausing, we have the same thoughts. I don't see why EA can't use the same common logic as us.
I'm on PS3 - they really need to make the in-game mics work. There's no excuse for them to push out unusable voice chat in a finished product. My EASHL team uses Skype because it's so bad.
whats your longest match otp or clubs? I bought NHL 11 for my brother so we could both play, we just had a 7 period Club match, and i scored the winner, and, probably the best moment ive had with any NHL game

I Say leave everything in club the way it is leave pauses highlights because it makes the game more real, but for otp fuck everything just go straight to pause menu and back in the game ... Did you guys see the trailer what now the EASHL Is gonna be sick. I Play on ps3 and the players in otp are Lil fucking girls if they don't get their position the just stand there it really ticks me off
they have to fix so much in this game but its actually a pain realizing that most of the bad stuff will still be here for probably a few more games.
for otp EA needs to make it so you can only have maxed out checking if your maybe a defensive D or a grinder but it will have to risk most of the other important skills.
it pisses me off how someone can have full speed, shooting power and accuracy, full checking, strength, stick checks and all the other importants. need to fix goalies in EASHl......
And did they change any of these problems for NHL 12? Noooooooooooo....! Let's hope they get this sorted for NHL 13.

u should be able to switch positions between periods or something, especially if someone leaves and u wanna take their position instead.

well, OTP has around 100 of players at once, but CoD got around 200 000+ so yea it make sense why it is much more easier to join a CoD game...

They need to implement a way to lock as a position once you join a game lobby.
They also need to make it so you can pause and tweak your settings without actually pausing the game.
Both are easy fixes and would make OTP that much better.
