  • Nice...but too bad John Astin(gomez) is not in this...carolyn Jones is smokin hot as usual.

  • @iorioriorio Oh o.k. theres John Astin...great seein them, but this set is not as good, no cobwebs, not gothic......comes off as a cheap 70's sitcom....original: much kooler

  • @iorioriorio They probably didn't have a good budget, so it just looked like a crappy 70's tv show.

  • @iorioriorio Yeah he his :)

  • what te name of the brother!?

  • @ElizaChristina93 poncho

  • Princess Millicent is Granny Frump now! BAHAHAHA

  • I love Uncle Fester in this, he was SO funny! I loved it at the end of the story 'hey wait a minute! You forgot to say 'and they lived happily ever after'!'

  • Their house and furniture is actually beautiful here! Nothing like in the new shows.

  • sigh* just no the same as the 60's

  • I don't mind that Grandmama is played by a different actress...but I don't know why they made her so crabby in this version.

  • lulz at all the pop culture references from the time

  • ah they're so in love. gomez can't stand being away from morticia- pictures all over and morticia's life size cut out. love it

  • @art4thecure1 I know, haha. I wish my room looked like that--full of Morticia. :)

  • I love the looks Carolyn makes when she says,"Its nice to know a womens wanted when he cant have her.' xD Love it and her!

  • @carolynsdreamer Me too, I thought that was hilarious. That Poncho guy bugs the hell out of me. I notice how Carolyn is always affectionate and loving with John, but with Poncho, she seems so cool and reserved. I love the cruelty in her voice when she delivers that line--sort of like she's saying, "You can look all you want but John's the only one I love."

  • @darkseaofempathy Ha yeah hes annoying to me to.. >.> lol yes i do think she actually had somthing for John.. :D Hahaha she's such a good actress. :)

  • @carolynsdreamer She did have something for him...they both fell for each other. John mentioned that before she died he met with her one last time and they told each other everything they'd held in all those years. :) Yes, she's great, isn't she? Such a shame that she created this iconic role but almost no one seems to know who she is. :(

  • @darkseaofempathy yes i agree. Everyone dont know who this great actress was and they dont even know she was the first morticia addams. :(

  • So Cousin Shy Semhein is The Great Pumpkin? XD

  • Ahhh Such a gorgeous lady to behold !

  • ese es MANOLITO del gran chaparral que hace del hermano de HOMERO

  • @pegasos550

Si, es Henry Darrow, alias "Manolito Montoya".

  • Gomez is creepily obsessed and Morticia is so dismissive in this movie. But somehow that's cool... ;)

The opponent makes their relationship more interesting...

You can tell that they had less strict guidelines than in the 60s here! ;)

  • 3:13-3:23 LOL

  • How come Fester was Morticia's brother here, and Gomez's brother in he 90's?

  • @richardwha: Because he and Grandma switched roles.

  • Haha! "Gesundheit"!

Sounds not bad for someone who can't speak German! Really!

  • I love the old Addams Family most. It just had it's own caracter and nothing else can come up to it. But nice to see all the nice actors and actresses again!♥

  • looks funny

  • lol gomez's obsession with morticia is hilarious!!!! he's gone for all of a day and he's freaking out!!!! lol

  • Vito Scotti FTW

  • damit im mad backwards is still damit im mad (lol srry randomness haha luve the addams family)

  • 9:00 SO CHEESEY!

That's why this special is so great, it's not afraid to have you laugh AT it as long as you're laughing. Nostalgia Critic should review this!

  • John Astin FTW.

  • 6:49 - 6:53 TREATED!!!

  • You see the little girl, little wendsday? Thats my aunt when she was 5 of 6!

  • what the brothers name?

  • @ElizaChristina93 Pancho Or Francisco

  • @KIVO36 Ok thanks you

  • @ElizaChristina93 Pancho Addams. He's only featured in this movie.

  • @Drowsyfox Okey hehe

  • For me it's better in black in white.

  • @sweetberrys94 me too it just doesn't seem right

  • You can't do better than the original cast but I have to say wednesday really wasn't that entertaining until a young Christina Rici played her in the first movie 15 years after this.

  • i love this- i have it on vhs and watch it every Halloween.

  • I believe Carolyn is the best Morticia I've seen.

  • I can't blame Gomez, i wouldn't trust Poncho either.

  • Uhhgg... the Star Wars reference (Hey! It's 1977!) stinks.

I'm off to watch Addams Family Values, which is the closest film/television has ever come to a true Addams Family tone.

  • @cromwellian13: Actually, the original 60's sitcom--from which this special was derived--and the first Hanna-Barbera cartoon in the 1970's were more truthful to the Addams' charm in the comics made by Charles for the New Yorker magazine. I mean, sure the movies of the 90's gave the family a gothic makeover, but in truth, despite the "horror" motif, being completely dark was not what the Addams were about. They were just a weirdly eccentric family living life as they saw fit, plain and simple.

  • @TherealRNO No, actually the family in the original comics were just plain evil. You can see that in the strips where they pour boiling oil on some carolers, and one where Fester waves a car behind him forward - into the path of an oncoming truck. They were not just eccentric, they were malevolent.

  • @MnesomnesTears: No. Sure, they did that kind of stuff for fun, but they never were evil. They just lived their lives their own way, often seeing others as "abnormal" when compared to their own lifestyle.

  • @TherealRNO Don't you think the fact that they murdered people just for fun makes them even more horrible?

I know I'm taking the strip very seriously, but if they were real people, pouring boiling oil on carolers and rolling boulders onto cars wouldn't be tolerated for a minute. Truthfully, in the movies the Addams Family was STILL a lot lighter and softer than their comic strip counterparts. And they were having fun too.

  • @MnesomnesTears: Here's the thing...despite all of that, Charles Addams never once wrote the creepy family as being truly morbid. His humor was dark and different, sure, but it wasn't evil. Remember that the comics had to have had some impact, since without them, the sitcoms, cartoons, movies, and stage musical wouldn't exist.

  • is that Punky Brewster as Wednesday?

  • @hairypolack no. Wednesday is played by Jennifer Suprenant.

  • @BettyRizzo411 Jennifer Suprenant is my aunt!

  • @MLH

What do u mean? Do u mean that Mortivia, Gomez, Lurch, and fester look the same but the other kids don't? Well that's because first Lisa(Wednesday) and Ken(Pugsley) are a lot older. And that there r two different sets if Wednesday and Pugsley: Wedneday Senior and Pugsley Senior, and then there is Wedneday and Pugsley Junior.

  • Hey...the original actors from the intro when the family was brushing each other's hair looks different than the kids in this clip...what's up wit that?

  • Terrible reference to LIFE cereals ad campaign of the 70's 80's at 9:00...

  • Lol

the guy with the dark hair with no muststachue: I think I've broken eye of the newt pudding to either mean gun enplacement or beach bucket.

  • Is Part 1 uploaded ? I didnt see it...thanks for posting this...I've never seen it. I was born in 1980 so I wasnt around in '77 for this. It's great to see them in color! The house isnt "scary" looking though, Pugsley is grown and - not fat! Wednesday is all grown up...Morticia looks great but she was much much older here so I wonder how they did it..she died of cancer in 83 - 6 years after this!

  • @AmericanEvita Actually, Carolyn Jones (Morticia) was only 48 here, so she wasn't old by any means. She does still look very sexy though; she was beautiful until the end.

  • @darkseaofempathy but she died. *tear* So sad i wish she was alive.

  • @xena1234100

I know how you feel...I would give almost anything to meet her, and it saddens me to know I never will. She seemed like such a wonderful woman. At least John Astin is still alive, if I ever get to meet him (doubtful, but oh well) I'd love to ask him about her. He seems like a great man.

  • @darkseaofempathy what age was everyone?

  • @svhwdwnut John Astin was 47, Lisa Loring was 19, Ken Weatherwax was 22, and Ted Cassidy was 45.

  • I Know It should be Black

  • why did they change the house

  • Damn, Morticia (Carolyn Jones) was sexy, even then.

  • @RevDarkehorse

    Yeah, she was.

  • @RevDarkehorse Can you believe she was actually married to Aaron Spelling at one time, yet she never tried to get any of his money after he made it.

  • ''not now gomez darling later'' lol xx

  • "Take the Bus" LOL!!

  • Lady Fingers? I think I prefer Emma Jig, the female hand Thing falls for from "Robot Chicken". :) Get it? Thing Emma Jig? :)

  • who did margaret hamilton play?

  • She was Morticia and Ophelia's mother, Mother Frump on the TV show. However, I know she was still alive then...

  • Since when does Gomez need to take the bus? He has enough money to have his own private jet, I like this movie because all the old cast is in it, but there are some glaring problems with the writing.

  • this is great. I had never seen this. Thanks for uploading.

  • I believe in Cousin Shy. I also believe in music, magic, & demons, among others. Merry - Creepy - Halloween - 2009.
