(for those who have not seen all of death note, this comment WILL HAVE SPOILERS ABOUT THE ENDING) i thought the same thing at first, but kira dying was the only option. after all, if he had lived on it would be like an unfinnished story. allso, by killing L first, they managed to make it so that we got to see the ending of both the main characters, and not just light. the N story still continiues tough but... who the f**k cares about N?
