  • very nice ... very calm and relaxing.

  • I love all yals comments, we all have a personal experience with this piece I suppose

  • i heard this song one day in music class in middle school. i was in 4th grade. i learned the whole song by ear and my music teacher was completely astonished. after 5 years of piano classes i finally went to electric guitar, but i find it humorous that a person who today plays 3 shows a week at a night club playing rock started his career by learning from the original greats :)

  • Trying to learn this piece on my guitar. There's something very soothing about learning classical music.

  • "How gentle is the rain...." ;-).

  • .lL.

  • Who is the unhappy old ma'am at 0:45? hahaha

  • @Fervorum That's Johann Sebastian Bach himself.

  • Is the Bach statue pooped

  • Holy I am in love with this version. It's the best I've ever heard!

  • this wasnt composed by bach you dumb fucs it was composed by Christian Petzold. Bach gave this song to his wife to learn how to play music.

  • @Clarkson007 - that's what's nice about music. it is open to intepretation. not saying you're wrong, but yours is one of many possible number of interpretations of it. It may have something totally different for a different listener

  • ..if you sort of opened and your eyes and did that right thing. Then when it drops thats like saying- but yes you have to work at it and feel hardship and ''all that'' -the music closes the sadness instead of wallowing in it, before ending in a sure yes you will be 'happy' if you do that. Then that sequence repeats one more time and thats it. Btw do excuse the lazy way I phrased this Thanks.

  • Im not saying Im right but I think I get what this song is about so feel free to read if you like. The opening is like saying 'what are we doing' implying that instead we should be doing something of more value like getting love etc the notes that follow that i think give a tiresome impression so its like listing the negativity of what we're doing at the moment. (the second time it repeats that its more emotionally detached -i.e not sad) Next bit the high notes says how happy you could be if

  • this is one of my favorites. i learned how to play it and after that one of my ballet teachers would use it for our pliee warm up so it's been with me a long time. so pretty.

  • Ahhh the sadness....from the gentle touch of the fingertips...I am speechless

  • Bach's pieces sound so simple, but yet so comlicated.

  • My sister plays this songs all day long.

  • @TheReverantChoir haha im one of those sisters!

  • Beautiful piece, but also wonderfully played.

  • ときどき聞きたくなるんだよね

  • definitively more much better than me.. :)

  • @Tama300 i know but it sounds sad :)

  • It's sad that 5 people don't see the beauty in this music.

  • someone remember "la abadia del crimen" of spectrum?

  • Beautiful !

  • beautiful

  • My favorite version of Minuet to play. <3

  • I love this piece :)

Remember when I was ten, I used to play this, and liked to change the final chord to G major. My teacher said "Tatiana, don't do that!". That was funny!

  • @TheEndoftheDeath

    that's a Picardy third, i love it :)

  • @TheEndoftheDeath Its funny because that's something Bach often did anyways. I bet that if this was written by Bach and not Petzold it would end in G major :)

  • @TheEndoftheDeath xDD I did it too, and my teacher said the same: "Please, don't!", but it remembered me to Bach, because he often does it (ending with a major chord when the piece is in minor). I like it better with Gm, but you're right, it's funny.

  • I think the music lets me sleep well no offense butI think he looks a little fat

  • Comment removed

It's not another version, Bach wrote it too, it's part of the minuet

  • @galigal2

Actually not written by Bach, but by Christian Petzold

  • @akafish77

Minuet in G major, BWV Anh. 114. Usually attributed to Christian Petzold.

  • @rafachinchilla This sound VERY farmilar to the record I have on my CD from this book full of those meneuts .. if that is true the pianist might be Scott Price
