  • @indy7795 Well, I hope that was a good comment!!??

  • Pardon Happy New Year

  • @indy7795 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!

    Dave

  • Merci pour toutes les vidéos, très bien expliquées, et tu chantes très bien. C'est un plaisir d'apprendre avec toi. Merry Christmas of burgondy.

  • Nicely done.....play on......

  • @EfreCristina Huh???? Dave

  • AWESOME VOICE!!!! =)

  • @ahianx Thanks but I hope your kidding! My voice is terrible, just trying to teach the guitar part, not perform.

    Thanks though!!! Dave

  • Awesome job! The chord at 3:26 is called Cmaj7 if you still care ;) Keep it up!

  • Your lesson makes it easy to learn. Thanks. What's that little lick you do around :37?

  • I think its actually about .32 seconds on mine, if thats what you mean. I am really sorry but I am in a major hurry to get somewhere now. PLEASE write to my mailbox and I will explain it thoroughly, ok? Thanks man!

    Dave

  • the clip of dave gilmour playing it on acoustic is actually in the related vids section to the right of the screen box titled david gilmour breathe acoustic thats where i got it from..top dave and your singing was cool man

  • Oh ya, I see it now. Thats from the "making of Darkiside" video. It is awesome!!! Especially the bonus material, go out and get it man, you won't be disappointed! Thanks, Dave

  • That's exactly what it is!!! You play that chord, then, remove your pinky to make that last chord. When you remove the pinky, lay your first finger across the string your pinky WAS on, just two frets lower. It feels weird at first, but you will soon get it I am sure!!

Hope that helps, thanks for writing! Dave

  • watched most ur pink floyd covers, good job man.

  • Thanks man, I really appreciate the positive feedback! Dave

  • i like pink floyd to!

    and your interpretation is top

    are you a professional?Thank you

  • Thanks man, no, just a shmuck from the south side of Chicago that LOVES Floyd! I have the making of Dark Side of the Moon D.V.D. I just kept watching and rewinding until I got it down. It's cool, Dave G. plays this on a acoustic, close up. Check out the Breathe in depth I have up, I show the chords on paper, a little more easy to grasp. Thanks again!!! Dave

  • thx's 4 da tips e.s brain damage

  • Thanks man! I did do Brain Damage, it's up here somewhere. Thanks again, dave

  • You got it! Thank you!!!! Dave

  • you sure can play the guitar but man never sing again

  • I'm with ya on that!!!

  • Your Em is wrong (the first chord).

The only way I can think of writing is to say: fret 2 on the A string and fret 4 on the D string.

On the turn around that starts with a C chord you are not playing any of those chords right. You have the basic idea completely correct but you are missing all the color that some of the phrasings Gilmour used offer. There is a ton of TAB out there on this song that can help.

Keep the Floyd alive! Great job!

  • Thanks for the tip! Actually, I do these for beginners primarily and, no, I don't know all the "fills". But, I do have another video called, Breathe in depth in which I do play that Emin. the way you suggested. Please check it out if ya get a chance, OK? Thanks again! Keep on rockin' in the free world! P.S I put chord charts up on that other one to make it easier. Sorry to say, I can't read tab or written music, I just go by ear...lol

  • Could you explain what you are doing when you slide up the A7 shape the 14th fret. What are those three chords you are playing there? Like an A7 shape, then that same shape 2 frets lower, then a D major chord fragment?

By the way, I subscribed to your channel. I love your instructional videos on Pink Floyd. You have a nice voice as well.

  • I figured it out =)

  • Thank you! Lets see, the second finger on the 14th fret is on the D string, the third, or ring finger is on the 14th fret on the B string. Then, I slide that fingering down two frets to the 12th fret. Next is second finger on the D string 11th fret, the first finger goes on the B string at the 10th fret. Thats the whole lick. He does several other little fills that I've yet to figure out. I hope that helps! Thanks again for subscribing! dave the guitar guy. I also have one, Breathe in depth.

  • Great job Dave. I love this song by Floyd. Thanks. I subscribed so keep 'em coming.

    ~George~

  • Thanks George! Dave I just did two more at americanrides

  • is that a hammer-on or pull-off at 0:24?

  • Well, actually thats part of my strumming, but, Dave Gilmoure noodles around with that A7th quite a bit. You can switch it up by hammering on the E note in the A 7th with your third finger, then add the pinky on the next fret which is a D note. That D note should be picked. So, in the A7th hammer on the E then add the pinky and pick theD. I hope that makes some kind of sense! If your not sure, please feel free to write back! Thanks, dave the guitar guy or americanrides

  • wow, this is good, you got all the cords perfectly :D

  • Thanks Reb and bojris, I appreciate the kind words! I also posted Breathe with chord charts. Go to americanrides and look for Breathe in depth, I had some requests to show the chord charts and fingering, much more comprehensive! Go to americanrides and look for Breathe in depth. Thanks again for watching! dave the guitar guy
