@SimTune I don't build requests, sorry. I'll be starting my next house this week. I just sold a tiny house for $50.00. I didn't actually give it to the guy yet though, if you want to bid higher. It's just a tiny little thing, there's pictures of it on my FB page 'themrfinneth'
You spent so much time putting in floor joists and wall studs that would just get covered up, but you didn't put in windows or paint it? I mean, it's really cool and amazing and everything, but the work that went into it doesn't equate to the awesomeness of the finished product.
@punctualbird Well, why do they put wall studs and joists in a real house? For support of course. Those are what make the house strong. With out the studs/joists, the house wouldn't have any structural integrity. Also, I want to be an architect so it's good experience for me
@TheMrFinneth Oh, if it's educational then that makes a difference. Otherwise, you could just cut the walls, floors, and roof components out of a solid panel with a jig-saw. Houses are also made of concrete - so a solid panel cut-out wouldn't really be cheating - just a thought. That may also be educational in the sense that your future creations need to be efficient and cost-effective. I wasn't trying to knock you or anything... good luck in architecture!
@punctualbird Yeah that would be possible and would save time, but I think it's boring. I'm interested in home building, and this is how I'm used to it being done. And thanks! I'm only 15 and am doing this stuff for fun now, but in the future I plan on becoming an architect or an engineer or something of that nature
@TheMrFinneth Oh you're 15? Ok, your project officially rocks then! Ever think about including some electronics, like LED lights? You could also include a bathroom - start thinking about plumbing and stuff like where air-conditioning should go. I'll tell you one thing, BE AN ENGINEER!!! I wish someone told me that when I was your age. Travel the world, build bridges, make a fortune, and then come the women (start thinking about them, too)! Good luck! :)
you should have saved all the rounded ends of the popsicle sticks and used them as shingles for the roof! hahaha great job tho! i enjoyed watching your video :)
@TheAdrianinator Lol. I've honestly watched this video at least like 10 times, not sure why I like it so much. I found all of these songs on youtube, if you're interested. Somewhere in the comments I listed the names.
you are really talented! i am going to try to make a wooden house soon, but out of balsa sticks and sheets if i can buy some for cheap. i usually create my houses out of paper. so its a much simpler process!
@mathlete94 I would LOVE to build with balsa wood and make a perfectly scaled model, but it gets expensive. Right now, these popsicle sticks are $0.005 each
@TheMrFinneth I know, balsa sticks sell for $5 for 25 and that doesnt include shipping. I am going to try to find some at Home Depot or a local craft shop or something.
Please answer these questions. 1. How one earth did you get all of these sticks? 2. How long did it take you to build? 3. This is spectacular by the way, true art.
it looks amazing, I wish I could do something like that. one question, why take the time too build all the interior walls when you could just build the exterior, not a criticism just a comment, because I'm guessing it's all connected, why do all the interior work if no one could see it. It's still spectacular though.
@TheTimrhodes93 Thanks, well there's several reasons. One, I want to be an architect, or something in the building field, and this just gives me more experience. I got to make the measurements and stuff for the walls. And you actually can see inside it pretty well. The house is over 3 feet tall, and you can see inside it, especially if it's like on a table. It will be in an art show at school soon and it will be on a table a little lower than eye level, so you'll be able to see inside.
how do u cut the popsicle sticks so fast and btw nice houses and check out our channel we build stadiums out popsicle sticks and other stuff like catapults and arenas. :)
@invisiblespandex Thanks but I would never put any living creature inside this because they would 1. poop all over it and 2. probably die somewhere inside where I can't reach lol..
shcoked . the thing i do for the first year of my acrchitectural studies are nothing . got a video of a wodden model i make also but it like 1/200 and really it took me only 6 hours . @BillySketchArtist Hopefully something in the home/architectural area. I'm taking drafting next year (even though I know how to do all that stuff), so I can take architectural drafting the year after
@Andy303theking That's an archway. Go to my profile, in the channel description there will be a link to a Picasa photo album, click it, then find the picture of the archway. I have a close up picture showing how its made
@Andy303theking I've made plenty. Why don't you take the 2 seconds to look at my other videos before asking that. And I assume by "totrail" you mean tutorial
@straya520 Because it has fully functioning lights in each room. Each room has it's own light switch on the wall aswell. The house has a wire that plugs in to an outlet. The lights are small LED's that will last forever. All wires are hidden in the walls, in the floors, and in the attic. Check out my tour of this house to see.
