I'm a die-hard niners fan but I think this video would be more appropriately named "49ers Quarterbacks making terrible throws resulting in touchdowns turning into 5 yard gains and Michael Crabtree being tackled after 3 yards." Nothing against either quarterback, I love Alex Smith.
Hello Michael, I'm a niners fan, send this message to Alex Smith: Tell him, "Grow some steel in your balls man!!! Why can't he deliver inside the 10? Hey, Alex, please grow a "killer instinct" man. Alex reminds me of a "pampered boy" that gets ice cream for taking out the trash. Alex needs to "grow some steel in his balls". Alex needs a "killer instinct" to bury the hatchet.
Am I the only one that thinks this guy looks SLOW? I don't mean to knock the guy or anything, I know he was one of the greatest wr's statistically in college and he also has really nice super glue hands, but I think he lacks the speed to become an elite wr.
@VikingsRuler Dez Bryant and Anquan Boldin both ran 4.67's pre draft and look faster on game day. Crabtree is probably somewhere in the same area but his quickness and burst allow him to be a #1 WR.
We gotta get crabtree the ball more last week against the lions was a good start wit the nine catches but dam his contract is up after next year and he will b gone if he don't get his stats. I personally think crabtree is the best wide out in the league
wow, this kid was making both alex smith and Troy Smith look phenomenal, it's so sad sometimes to see such good WR's not have a good QB to throw at them. I can't imagine what kinda stats he would put up in the Packers, or Colts or Saints.
Trade him!!! Alex smith is ass... we will never knw how good crabtree really is wit Alex playin QB.... Good route runner, great hands, good in space, just enough speed, plays da ball in da air he has everything u need 2 b a great WR but a QB
Cowgirls play play 9ers next Sunday and I wish you had Crab-baby how the hell did he ever get the stature he has is beyond belief . In the 9er tradition going way back Gene Washington to the 80's Freedie Solomon, 80's 90's John Taylor the best ever Jerry Rice, Craptree (is that too harsh?)is allll talk no show. The AI of FB with out ever doing a thing. He'll write a book "Preseason whats that?"
watchin this shows the real potential of crabs wish he played for gb were we know how to uses wrs that excell in open space... im also suprised how well alex smith looks in this vid
i think he was pretty fast at Texas tech...he got slower in the nfl!!!he is a good player...go 49ers...the new 3-4 defense should shut down teams that run the ball alot....go 49ers.....
at 3:11 did you see the raiders cheerleader cheer when the niners made a touchdown!!! It was in the raiders field their not supposed to be cheering!!!
im a 49ers fan and im going to sound very bias with this statement but i see greatness in michael crabtree. potential to be a top five wideout in the nfl
@illmaculate209 crabtree is good but i dont think hes an elite player, given the problems they qb are valid but he doesnt make alot of explosive plays like a calvin johnson or andre johnson ohe's a good player but i dont see that that type of greatness from him
If he had peyton he wud be a pro bowl receiver because he is excellent at moving the chains and he can also go long and stretch the defense with his speed
It's funny how people always say the Calvin Johnson is producing 1000 season with shitty Qb's. These are the people who you call tell right of the bat, DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL. They just look at the numbers when the year is over and say OH HE's A BEAST IF HE HAD A BETTER QB HIS NUMBERS WOULD BE GREATER. Calvin Johnson puts up 1000 yard season with shitty QB's because he gets the ball thrown his way 140 times a season. And he barley even catches half of those passes.
@Davanca24 Throw Crabtree the ball 140+ times in a season and you will see him put up 1000 yard numbers. But that won't happen because the Niners have V.Davis you needs to get the ball thrown his way atleast 120 times.
i think you have to be more acurate with crabtree because he dont have speed like calvin johnson calvin got beter seperation than crabtree and crabtree you can thrown even when he covered pretty good and can still make the catch.
crab has everything you want in a wr strength in his hands, can get separation, style enough to be sponsored by jordan , plays with swag eaverage speed could be faster but remember he had foot surgery or some shit .
Don't give me the crappy QB argument. Calvin Johnson consistently cracks 1000 yds with some of the shittiest QBs in the NFL. Stafford has been injured most of his career.
@rtflyer Its noy just the QB. Its also bad OCs, a defenive minded HC, a run first offense and of course Crabs not playing like an all-pro. I just think the bust talk is NUTS. Is he the best WR n the league? No. Is he the best one on the team and is he a good player? YES.
@marvin49 Crabtree isn't terrible but he has yet to show himself to be even a pro bowl caliber player. Nicks, mike wallace and maclin are ahead of him right now in overall playmaking ability and production. Heck crabtree isn't even the best receiving option on his team. that is vernon davis.
@rtflyer Also...don't compare him to Megatron. That guy has the potential to be the best PLAYER in the NFL regardless of position. A guy isn't a bust simply because he isn't Calvin Johnson.
@rtflyer Someones not diving into the numbers enough, Calvin Johnson may not have good QBs throwing to him but hes in a rare case where his team is near the top of the league in pass attempts thats a stark contrast to Mike Singletary's run first philosophy. Its hard to judge recievers until they have legitimate passers in the backfield just look at Dwayne Bowe and his production before Cassel and that offense took a big step forward this season. This is from a seahawks fan.
if he has another "average" year this year hes a bust. hes only played 1 and a half years without a training camp. he has to be good this year or i think they need to trade him or something i dont know
@TGOD49er Why? All I need him to be is a good but not grear WR. I think he is already that. IMO opinion he has already reached the minimum acceptable play. Do I want him to play better? Of course, but he's already been much better than people give him credit for. He's been the 49ers best WR by a longshot in both of his seasons with BAD OCs, a defenser minded HC, an unstable QB position, and no training camp.
@marvin49 his stats have been average andi know all that shitty qb stuff and bad coaches but his stats are just average for 10th pick. i guess everyone just wants him to be like a reggie wayne, greg jennings, or a roddy white. id love him to be that good but i dont expect it. i just think he should be better like 85 catches and like 8 TDs
@TGOD49er Lets compare the 2 year number on all of those guys...
Crabtree: 103 catches, 1366 yards, 8 TDs (
Wayne: 76 catches, 1061 yards, 4 TDs (yes he had Harrison ahead, but also had Manning)
Jennings: 98 catches, 1552 yards, 15 TDs (also had Favre)
White: 59 catches, 952 yards, 3 TDs
I'm sorry, but that aint bad when you consider what he's had to work with. Can he be better? Of course he can, but he aint anywhere near being a bust.
@TGOD49er I think his rookie year was much better than "average". In only 11 games with no minicamps (because he was hurt prior to draft) and no training camp (Holdout) he had 48 catches for 625 yards. If you pro-rate that over 16 games, its nearly 70 catches for 909 yards. That aint bad for a run based team. Last year was down from those numbers, but his TD number tripled. All of that i a run-first offense with BAD OCs, a defensive HC, and three different QBs.
@marvin49 im with you. i dont think hes a bust either but i just feel he MUST and will have a good year but if he doesnt then id start considering him a bust
@grandmasterphil2 If I wanted to make Crabtree look great, I'd have made a highlight video. I made a vid of ALL of his catches (at least all the ones I could).
Hey Crabtree how about you actually catch your fucking passes instead of tipping them for INT's. Alex Smith can only be your scapegoat for so long but when you start coughing up the balls, get the fuck outta here. I smell bust big time. I wish Vernon Davis woulda whooped your ass but then again that's why Mike Singletary is fired.
I am a 49ers season ticket holder, and after watching every game full of dropped catches- I got seriously pissed that after Crabtree played game after game with 3 receptions for a one yard net gain, he remained number one receiver.
The 49ers need to cut their loses and promote Morgan to #1. Thankfully, I think Harbaugh will do this- or at least make him compete this year.
Oh, and to all you supporters of Crabtree- talent doesn't count for crap if he can't catch.
the rob zombie song takes me back about 12-13 years ago, when i was little playing twisted metal1,2,3,4,black on ps1,2. like this if you used to play this
@thedarkyobo Keyword: Talent. I agree, his hands haven't been the SUREST thing. But the chemistry w/ the QB's also wasn't there either along with his shitty work ethic. Cmon now though, kid got talent... Just needs some work.
Crabtree could be really good in the WCO. He doesnt have great speed but he does have good hands and is very shifty in the open field. Reminds me of a taller Peter Warrick. I know that doesnt seem like a compliment but it is.lol
We Have The Most Weapons. Hands Down. West Coast Off Get The Ball In the Playmakers Hands And Let Them Work..Just Got A QB And 1 Pass Rushers If not 2...Championship..
i think he could be one of the best in terms of doing things after the balls been caught. Once we get a ligit QB i would be suprised to see him lead the league in YAC
Its both. The 49ers dont have a real QB to get him the ball, but Crabtree isnt helping himself either by skipping training camp 2 years in a row, from his holdout and fake pain from injuries. He never even learned the full playbook or took time off in the offseason to build chemistry with his QB. If he doesnt fully commit himself next season, he definetly might get traded.
Great Video! I always look forward to your highlight vids. Just FYI while Crabtree didn't play up to expectations this year he led the team in first down receptions with 40. Also 319 of his 741 yds were YAC. And has been the most productive receiver since TO. With consistent and improved QB play should really benefit him this upcoming season.....if there is one.....
F rap .... you know when players get ready to go out there they dont listen to rap they listen to ............ THIS I LOVE THE VIDEO man i hope we can get a QB some one who can allow crabtree morgan and davis to reach their FULL potential crabtree is a beast love watching him play he wants it love watching him after the catch amazing how he makes em miss his ability to stop and go next year i see him over 1000 yrds and 10+ tds break out season 49ers 2011 west champs crabtree keep it up we luv ya
Thanks for the video! All Crabtree needs is a decent QB. About 80% of the passes were too low, or too high, or floated when they shoulda been zipped, or too far in front, or behind him. If Alex "Can't-hit-the-side-of-a-Barn" Smith hits him in stride, he'd easily have a few hundred extra yards and more TD's.
One of my favorite Crabtree plays this year was one that he didn't catch the ball. It was on Gore's screen pass vs the Rams when he gained about 40 yards and Crabs just kept on blocking until the end where he decked a LB. A LB!!!!!!!!!
Its going to be real interesting how Harbaugh plans to use Crabtree. It will also be interesting to see if Crabtree continues a half ass owrk ethic while learning the W.C offense.
Crabtree was much more to blame than the QBs for his crappy play this year. He has no one to blame but himself. I remember 3 of the first 5 INTs this year were directly his fault. Ridiculously inconsistent.
On another note: Crabtree really isnt a #1, but he can be a good #2 Wr. Seeing this vid really makes me hope we draft Julio Jones from Alabama. Hes the deep threat Wr need. There no QB worth drafting in the 1st round. The best D-line players will be gone before we pick. If we cant get one of the top CB, we should either trade back, or select a Wr to help our next QB or rookie QB development in the W.C offense.
Awsome vid but horrible song choice. Not a bad season with a horrible coaching staff and qb switches so frequently. I expect Crabtree to strive in the WCO under Harbaugh. Go Niners!
wtf I never noticed on 0:37 Morgan was wide open, and clearly a better option to throw to smh.Thank god were getting rid of sergeant stare down.
I was hella disappointed in Crabtree this year even tho he had 6 TD's which is decent, then again most of the blame was on inconsistent QB play from Allies & Troy and Dingleberry and not knowing how to use offenseive weapons to save his life.Hopefully Harbaugh can help out Crabs when he brings in a real QB
Haha thats all the proof you need right there to know he isnt an NFL QB. He doesnt go through his progressions, unless forced by pressure, he telegraphs his passes, doesnt use proper mechanics when throwing, inconsistently inaccurate on all levels of the field. Im seeing Crabtree catch alot of short passes in this vid, I dont think A.Smith understood the term decoy on some of these plays. He kept throwing to Crabtree even though he seen him about to be blasted for short gain.
Respond to this video... The play at :37 Morgan isn't even looking at the ball when the pocket is collapsing, we can't see who was behind him either. Are you talking about a different play?

i think he could be one of the best in terms of doing things after the balls been caught. Once we get a ligit QB i would be suprised to see him lead the league in YAC

Man i want him to become a beast so bad.

one of the best receivers in the league once the ball is in his hands, his ability to make people miss tackles is insane

i know niner fans hate alex smith, but these throws he's makin look really good
bdborth 10 months ago
Most the balls alex smith threw were terrible... too high, too low, too far in front I'm surprised Crab made HALF of his catches

Crabtree will only improve with the 49ers bringing in Jim Harbaugh as the head coach and installing the West Coast offense.
Lookin forward to next season, and the draft next week. Go 49ers!

Nice Video. I dont know why people keep hating on Crabs stats this past year. Compare the TD stats from 2009, and 2010. BIG difference.

Thanks for the video! All Crabtree needs is a decent QB. About 80% of the passes were too low, or too high, or floated when they shoulda been zipped, or too far in front, or behind him. If Alex "Can't-hit-the-side-of-a-Barn" Smith hits him in stride, he'd easily have a few hundred extra yards and more TD's.

he needs a better work ethic to be great

One of my favorite Crabtree plays this year was one that he didn't catch the ball. It was on Gore's screen pass vs the Rams when he gained about 40 yards and Crabs just kept on blocking until the end where he decked a LB. A LB!!!!!!!!!

I Hope Next Season We Get To See Kyle Williams Highlights..But I Hope Crabtree Keeps Doing His Thang Next Season..GO NiNeRs!!

Its going to be real interesting how Harbaugh plans to use Crabtree. It will also be interesting to see if Crabtree continues a half ass owrk ethic while learning the W.C offense.

@denali22 I thought about that, but it doesn't work very well the way I edit. It just ends up being nonsensical snips of conversations.
marvin49 1 year ago
@marvin49 ah yeah, 49er broadcasters tend to be a bit more off topic. again kudos to the quality of the video!

Crabtree was much more to blame than the QBs for his crappy play this year. He has no one to blame but himself. I remember 3 of the first 5 INTs this year were directly his fault. Ridiculously inconsistent.
binary 1 year ago

RongSoulja1992 1 year ago
@RongSoulja1992
