I had also heard that this was based on his brother. His brother had mental / emotional problems. He commited suicide, jumped off a building, when david heard his brother was standing on a legde treatening to jump, David ran down to where he was, and when he got there a crowd of ppl were standing below yelling jump. And, he did.
