im 42 and grew up in a large family. I knew what it was like to only have what you NEEDED not necessarrily what you wanted....ive worked with kids most of my adult life and most kids cannot successfully, sad to day, use a broom. Most kids feel intitled to 125dollar shoes, clothes from american eagle, a blackberry and a new car at 16. Most parents have been "too busy" to teach their kids simple things that teaches self reliance or basic work ethics. Out of guilt they indulge their kids.

Food prices are way up here (Maryland - near Washington DC) gas prices are rising even though the price of oil is dropping, you can't sell a house, crime is up. There has been an acceleration of job losses resulting in further job losses, due to less money being spent at places of business that employ the majority of working americans. Job loss acceleration is a self-fulfilling prophecy that unfortunately feeds on itself, gets an expanded stomach size, then feeds on itself again at a greater rate than it did before. Recovery in '11 possible.
