There has to be a place where we take off our shoes because there's something particularly true about that place or that Person. Walking around everywhere barefoot isn't a theology -- it's a lack of one

You may very well need special places. Others of us have walked a different way, and have a different understanding. I wish you Good travels on your path, but please understand that because some see differently doesn't mean they are wrong, just using a different perspective
Love the song. Ludicrously, as a fan of what he's saying, I'm quick to critique it: if everything is holy, nothing in particular is. It's like saying "everything is large" -- you lose the ability to differentiate. To say everything is something is to predicate nothing, really. It SOUNDS good, but it's more an emotive, connotative hat trick than it is a meaningful claim.
I agree with the nice responses posted, and want to express my thanks to the person who posted this, and to Peter Mayer. I have played this video many times since Michael Dowd shared it with a group of us, and have shared it with others. Peace be with you.
I was fortunate enough to see him at my church on Feb. 6 -what an amazing songwriter and guitarist he is. Such a lovely combination of the sublime and everyday whimsy, like "Jama Day".
THanks so much for posting this! I fell in love with the song when I heard Laurie McClain sang it, and I am so happy to have a chance to hear Peter perform it!
He's just a amazing singer, I want to cry when I hear his music.
I heard him perform a song about Japanese Bowls, and i'm dying to know the name of it. It's new, and it's not out on CD yet, but I heard him sing it live, and it was the most amazing song, not kidding.
I loved it. Can anyone tell me the name of it? I'm dying to know!!
I love this song! I heard Peter sing this song on the public radio show honoring the Morning show which is going off air. It was a show put on at the Fitzgerald theater in Twin Cities. How lucky I was to tune in and now am a huge fan of Peter Mayer. I love the music of John Gorka and now I love Peter Meyer and will be looking for his C.D's.
Thanks for this awesome video of such a beautiful and meaningful song.
I am in love with this song. Heard for the first time, July 30th in a Filmore Chapel Service that featured a Student Minister Bob Brach giving his first sermon, "I Am Enough". Afterwords, I asked the soul moving bluesy "Music Man" Dale Worley, if it was an original - one that he wrote. Dale said no, but I could find it on You Tube, performed it's creator, Paul Mayer. Thank you Paul Mayer. Thank you Dale Worley.
Pst... It's Peter Mayer... not Paul. It's one of my favorite songs of his, I actually used to attend the same Church as Peter and it was always a treat when he played.
When i first heard this song, i put the track on repeat, and danced around my kitchen cooking cherry jam, hugging the whole entire world at once. Thank you.

Is anyone aware of Peter's work on the Dave Weckl's CD "Master Plan"? Great guitar licks and vocal work. Pick it up and add it to your collection.

For the longest time I thought this was performed by Darius Rucker/Hootie & The Blowfish. Love this song!

@blewj He hurt his wrist? :-( Was it recent? I saw him play last Saturday (amazing as always) and he seemed fine.

Dedicated to the memory of godchaser from rk's/mindx.
Yes, "everything's a miracle" and maybe a miracle will happen here on youtube where scattered mindx'ers will find
each other until our meeting place is re-built. : ) Harvard
