The didn't get divorced. Doug goes to Bejing with Carrie. They work things out, and apopt the baby, and Carrie finds out she's pregnant. We cut to one year later with them taking care of the crying babies, and Arthur showing up with a suitcase saying things didn't work out. Then a montage of clips from the run of the show. Happy ending.

This episode was stupid because the whole show was based off of one of the two of them doing something stupid, they fight over it, and then have sex 5 minutes later. Doug kept his apartment that he hid from Carrie so he could play cards with Deacon, Spence, and Danny but Carrie forgave Doug in 1 minute. When the same happens to Doug then he wants a divorce.

Arthur would be the bane of anybody's existence. He is selfish, puerile and querulous. I do admire both Doug and Carrie for taking him in to their home, and putting up with his shenanigans. They exhibit a great deal of patience with him.

@Yip3kiyayMotherFuker I like the show as a whole. I find it to be fairly entertaining, along with reruns of "Seinfeld,' "Frasier," and "Curb Your Enthusiasm." All four of them are my favorite comedies.

The Doug character is probably the one the like the least. He's too selfish and infantile for my taste. He's humorous in a lowbrow sort of way. Carrie can be abrasive and demanding, no doubt, but somebody has to keep the household a float. Doug would be pissing in the sink if it wasn't for Carrie

Too me, Arthur made the show! Even though he was difficult and stubborn, his antics were amusing. Jerry Stiller is a terrific actor. I enjoyed him on "Seinfeld," and "King of Queens." He's by far, the best in the series IMO.

Deacon is quite comical in his own right. I like his character too. Kelly I'm indifferent towards. Spencer and Holly did a good job in their limited roles. Good sitcom overall.
