If everyone stopped breeding, domestic dogs would be extinct within a couple decades. Most of the dogs in shelters are from BYBs or puppy mills, not reputable breeders. BYBs and puppy mills need to be stopped, not people who's life passion is breeding and caring for the dogs they've produced their entire lives.
