This song took me back in the year 1997, when I told my very first boyfriend to call it a day there was so many painful emotions and dam how we cried it tore us both up, that's why I up until this day don't get involved with in laws, common courtesy that's all the hell will do for me,it was just so devastating I couldn't eat for weeks and man when he called I just hang up the phone and dam I cried like hell after!

This song is sooooo powerful......never understood love until my first heart break. It's hurts soooo much yet feels sooooo good when its rite. That verse that starts at 3:15 is not only my favorite part of this song, and HAS been since '95 when it came out, but it's some of THE BEST SINGING Aretha has ever put out. I still get goosebumps, especially if my heart is going through something. That's the sign of a TRUE artist.
