Just beautiful! I've BC'd twice and am curly as ever. I think once I'm tired of the fro this time around, I just may loc it. I already have 4-6 inches of new growth and the last BC was just this past March. I haven't been following your journey so I'm not sure how long it took you to get your current length but I am very curious. Did you begin your locs with long hair?

@becca1783 Good luck with the piple cleaners. Yes they are reusable. You can just straighten them back out and reuse again and again. I have even washed them before.

Loxy your hair came out gorgeous. I would like to try the style too but unsure how to pull it off. To spiral curl my hair in the past I Bantu-ed it, which can be quite a pain and I fear I damage my roots if I do it too often. My dreads are waist length and on leaning towards thick. Do you think the technique would work for me? Thank you in advance for any advice and for the vid. :o)

@MsMayhem3000 I think it will work. It might take a little time. First wash and re-twist. I would recommend making the pipe cleaners longer in length by connecting two or more together. Making them thicker by braiding them together. Lately I have been using one pipe cleaner per three locs. Once you have you hair rolled with the pipe cleaners I would re dampen the hair and let dry for 2 to 3 days. You can actually style the pipe cleaners up into a up do.

@sadecious Did you try it yet? I very rarely wear my locs straight.  Once I started wearing a braid out and spiral curls I was hooked. I don't have to style my hair when wearing a braid out or sprial curls.

Very nice, really girlie. Did you say that you set eace loc on a pipe cleaner? Because it made the lock more uniform than putting too many on a pipe cleaner.

Yes. My first try I used about 1 to 2 locs per pipe cleaner. You are correct it did give me a more uniform curl. The last couple of times I did 3 to 5 locs per pipe cleaner are the curls are not as uniform or spiral. It's a hit and miss. I think the next time I will go back to one loc per cleaner. Thank You.. The Spring Curls makes the color look brighter. I was using peroxide to lighten m locs but I believe the peroxide was weakening my locs. So I might try color later.

Hi, I do my own locs and it's all my hair. I have been growing them since 12/1998. A loctician helped my for the first two years or so. My locs are just palm roll. My locs are thin and I have experienced breakage and thinning locs in the middle of the loc. Onelove

Yesterday I went to Macys to find some cheap base ended up at the Clinique counter they had it for 14 bucks. Anywho, a Clinique rep did my eyes, when I looked, I got up and asked her do you know what the F%$# you doing it was that BAD look like she dressed me for HOLLOWEEN. blotches everywhere even on the sides of my face, I couldn't believe she did that shit.
