im currently playing this for my all state solo entry and its very diffucult to match such a full sound and clear articulation. I'm only a freshmen in highschool and hearing this piece makes me inspired to finish off the last page of movement one and make nationals...
@xHuntedGunzPCGx Of course it's from other movements/concertos. The same guy wrote it. Typically composers write some of the same things in their music, almost like their signature. Even John Williams, and other more modern composers do this. :)
At the beginning of the last 16th? note runs, there were maybe two small floofy moments.Everyone knows what a 'floofy' is right?- Beyond that, it was wonderful. Rankfrankkrank is correct, this should have been memorized but this was a rather complicated piece. Fabulously done. Truly
Playing from memory is not necessarily a prerequisite of great performance but it does get you more INTO the music, as you're "outputting" 100% rather than inputting (read) & outputting simultaneously. It places slightly more cognitive demands on you to play with music when you know it from memory, but at the same time gives you security of avoiding mindblocks during performances. I guess it's what you're comfortable with. But showmanship demands that you play from memory.
I have no respect for dumb people that comment negative things on a video like this one. I would assume you are an overweight smelly man who sits at your computer all day placing judgment on others videos to put them down.
1)This video is camera quality, obviously you arent going to hear the perfect tuning as you would in say, the live performance.
2) Clarinet is central. Ignore the orchestra you idiots!
3) Please post a video of yourself playing better then him, because you know you cant.
The first violins are very out of tune in the first two tutti sections, and the soloist is a tad flat when he gets louder, and its noticeable, but the technique is flawless!
Sorry man it sounded to short for my taste in the beg.

why are the cornet all the way in the back?
kcaj48 3 years ago
Cornet are put in the back in most orchestras so that the can produce more dynamics and not cover up the string players or the soloist.

bueno el video..solo que por mi parte le hubiera captado el sonido del clarinete con algo de reverb natural...para darle un sonido mas calido...
