  • This is a wonderful tutorial. I have been thinking about cutting my hair shorter but I couldn't fathom giving up my victory rolls! This video might have just changed my mind. Also what lip stick are you wearing. It looks fabulous!

  • @xxhannahcupcakes i don't remember! haha. But thanks

  • WOW I ahve trying to do this for ages! What do you put on your fingers?

  • @ChrystelleSG Sometimes pomade. :)

  • I just like you. =D Something about you is so....likeable. =D

  • I want a 1940's haircut by the way... not the bob.

  • Ok. i have a question. If i want a haircut like yours but with a longer length, how do i ask for it... how do i know they have a person to do that haircut in my town?

  • @vgfigue This haircut is just a layered bob in this video. Do you mean my current haircut in my most recent videos?

  • May I offer you a tissue for your nose?

  • @Jesushealing yes please...:)

  • @LisaFreemontStreet I hope, I did not offend you..:-). It is just so sweet... such a stylish lady with a running nose... Your videos are very inspirational. I just went from black hair to white hair. And I love the 40is... So, thank you! Love, Victoria

  • @Jesushealing lol...not at all!! Thank you for offering me tissue. ;-)

  • Where do you get your hair accessories?

  • @vancouverbites Belle Blossoms dot com

  • It's official. I am completely unable to do victory rolls. :(

  • @abenway85 dont give up!!

  • @LisaFreemontStreet This being my 2nd attempt, I barreled through at the last minute and accomplished a messy version. Hoping I can perfect it in time for New Years Eve. My outfit demands it.

  • its really good to watch what you girls will do to make yourself look good for us men , xxx

  • Hey, thanks for an awesome tutorial! I'm using this hair style for a play I'm in. and it has gotten so many compliements! I owe it all to you! thanks!! <3

  • this has always been my favorite style, the hair, makeup, clothes. you embody it perfectly!

  • Thanks so much for the tutorial! You made it super easy for me to learn! Much appreciated! :D

  • thank you so much for this! i recently cut my hair into a bob and have a hell of a time trying to get it to look good. your tips are awesome!

  • Thanks for sharing! I have this exact hair cut right now and this is the first video demonstrating this technique on short hair.

  • Oh, I can't wait to try this! I'm terrible at curcling my hair with hot rollers, which is all I have, but I am certainly going to try!

  • why can't i like this?! it's such a beautiful look, it makes me want to cut all of my hair off to a bob

  • Lisa <3 whats a good way to do victory rolls with bangs?

  • @HeatheretteC Just leave the bangs down and do them onthe sides but be careful not to make them look like horns. :)

  • I love your accent, and you've given me ideas to do with my own short hair :)

  • I LOVE that you put up the links to other similar videos!! :)

  • I LOVE that you put up the links to othersimilar videos!! :)

  • Adorable !!! You look beautiful

  • you should do a shirley temple look!

  • @HalloweenR5 please shoot me a photo of the style you are considering...

  • I really struggle to make Victory Rolls, for some reason the art of rolling my hair in a giant pin curl and then positioning it just right has completely escaped me...you make it look so easy. Any tips...or is it just going to take practice???

  • @nkschleic yes, lots of practice

  • I have the same hair type as you so this is very helpful. Thank you.

  • you make doing victory rolls look so EASY!!! I have tried to do this to my hair several times and end up looking silly!! this makes me want to keep trying though!

  • Flock of Seagull hair...LOL

  • what kind of brush do you use?

  • @normajean010626 I use a Denman Styling Brush

  • @LisaFreemontStreet well I hope I can buy it here in Germany :)

  • So glad someone finally did this style for shorter hair! Which hot sticks would you recommend?

  • @XBetteDavisStyleX I use the Clairol ones I got for 14.99 at Wal Mart. See my review. :)

  • that looks so cute!!

  • Thank you so much for all you hair tutorials

  • love this as well as the avant garde look when your curls first come out.

  • amazing!! :)

  • Super cute!

  • I've been debating a bob - I have curly hair and if humidity is up my options are down. I feel "safer" doing retro styles when my hair is long & I just can't make myself commit. Then when I see your video I think..mayyyyyybe I could do it.

  • I love your hair short!

  • annoyed*

  • this is an awesome tutorial! I've been annoying because it's hard to find tutorials for short hair, but now I can watch your videos without getting jealous of the long hair! lol :P

  • I love it

  • You make it look so easy :) LOVE your videos!

  • Oh, hallelujah for this video. I just got my hair bobbed! Yayyyyyyyyy!

  • Oh, hallelujah for this video. I just got my hair bobbed! Yayyyyyyyyy!

  • Yay! Now I can watch it :-)

  • I love this hairstyle! I have shoulder-length hair, so I don't know how it's gonna turn out, but I think I'm just gonna do what you did and be creative. :) thanks for uploading. I had already given up trying to do victory rolls, but I've changed my mind.

  • @SmileySmileyAlly it takes a while to get the hang of rolling them, and then longer to figure out how to pin them so they look the way u want them to. Good luck!

  • Beautiful!!! I love your hair color!

  • this is so cute! i love it...i have been a subscriber since i was 13 back in 2008 (: but i had to make a new account so i had to re-subsribe to your channel i love what you do and i always look forward to any video you make (:

  • I love this! Your first victory roll tutorial is what helped me find your channel. It was very helpful for my Sally Jupiter costume. I had very short hair for a while, and would do that pomp/roll/pin curl like thing all the time.

  • Thank you! So wonderful.

  • Well, this came out very, very well. Outstanding! I am always inspired to try new things after watching you. Do you think it would be odd to do just this style hair without the clothes or makeup? Also, do you ever get tips from older ladies who actually did their hair like this back in the day? I would love to see an interview series on older ladies and their hair and you could ask them all kinds of questions. It could be another series for you! It would be so, so fun, esp with your warmth!

  • @lisaturtle13 good idea!

  • @lisaturtle13 omg i LOVE that idea! i would LOVE that to happen :D

  • LOVE IT! you're so sweet :)

  • What kind of products would you suggest for long, thick, stubborn hair?

  • @thatgurl34 first...scissors. :) JK. If your hair is very long, try some of the tips on elegantlyamused's channel. She has really thick hair also, I believe.

  • Stunning :)

  • I can't explain to you how happy I am that we both happened to cut our hair into bobs at the same time. I cut it off in a frenzy and then realized i had no idea how to style it. thank goodness for you!

  • Oohh, the Flock of Seagulls comment made me giggle! So true!

  • Loooooove

  • Your highlights show off that victory roll perfectly! Thank you sooooo much for doing the tutorials for short hair! I have the stacked wedge bob. I know many other girls that have it as well but I'm the only one that doesn't just wear it straight.

  • I liked the way you wear your hair in every step you are going through. This shorter hair is very, very nice on you. You could stop even before brushing the newly release curls and you would be a little Shirley Temple but, seriously, it looked great on you.

It is nice listening to your baby when she is happy.

  • Thank u sooo much for making available on mobile devices it means alot because that means that the rest of your followers can also watch this for example at ( work and show co workers ) and spread the word even more about how fabulous is lisafreemontstreet !! You should do this to all videos :) thank you !

    Ps .

I'm going to go see social distortion also in October!'

  • @nelliemonroe1989 yay! :)

  • I've been watching your videos as I grow out my hair for styling ideas and I love them! I have to say though, the way you rolled your sideways pincurl looked the same as they way you formed your victory roll on the other side. I'm still confused!

  • @Schnoogles That's because a victory roll is a giant pin curl. THe difference is the placement. The larger one is places in a traditional victory roll and the 'sideways pin curl' is lying flat against the head. But you form them the same way.

  • Love it! Thank you for making this video viewable for iPhone users! :-) I love watching all of your tutorials.

  • Oh the Bechstein Stomp?

  • @Victorian9322 yes!

  • That song in the beginning was epic! What was it? Awesome look!
