@nevermorelenore hope it turned out well. here in our area the kudzu bugs have taken over and unfortunately, I can't make the jelly again til they are gone.
my neighbor has some kudzu that grows beside her house. As I walked the dogs by them everyday I would smell them - such a wonderful smell too. Supposely they don't bloom every year. So I hit the jackpot this year!
I had to come here to see this since beth was talking about it. It looks interesting. Never heard of it ever. Looks yummy. I am such a jelly girl...toast no butter and just jelly. MMmmm.
Awesome!! So...this is kudzu jelly! So ... what does it taste like? Have you ever tried making sugar free? With stuff like Splenda replacement. Hmm I wonder if you can do jelly with that stuff. Neato.
Yea, you could, but the funny thing is, my son and I are allergic to artifical sweetners. We could make some special next time with it, but we can't eat it. It kinda taste like grape jelly, but with a different flavor..so to speak. pm me and I'll send you some!
no problem! I don't think about the snake thing. I guess I should. I've seen some in our own backyard, but I seem to worry more about tics than snakes. I had never noticed the blossoms either til I tried the jelly from a friend. Then I kept my eye out! thanks for watching
That looks really good. I've heard of this jelly before. I've actually never noticed blossoms on kudzu before. I'll be looking more closely now. lol How long did it take you and your neighbor to pick 8 cups of blossoms? I would have been terrified of running into a snake. Did the thought of that bother you? I think I ask too many questions! lol Nice video and great instruction!
p.s. you can use any part of the kudzu plant as food, the web site said from which I got the recipe from. I don't think I'm that adventurous, but I had the jelly before.
When I lived in South Carolina I had this Jelly before and it is YUMMY! Here in Michigan we can not make it cause we dont have any Kudzu. I need to get a southern friend to make me some and send it to me. SMILES HUGS to you xoxo
Thanks for the video. I have been wanting to try this for years. I noticed our blossoms are out now. Wish me luck!

Boy, you could make a million bucks in Georgia!
Very curious what the finished product tastes like.
And the background music was great, too.
