I have a Tahoe and a H2 and they are not built the same.

But when I did my solid axle conversion the next couple of weeks after I also built my bumpers and Exo cage. But when my truck was stock it still had great wheeling abilitys with its IFS and stock rear electric locker. But now I fill like it can go anywhere. Next I'm mounting a rear winch and rear disc brakes.
If you live anywhere near Socal, I have a 06 rubicon unlimited, that did the Miller's Jeep Trail, all stock, with just 2 guys in the Jeep, 2 weeks after I bought it. Don't have a video, because the trail I'm talking about isn't wide enough for you to get out and take pictures and shit. Anyone that knows anything about 4wheeling will tell you a Rubicon is much more capable than a H2. It is essentially a glorified suburban. Jeeps were built for off-road use.

I want to see a H2 with a real trail worthy soild axle swap. I've never seen one but someone had to have done it. My friend just exo caged an H2 and it was bad ass. Also dont listen to all these haters I've built trail rigs out of jeep's, toyota's, a chevy K5, and suzuki's they all have pro's and con's. A solid frount axle would be way better than the cv's on a IFS. Like a full size dana 60 hybrid with a four link and some kind of huge coilover and a ARB locker would be sick on a H2.
Very true. But that depends on the solid axle you run anything held together with a C clip will slide out but something like a 14bolt or anything of that sort will hold together. IFS has more moving part's to break, like if you break a spindle or an upper or lower arm your going to be calling the tow truck. And in my oppion Solid axle's are way easyer to fix on the trail. And the articulation you get with solid axle's is unconparable. But come on you do have to admit a SAS H2 would be cool:)

I bought mine because I really like the looks/capability right off the showroom floor. I've seen just as many SFA's break as IFS. At least with an IFS you can limp home and not have to worry about your axles sliding out.

When it gets down to it, the jeeps ( at least older ones) are more tough. Hummers good off road. They are so heave that they don't "hop" and lose grip that much. You just get city douches buying hummers and thinking they can conquer anything when they know nothing about driving anywhere except to the mall!

Yeah but the sad thing is is that Jeep is becoming the mall cruiser's also. I mean they have wrangler's in 2wd only model's. And they did away with the cheerokee Xj for the commander, a solid axle vehicle for IFS:( And when I go to the mall I'm seeing more and more jeep's with 22" rims other than H2's with honor roll sticker's, I've even seen off road competitions in mall parking lots where they bring the rocks to the parking lot. I mean whats the world coming to:)

hummers better wheeling machines than jeeps..PLEASE...The driver had no skills and needed a spotter. There was also no water in the bowl. cv-axels and independent suspension are for cars. I wonder how many broken frontends for the hummer clan even though they only took most of the easy routes. civilian (fake) hummers should only be used for the streets on rainy days. To this day no hummer has EVER WON an offroad event, yet Enter in one. Hummers suck offroad PERIOD.

nice driving :). I wish there were more guys out there to make these machines look as capable as they really are. Sad truth is most of them hang out at shopping malls and night clubs, with wheels and tires on them that were never even meant to drive off the pavement. I love hummers and I know what they're good for, I can't wait to get and H2 myself. I really like jeeps as well, but what's with the majority of their owners pissing and shitting all over hummers and how much better their jeeps are?

I won't rip on a H2. And I even own an 08' Ribicon 4dr. most of what you see in H2 vids is bad skills by the driver. In my opinion comparing a Rubicon and a hummer are like comparing apples and oranges. But then again, the Rubicon is a little more jeep than most people need. Good job driver. Need more H2 drivers with a little skill out there to get the hummer name back.

I own a H2 and you can't compare a stock jeep to a hummer. I'm not going to rip on jeeps because they can be made very capable, just as a H2 can be made much more comparable. I bought mine because I really like the looks/capability right off the showroom floor. The problem is that one too many H2 owners don't know how the hell to drive their vehicle off road which is why you see all these videos of them getting stuck. The right driver can get anywhere in anything.

The hummer is far more offroad capable than any stock jeep. The Jeepers talk about gas mileage, that might be a concern for people who own Jeeps, if you can afford a hummer, gas really does not matter. I own both and the hummer will out climb my Wrangler anyday. That hummer is stock, my motor sounds identical, he has it in 1st gear there ace.
