I served 1972-76 as a Navy Hospital Corpsman shore duty in California (San Diego, Monterey and Oakland), never seeing the high seas and world adventure as did Lloyd Brown, but I met many wonderful servicemen and women. My family roots in America go back to the early settlements and Revolutionary War.
