After just a few seconds you realise you are watching something by exploitative shitty Kiarostami. After filming and before airing it, was the passenger told that she was filmed and was her permission sought before airing this? How disgusting to put the private lives and inner feelings of someone on display for the world to see when she thought she was making a private conversation in confidence. You can see this in Makhmalbaf's and his family's films as well. Started with 'Hello Cinema'. Awful.
This is a directed film, the passenger knows that she is getting filmed, and everybody else do know also, the difference is that the players are amatures and the stories are real!
i dont understand what you are talking about, did you see the end of the movie, their names are at the ending credits, if they didn't know they would be in the movie, then how is that possible, did you watch the other segment of the dvd, he breaks down the who movie, and he mentions they they are non actors that he hired, so they are aware they are being film and they only saying what they want you to hear, in other words as they speak they are still maintaining privacy.
I believe love and understanding are two diverent things. But what I know as well is that it needs both to make it work. Now, for woman it's much more emotional then for men and thats a fact. But love makes the world go round :)
This is beautiful. The way she showed her sadness and pain in such a way is amazing. It really made me think of reasons as to why she would do that. I can understand though. She probly cut her hair off to release everything and get rid of old memories. Maybe to start over fresh and new. It must be such a releif for her.
omg i felt soo bad wen i saw her shaved head i was like omg cheto shod? that was such a bad way to show her anger and sadness but im just glad she got it out
Women everywhere face the same thing. It hurts so much when you love someone who doesn't want you, but it is their loss, be strong an dlove yourself! Women don't need men, they are loud and smelly and messy anyway. Get a pet, they love you forever!
So far this has been my favorite part of them all. It is very sad what this woman is going through. I can completely understand why she cut off her hair it is just a way, to show her pain in a way.
Wow!!! this video gave me emotional overload shivers when it was revealed she shaved her head..... Fantastic Lets have more please. PLUS CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE TO DOWNLOAD OR WATCH "GENERATION TEHRAN"?? Im dying to see it.
Help is on the way!!! however, I don't know where I could download this either. The name of this film is called TEN (2002)by director Abbas Kiarostami. This moving is divided into ten seguments like a chapter as you see in this film.each consists of conversation with son, sister, other women. This dvd is available on Netflix, or your local library dvd section.. I don't know about block buster though, some of these secgments are also on youtube but its scattered. I hope I was of some help.
Ya, she [the driver] makes a statement to her "change" in appearance with subtle implication of "sex-change" not in a literal sense but rather embracing her [passenger] new self after the breakup. Nice catch though, I totally missed the "sex-change" phrase as she is almost mumbling.
@norwegianstudent: "oon rafte va to taghire jadidi kardi nist?" Means: He (the boyfriend) is gone & u have changed anew. They were talking about her head-shave prior to this.
Very powerful indeed, it actually got me thinking, men dont care once they leave thats it they do not look back, perfect, loved it thank you very much for this.
"I'm ashamed of saying that it's hard!" That is my favorite part of this video. Persian women have very high expectations of themselves. I should know.
Thank you for sharing this video. This young woman is very strong. I am so glad to see these videos.
I also agree, they are very powerful and symoblic.
Liberation at last. Freedom seekers around the world should learn from the strength of this young woman. She has more GUTS than those MEN that are afraid of pen and women's hair. WELL DONE keep it up.
I got tears in my eyes when she was laughing and crying at the same time

She says he left and you`ve had a sex-change.
Listen carefully...
