In every appearance I've seen with McCarthy and Carrey, they say they want to roll back to the vaccine program to 1989 levels. In other words, NOT eliminate vaccines. But so many comments rant about how these people want to stop vaccines, and we'll all get polio and the Black Plague again, yadda. I think people only hear what they want to hear, and clearly a lot of people have already made up their minds that this couple is wrong, even if they have to put words in their mouths to justify it.
A comedian and an idiot-breeding-idiots ... right, what do we need doctors for anymore?
I wonder why no scientists have stormed the stage and said: "Jim, your attempt at comedy is lame, outdated, barely good enough to keep morons amused" ... well, perhaps the scientists figured it was nothing they knew about and had no business talking about comedy.
Next: bring up Miss South Carolina and let her have her say!
So your son has autism.....get over it. Not the end of the world. And NO, you didn't cure him with a change in diet.....or some other miracle cure. DUMB BLONDE.....lol
You can't cure him but things like change in diet can help certain behaviours. There is a lot of empirically based research done by credible scientists on autism. It angers me deeply that people listen to Jenny McCarthy who's only credibility lies in that fact that she has a child diagnosed (I may have read somewhere that her child is no longer diagnosed with autism but some sort of seizure disorder) with autism. Do I know everything about cancer because my child is diagnosed with it?
God, this woman is a nutcase. The ENTIRE autism/vaccine connection was based on a SINGLE study that we now know was flawed and poorly researched. I bet my life that Jenny has trouble deciphering about 70-80% of the terms, references and technical jargon in a peer reviewed study and yet ppl will listen to her, rather than the person who actually conducted the study.. Correlation does not mean causation. These celebrities really don't understand their own limitations.
One fact you can't ignore is the more vaccines on the schedule the higher the autism cases. Even an idiot can see that injecting KNOWN neurotoxins in to the bloodstream HAS to have some kind of effect on the brain and its functions. It's inevitable.
Yeah, but the vaccine/immunity for most viral infections, snake bites, etc is an injection of the very same toxin/virus (in a very limited dose). The immune system then creates a natural resistance to the disease/toxin. That's what the immune system does. Ppl can give my comment the thumbs down all they want but that doesn't change the fact that this entire theory is wrong. Ever see a child die from measles? not pretty. She doesn't even have a BA.I don't assume I'm a mechanic simply b/c i drive.
Also, which "neurotxin" are you referring to? Does it cross the blood/brain barrier? A "neurotoxin" is a non specific term but ppl like Jenny use it to sound informed and dramatic. Do you use deodorant and non stick cooking pans? Well, the aluminum that's in almost all deodorants and non stick frying pans is also "neurotixin"? However, the evidence that these products cause dementia is close to 0. Several yrs ago Jenny had an entire website devoted to the idea that her son was a "Indigo child"
Also, do you eat tuna? Because there is more mercury in a can of tuna. Does everyone who eats canned tuna have autism? There are multiple possible causes of autism.
Wow, so you didn't actually read past a headline of mainstream media did you?
Wakefields paper- ONE- did not say there was a link between Autism and vaccine. TWO- there were no flaws or poor research. It was his drawing blood at a child's birthday party- that led to the Lancet retracting his paper due to "Unethical practice".
Wakefield's paper found measles virus inside 70% of the children in his study's bowel and said "Well, we should look into this" and nothing more. Research before you spew.
@SPORESgirl I read his paper! I don't base my opinions off the media or youtube videos. I searched out the retracted paper and read it. I also read the retraction.
you guys are so stupid...if they were doing this for publicity you would hear....oh come watch my movie...or check out this site..... do some reasearch and find out some knowlage for your selfs.....then come back and make your smart comments
She probably means well but that doesn't mean that she is not doing harm. For example, remember when Tom Cruise said that post-partum depression didn't exist?
Asperger15... actually it is true, google Seizures and Autism... alot of kids with Autism have seizures.
I believe that genes load the gun and vaccines pull the trigger. I have two completely NOT VACCINATED that were dx with Aspergers/ASD. So no, I do not believe vaccines cause ASD. I do believe they make children who are born with genes for ASD more low functioning.
Please please please, talk to someone that has knowledge in the field before you decide to make these decisions. I don't know what your educational background is but the logic of your conclusions does not make any sense.
Of course its just a coincidence all this publicity for Jim and Jenny the antivaxxers is because both their careers are at a low at the moment.
Nah couldnt be.
To be serious though, autism is a serious condition and must be hard on parents whose child develops it. They will look around searching for anything to blame - big pharma!, government! the man in the moon!. They blame these things because the obvious is hard to accept - its a neurological condition.
Her child was innapropriately diagnosed with autism, and most likely had a seizure (a very rare side effect of having vaccinations). Her child is NOT cured of autism... Vaccinations DO NOT cause autism... We are wasting to much money continuing to research this because of idiotic celebrities that are now blaming it on "too many shots." It was first mercury, then MMR, now "to many shots..." These people have all sorts of stats, but zero knowledge of medicine.
Are you a FUcking IDIOT? , DO you read your own dumbass comments? Your SO fuking stupid its Mind Boggling. You have over 10,000 people coming forward and saying that IMMEDIATELY a day or two after the injection the seizures BEGAN!, you Stupid FUCK, its ignorant Stupid people like you that dis-inform everyone else, Do the research you dumbshit!, YOu know what, take that vaccine your self, no your rite its all good, so TAKE IT!!!,, n while your worthless ass has seizures youtube IT!!!!.. haha
Ancedotal claims. True, the timespan between autistic symptoms and vaccination does make you suspect that vaccines might cause autism. However, it has been disproven time and again. Besides, stop screaming profanity and people would take you more seriously. My great-grandfather was born in the 1900's and he wasn't vaccinated and my father was vaccinated and they both displayed autistic symptoms. I am more severe than either one of them.
Not it hasn't been disproven. And nobody said mercury in vaccines is the one and only cause of autism. Just that it contributes to the higher incidence of autism we have today.
who the hell is your informant dickhead! siesures are never asotiated with autism! it actually said on the video that the doctors are skeptical that Evan ever had autism, but oh no jennys mothering instincts are much better evidence than than a professionals oppinion
Epiliptic symptoms occure in 20-30% of autisitc individuals. However, Jenny said that he was diagnosed in only 5 minutes. In reality, it takes months or even years to officially diagnose. Either her doctor made a mistake or she's fabricating for publicity.
The diet didn't help Evan socially, it simply helped him with his digestive problems. Social development through therapy and social interaction are the extremely effective for so-called "autism recovery," You don't recover from autism, you simply live with it one day at a time.
"You don't recover from autism, you simply live with it one day at a time."
I disagree. My friend Sharon's son was severely autistic as a a result of vaccination, but has for all intents and purposes fully recovered as a result of detoxification and nutritional therapy.
In other words, snake oil treatments. I never had any large amount of heavy metal in my body yet I am autistic. The hypothesis that vaccines cause autism was made primarily because children displayed autistic traits weeks after vaccination. The same goes for your "alternative" treatments. The diet doesn't work, just like vaccines don't cause autism.
"I never had any large amount of heavy metal in my body yet I am autistic."
Vaccines, or mercury for that matter, are not the ONLY cause of autism. Mercury load from dental amalgam, even parents' mercury fillings, may also cause autism. There may also be other causes. No serious research is being carried out.
you know what, YOU DESERVE YOUR FUKING AUTISM, seriously,, either shut the fuck up or do your own research and stop listeing to the CORRUPT MEDIA, whosE over 60% OF adertising dollars come from DRUG companies, why the fuck do you think ABC, MSNBC and fox DONT tell the public that EVERY Vaccine is DANGEROUS,.I Suggest you take your retarded ass onto google, and research on Bushes Grandfather and Eli Lilly, and How the Flue " pandemic" really started, its called World De-population STupid!
Some people see a link between vaccinations and satanic rituals or witchcraft, where animals are sacrificed and their organs brewed in a hellish concoction of horrid substances: voodoo medicine by 21st century mad scientists. Sadly, our children are their unwilling subjects as society is slowly devoured by their insatiable appetite for human experimentation.
Umm...more shots...the number of kids with autism goes up. I'm not scientist or an advocate for autistic kids...or a damn mathematician, but that might warrant looking into.
Ms. McCarthy does not speak for the Autism Community, and the little boy who hangs onto me all day does not have intimacy issues. But he does have an ASD. Generalizations don't help anybody.
Increases in diagnosis does not equal increases in ASD's. The criteria has changed, and awareness has increased. Children previously diagnosed mentally retarded, schizophrenic, mute, or just called "odd" now have ASD dx's. The vaccine theory has been all but disproven.
Vaccines are unnecessary and ineffective, so why bother "greening" them? To keep shoveling money into the medical-pharmaceutical establshment's bank accounts?
There already is a green vaccine available: it's actually white in colour and free of charge; it's called breastmilk. When will people learn that health doesn't come out of a syringue?
A new landmark study from Dr. LauraHewittsonof the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine further substantiates a vaccine link to the autism epidemic. Dr.Hewitsonreported atIMFARthat monkeys given the same vaccine schedule of US children developed symptoms of autism.
yea yea yea hey do you think Jim Carrey is pussy whipped? Look at him, he's a total slave to her. He would agree with her if she argued that eating shit with help with autism!!!
What is your excuse? Ignorance or arrogance? When anti-vaxxers claim to have done research, they usually quote the same bullcrap internet sites and the same nutheads who spread this nonsense. Come on, surpise me.
Anti-vaxers tend to rely more on "alternative" treatments that are obviously snake oil treatments. "Give your diet nothing but water and brown seaweed and he or she will improve in three days. Three years later, no effect has taken place. The best option is to have speech therapy at a very early age, it worked for me.
Speech therapy in early childhood has the greatest effect of any treatment. Snake oil salesmen have buisnesses that thrive based on pseudo science when real science has a hard time explaining a certain phenommenon.
I think it's hilarious how afraid some of you people are of not being immunized. I'm 22 yrs old, never been immunized and I'm healthier than most of the people I know.
"I'm 22 yrs old, never been immunized and I'm healthier than most of the people I know."
Thats the funny thing about immunization. You have nothing to worry about as long as the majority around you goes through the trouble of immunizing themselves from things that could affect *you*. However, relying on others to do their part while I reap the benefits would keep me up at night. Just me..
While I am mature enough to see and understand your point and have myself said the same thing. It is not the reason WHY I don't immunize. While I believe that immunizations do impact people in a mostly negative way, the real REASON I choose not to immunize is because I put my faith in a higher power and not infallible people. I don't look down on any one for their decision to immunize and maybe you should try the same thing for someone who doesn't want to, whatever their reasons may be.
"the real REASON I choose not to immunize is because I put my faith in a higher power and not infallible people"
So God tells you its okay to convince others to put their children in harms way against all known evidence? I'm sorry but when it comes to children's basic health and survival I don't have much patience for accomodating their parents personal religious notions as evidence.
Im sorry I think I misunderstood, you dont immunize your children because, not because of the your safety concerns but because you think it shows a lack of trust in God?
I have to ask in all curiosity, when its cold out, do you dress them in winter coats? If they have a fever, do you give them aspirin?
If they are allergic to peanuts, do you still feed them peanut butter? How do you decide which medical interventions to follow and which to completely ignore to appease God?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
No, i don't give aspirin to my child when/if he has a fever, it's useless and will actually hinder recovery. Benign illnesses should be left alone and let immune system fight it.
Well youve selectively answered one of three questions, avoiding the point Im making entirely, which is that medical intervention prolongs life and extends its quality in general. My family came from a lush technology-free island in which people suffered horribly from toothaches, simple infections, and fevers, and often died young. This is in response to the comment: "the real REASON I choose not to immunize is because I put my faith in a higher power and not infallible people".
Asprin, when given to a child, can cause reye's syndrome- childrens tylenol and ibuprofen are better alternatives. Otherwise I agree with everything you've said.
Jenny McCarthy ran a site called "IndigoMoms" in which she clearly states her beliefs that her son is an evolved spiritual being with a purple aura brought to earth to save humanity. She includes forums with angel-talkers and exercises with crystals. She has *no* business giving her scientific opinion on *anything* much less important medical research. Celebrity life has not equipped her to cope with the harsh realities of life. Blaming "the man" when things don't work out is her reaction.
I think we need to look more into chlorine poisoning. People don't understand that the food industry adds chlorine to just about all its products!
Why would we put something thats used in chemical weapons and in pools,in our food? Why use a chemical that can cause hypo tension, collapse of blood vessels, necrosis and can cause acidic damage to all our organs?
I applaud Jenny for all her efforts. Dr. Jay Gordon, Jenny's pediatrician, has a great new DVD on the pros and cons on vaccinations called "Vaccinations? Assessing the Risks and Benefits". I found it very helpful before deciding to vaccinate my child. I support his efforts in raising awareness of this issue.
We then put her on a specific diet without wheat, spelt, eggs and dairy. She gets a lot of specific supplements such as vitamins, acidophilus and digestive enzymes ( I can highly recommend it!). She has gone from not being able to do ABCD ( that was all she could and she got incredibly frustrated then) to reading and writing in 3 months. She is 7.
You made me cry!!! Thank you for this, for informing and sharing your stories! I didn't vaccinate my daughter until we were forced to give her a double dose of tetanus and diphtheria ( they were sending the CPS home to us as she had a strange fall on a play ground, so I didn't argue). After that her behavior changed dramatically and she hated school. She had no trauma from the fall, months after the fall she kept doing worse intellectually. I had her tested and she had very strange toxins.
Thanks for posting this. My 4 1/2 year old is on the spectrum. Everything she's saying is 100% my experience....and very similar to what some of my friends have gone through. Hopefully the medical community will start to listen now that a high profile person is behind this movement.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Luckily the medical community doesnt rely on personal bias or celebrity status. Instead they rely on boring things like evidence and objective scientific studies. These celebs have no idea how much their arrogance hurts children and those around them when the go without immunization.
"Isn't it crazy how science gets discounted??? Very sad."
Not really. Vaccination is only backed by pseudo-science and pseudo-scientists. Vaccination, being an organised criminal enterprise along the lines of a protection racket, is actually completely unscientific.
Ironic that someone who believes that diets and many quack treatments that have almost nothing but pseudo-science would believe that a medicine that cured polio due to scientific research is pseudo-science.
"medicine that cured polio due to scientific research"
Right. They didn't even realise that the polio vaccine was contaminated with dozens of monkey viruses from thousands of monkesy they killed for their kidneys they grew the polio virus for the vaccine on. One of the viruses, SV-40, produced tumours in test animals and is now found in cancers and brain tumours. Hmmm...
Just because it's the same virus does not mean that it was from a vaccine. My brother and I were vaccinated when we were both 2 years old with the same vaccines. I was the one who was diagnosed with autism. My dad had a few similiar traits, but that is not enough to diagnose him with ASD.
"Just because it's the same virus does not mean that it was from a vaccine"
Originally, it came from the monkeys' kidneys used for vaccine production. It is now also found in unvaccinated children of parents who were given the contaminated polio vaccine, meaning that the monkey virus is transmitted from parents to children.
Not quite, my grandparents were vaccinated for polio and we have no tumors or cancers. My grandmother, father, and brother are probably going to die of cancer due to their use of tobacco products.
Can somebody dickslap this media corporate winch diane sawyer?

"anti-vaxxers claim to have done research, they usually quote the same bullcrap internet sites and the same nutheads who spread this nonsense."
I think this statement applies to
vaxxers much more than anti-vaxxers.

Anti-vaxers tend to rely more on "alternative" treatments that are obviously snake oil treatments. "Give your diet nothing but water and brown seaweed and he or she will improve in three days. Three years later, no effect has taken place. The best option is to have speech therapy at a very early age, it worked for me.
aspie101 2 years ago
"it worked for me"
Whatever helps is good for you, whether it is speech therapy or seaweed. The only thing that's universally harmful are vaccines.
vaccineshurtbabies 2 years ago
Speech therapy in early childhood has the greatest effect of any treatment. Snake oil salesmen have buisnesses that thrive based on pseudo science when real science has a hard time explaining a certain phenommenon.

In addition to Autism, ADD/ADHD are also vaccine injury.I've got significantly better with biomedical intervention.

Just me..
rbairos1 3 years ago 4

I'm sorry but when it comes to children's basic health and survival I don't have much patience for accomodating their parents personal religious notions as evidence.
rbairos1 3 years ago 3
Im sorry I think I misunderstood, you dont immunize your children because, not because of the your safety concerns but because you think it shows a lack of trust in God?
I have to ask in all curiosity, when its cold out, do you dress them in winter coats? If they have a fever, do you give them aspirin?
If they are allergic to peanuts, do you still feed them peanut butter? How do you decide which medical interventions to follow and which to completely ignore to appease God?

No, i don't give aspirin to my child when/if he has a fever, it's useless and will actually hinder recovery. Benign illnesses should be left alone and let immune system fight it.
katkovsky 3 years ago
Well youve selectively answered one of three questions, avoiding the point Im making entirely, which is that medical intervention prolongs life and extends its quality in general. My family came from a lush technology-free island in which people suffered horribly from toothaches, simple infections, and fevers, and often died young. This is in response to the comment: "the real REASON I choose not to immunize is because I put my faith in a higher power and not infallible people".
Hogwash.

Asprin, when given to a child, can cause reye's syndrome- childrens tylenol and ibuprofen are better alternatives. Otherwise I agree with everything you've said.
NicolaMonk 3 years ago
Agreed! Also, choosing not to immunize your child puts others who cannot be vaccinated in danger of contracting something like measles or polio.

Get the junk out of our food!

There is no "anti-freeze" in vaccines. I can't believe our news media is falling for this tripe.

Toxins like formaldehyde?

Why do you have the arrogance to assume a massive conspiracy of thousands of researchers injecting kids with poison just to make a quick buck?

Exactly, Many vaccines are harmful...
Such as flu vaccine.

Thanks for posting this. My 4 1/2 year old is on the spectrum. Everything she's saying is 100% my experience....and very similar to what some of my friends have gone through. Hopefully the medical community will start to listen now that a high profile person is behind this movement.

Luckily the medical community doesnt rely on personal bias or celebrity status. Instead they rely on boring things like evidence and objective scientific studies. These celebs have no idea how much their arrogance hurts children and those around them when the go without immunization.

Isn't it crazy how science gets discounted??? Very sad.
NicolaMonk 3 years ago
"Isn't it crazy how science gets discounted??? Very sad."
Not really. Vaccination is only backed by pseudo-science and pseudo-scientists. Vaccination, being an organised criminal enterprise along the lines of a protection racket, is actually completely unscientific.

Ironic that someone who believes that diets and many quack treatments that have almost nothing but pseudo-science would believe that a medicine that cured polio due to scientific research is pseudo-science.
aspie101 2 years ago
"medicine that cured polio due to scientific research"
Right. They didn't even realise that the polio vaccine was contaminated with dozens of monkey viruses from thousands of monkesy they killed for their kidneys they grew the polio virus for the vaccine on. One of the viruses, SV-40, produced tumours in test animals and is now found in cancers and brain tumours. Hmmm...
vaccineshurtbabies 2 years ago
Just because it's the same virus does not mean that it was from a vaccine. My brother and I were vaccinated when we were both 2 years old with the same vaccines. I was the one who was diagnosed with autism. My dad had a few similiar traits, but that is not enough to diagnose him with ASD.
aspie101 2 years ago
"Just because it's the same virus does not mean that it was from a vaccine"
Originally, it came from the monkeys' kidneys used for vaccine production. It is now also found in unvaccinated children of parents who were given the contaminated polio vaccine, meaning that the monkey virus is transmitted from parents to children.
vaccineshurtbabies 2 years ago
Not quite, my grandparents were vaccinated for polio and we have no tumors or cancers. My grandmother, father, and brother are probably going to die of cancer due to their use of tobacco products.
aspie101 2 years ago
"my grandparents were vaccinated for polio and we have no tumors "
Obviously not everyone gets tmours or cancers. It depends on other factors as well, but SV-40 may act as a trigger.
