  • Yup, they killed him with his own sword, Ice.

  • You know nothing, yankylove22.

  • i love jon snow!!!

  • True, Ned Stark was the hand but he didn't want the job. He only took it because Robert basically made him. If Ned was after power he would have gladly taken the offer to become one of the only two men in the world to be able to sit on the iron throne.

  • Ned Stark used to bee hand of the king but then he took an Axe throug the neck

  • @blobdad i think it was a sword...xD

  • Almost every character is after power. Not Ned though. Of course look where that got him.

  • What I love about the books is the fact that George R.R. Martin isn't afraid to show the characters' flaws. No one is innocent, everyone wants power, and everyone can die. That's the only way to keep the story going, in an interesting and realistic way.

  • I thought Apirl was next month. My heart is crushed.

  • @saarrheid01 We will all be thinking april is next month and getting our hearts crushed untill april XD

  • Words cannot describe just how much I love A Song of Ice and Fire and Game of Thrones.

  • the midget is so awsome!

  • 5:19 I don't f*cked in tournaments, it's just when i f*cked a man for real O_o'???

    xD Just kidding, great series!

  • I want my memory erased so the twists won't be ruined for me

  • I am in love with this series. The next J.R.R Tolkien my ass! George R.R. Martin is in a class of his own. I <3 Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryan my two favorite characters!

  • @TheBestseller1 my faves are eddard stark, king robert, jon snow and the dwarf

  • @TheBestseller1 Well i think the reason they call him that is because there really can be no better compliment to a fantasy author. Tolkien pretty much invented the genre as we know it.

  • @barscus True. And Tolkien remains truly brilliant however, I HATE the comparisons which are inevitable so I don't get so worked up on them. I believe Martin is absolutely rugged, original, and classic in this work he's created. Gritty and power lust are two words that don't play in the same appeal as Middle Earth so why compare at all even in honors? I like "A Redefining Classic. George has created the Gritty Fantasy Genre" better than "The American Tolkien" My opinion.

  • @TheBestseller1 I haven't actually read the "Song of Ice and Fire" books, but based on the series i see your point:) I guess it's just a matter of taste and opinion, as you said.

  • @barscus Exactly. Thanks for not arguing. But that's all we have. Perspective/Taste. Perspective is our unique telescope that allows us to see into the sweet heavens called books.

  • I. HATE. THE. LENNISTERS.

  • @kaiofreis i hate people that misspell things ; )

  • Viserys! CROWN FOR THE KING! very satisfying death :)

  • Jon Snow ur a bastard.

  • Sean Bean the hitcher!

  • Just something i've been wondering about. The guy that plays jamie lannister, is that the same guy that played the douche in LOST? I'm not good at names of actors:)

  • dow the videobb and videozer. OMG!

  • Kit Harrington *is* the perfect Jon Snow. Dark, broody, honourable. And bloody handsome!

  • SEAN BEAN! The legend of this show

  • I love how even though Ned Stark dies at the end of the very first novel, he somehow still remains one of the central characters in the stories, because so much of the empathy we feel for the Starks is sourced from our love for him.

  • @jennyzhinuo :i agree with u and i'm a Starks' team......

  • U kno why? Because black people don´t live in those kingdoms!

If they would...they would be in it.

  • @tedyunderground They will be in season 2, when they start going to the free cities across the narrow sea

  • I have it bad for Emilia Clarke

  • Sean Bean had one thing right. Ned Stark was very dense.

  • Quit hatin' on the Lannisters. They're the reason why the story is soo good.

  • @nikkijaneallison agreed. Every story needs a villain and they are just as important as the heroes

  • Emilia Clarke is my favourite (:

  • You succeed again creating one more series that blows our minds and inspire us to create and go further.

Thank you, thank you very much.

    Michael Endara

    Ecuatorian Filmaker

  • awesome show. love it! loved the books!

  • Peter Dinklage, love him! :)

  • REVIVE Ned Stark!! Thumps up!

  • @milad002 thump up!

  • and dangerous mrrrr....

  • Lena Headey is soooo HOT

  • Emilia Clarke is HOT

  • Sean Bean had to sit through his interview because his balls are too heavy..

  • Best quote ever "id like to die with a belly full of whine and a whores mouth around my cock" Tyrion Lanister

  • What's annoying about Drogo & Dany's "uncomfortable rape scene" is that he doesn't actually rape her in the book. Why they added that in...who knows.

  • Sean Bean is such an awesome actor

  • Petyr Baelish was perfectly cast

  • I love these series and this story cause everything seems so real and natural - nudity, violence, intrigues, death.

I cannot watch those artificial American TV series about vampires, werewolves and witches in high school. o.O

  • @LadyMargoth Game of Thrones kicks ass. I assume you're talking about the vampire diaries and/or the secret circle.. But i hope you're not dissing Supernatural. Cause that show is underrated and totally misread by people who don't watch the show. It's an awesome experience to sit down and watch a couple of episodes a week haha :) But Game of thrones has elements of demonic beings and monsters. It's just the same but better :D and uncut.

  • @MyNameIsErr There's nothing bad about demons and witches, and vampires. It's the way how they are manifested in those TV series. Usualy in an idiotic way. What are immortal beings doing in high school when they are supposed to be unnaturaly clever and experienced in every field. And unearthly in their emotions. Like our grandgrandgrandfathers (if they were still alive). ^^

Supernatural is very nice. I watched 4 seasons. Three of them were great.

  • @LadyMargoth I totally see your point. I was just fascinated by The Vampire Diaries approach to vampires and werewolfs' origins that they portray. Most vampire movies/shows hint at or blatantly say that dracula was the first vampire. In TVD they tell you how they were created. But I have to say I do miss REAL vampire stories. Where they are shown as pure evil beings. The remake of Fright Night did a great job of that haha. Colin Farrel was funny at times but nonetheless evil.

  • @LadyMargoth true blood. nuf sain

  • @LadyMargoth I agree, but you do realize that this is produced by an American company?

  • @Ravenclawing of course I know it. The fact that Americans make many crap series and films doesn't mean that there aren't diamonds among them. ^^

  • worst mistake that they made was killing off sean bean's character. Even though it was part of the storyline, just retarded to take the best actor and cut him out.

  • @mattattack1986 lmao that makes no fucking sense. it's retarded eventhough it's part of the storyline? damn people here are stupid.

  • @mattattack1986 That's what makes series really good! Unexpected deaths and no lead characters. You cannot predict what happens next (of course unless you've read the books). Everyone can die.

  • @mattattack1986 It was a pretty haunting death and I can understand if younger viewers were dismayed at it. But everything in the season was building up to it and ended his character arc brilliantly.

  • Of course it wasn't a mistake. Duh... The show needs to be accurate with the books.

  • that chick has awesome tits

  • Anyone else who think that George R.R. Martin is such a adorable man. He is so cut. He just looks like a really kind and sweet old man :)

  • jaime lannister has a face that i would punch for no reason. He looks so punchable

  • @superbrainification Its that smug look. I can imagine that some people would like to smack the smug right off of him....lol

  • @superbrainification dude he'd fucking kill you and then rape you in the ass

  • @911globetrotter nope. But tyrion lannister will fuck jaime in the ass.

  • @superbrainification

Tyrion is the only lannister I wouldn't punch in his face

  • @Twestination What about Tomnen and Myrcella?

  • @superbrainification true, he reminds me of the prince in shrek 2. :D

  • @superbrainification I'd much rather punch Cersei in her face. At least Jaimie isn't bat shit insane.

  • @superbrainification That's a good sign. The actor is supposed to make you feel that way.

  • @superbrainification as well for joffrey XD

  • @superbrainification He has a face i would sit on. He is hot.

  • @superbrainification joffrey is more punchable! lot more !!!! i hate his face lol

  • @epielrizos Ahahaha yeah it's true! I wanna punch to Joffrey, is horrible, a little fuckin "king".

  • @superbrainification just wait till season 3 and 4, you'll come to love him

  • @superbrainification Because you look like a butt in comparison?

  • @superbrainification I know that type of face. My friend has one, but we are friends so we never hit eachother. I'm just kidding, I don't have friends.

  • @LordVili haha.. i don't have friends too.

  • @superbrainification Yea, Jaime is a dick in the first book, then he disappears in the second book, then return in the third book as one of the fan favorites. Go figure.

  • @puenboy1 i was talking about his face.

  • @superbrainification

    This made my day xDDD

  • @superbrainification The charactere yes. Not the actor himself I hope!

  • @superbrainification is it just me or does he look lilke Prince Charming from Shrek? He was punchable too... :)

  • is prince charming in shrek inspired by nikolaj coster waldau ? they just look the same

  • @lavennovell that's why he looked very familiar, lol! nice one!

  • Sean Bean died in so many series it's almost an expected thing from now on. Dies as Boromir , Dies in Black Death , Dies as Ned Stark.... oh Sean Bean you.

  • @Rostas you forgot 007 "goldeneye"

  • The only qualm I have with the show is how little of the books they can fit on the screen. Nobody who watches it is going to know about the conflicts between pettier Houses like Bracken and Blackwood.

  • I really wonder how tyrion is going to look it season three

  • Why are there always midgets in a fantasy series?

  • @blankfaceable 'cause they're doesn't exists in real life.

  • Peter Dinklage

  • Sean Bean makes these film so much better hes an amazing actor!

  • Wow great series. I really got into it and I can't wait for season 2

  • I got a bit of nostalgia when I saw Joe Dempsie in this.

  • after seeing this i really can't wait till 2012 for season 2.. :S why so long :(

  • @ownage300 fill the time by watching dexter. True Blood is going down hill, but still makes good filler.

  • Well not all the characters are convoluted, Ned Stark is consistently honorable, and that's being realistic too, even in those circumstances there are people like him.

  • George rr Martin is 63, he could very well finish the series, or he could not, just be thankful for what he has already given everyone.

  • @IAmTheWilford Well, in my honest opinion, his two last books sucked. Maybe it was becuase the third one had such a teriffic ending, maybe because books one-three were so teriffic, but still, book 4 and 5 kind of lacked the whole action, I mean there is basicly nothing I could spoil...

Maybe the next book will be better, and definitly Season 2 and 3 of the tv show will be awesome.

  • Eddard stark is the centre of the story... LOLWUT?

  • @EnterTheFlea

He is the center of Game of Thrones, not so in the sequels.

I agree the Game of Thrones centers about Ned, the only normal guy amongst a bunch of psychos, and his struggle in a fucked up and unfamiliar world.

  • @EnterTheFlea His death among other causes was the beginning of a war among Lannisters and Starks let alone the other houses that followed.

  • @EnterTheFlea He is the center of "Game of Thrones" which is the 1st book/1st TV season. The book series (5 so far) is called "A song of Ice and fire" and, as you know, he dies in the 1st so he's not the center of the following books/seasons...

  • Peter is definately my fav character

  • please George R.R. Martin live enough to finish the last two books!

  • @luvboz that is probably my only concern in this life; worrying if GRRM will live long enough to finish the last 2 books

  • wow ive sat exactly where Jaime is sitting. so cool its being filmed here.

  • Robert Baratheon looks like George R.R. Martin!! :O

  • Good god the casting for the series was so perfect. If they adapt a Clash of KIngs. (And with how popular and acclaimed the Game of Thrones became I don't doubt that they will) I hope the existing cast return and the new characters introduced are cast as well as all the characters were in Game of Thrones. I've now started reading speech of characters with their actor's voices. I have never done that before and I read Game of Thrones not long before the series began.

  • @Akataras13 After the season permiere had just been aired GRRM and the producers were asked to begin adapting the second season =]

  • surprised over how attractive harry Lloyd was/is, behind the scenes

  • There needs to be a spinoff of what happens to Drogo, Ned and Rob in the afterlife.

  • i haven't read the books yet but i got a feeling that the casting is simply perfect

  • Reading Game of Thrones now, and I can't wait to get to the books that come after it. I have no idea what's coming next, but I'm sure it's gonna be one epic journey.

  • Wow! To think that all of this is a result of ONE man's imagination is as epic as the series! Thank you creators! :) P.S. Joffrey, screw you bitch! :P

  • there is other books, really good too, about royal bastard, wolf, magic, weird beast etc... in a fantasy medieval world as well called the farseer trilogy, that starts with The assassin's apprentice, If you like game of thrones you gonna love this one too.

  • @yera214 yep read those books couldnt put them down just like i couldnt put the song of ice and fire books so far down

  • That is the time of fear, my lord!

Maybe only if you watch the german translation of this epic drama. The original is outstanding as you can see.

  • god I love this old lady's voice and accent in the end - its just goosebumpy!

  • best heroic fantasy show ever !!

  • wheres the dwarfs, elves and unicorns? minotaurs? wizards? lizards?

  • Is that Aaron Eckhart at 1:17?

  • @ 0:20 SLAP! i like that part lol. Jofferey deserves it.

  • read the fucking books while you wait for season 2.. ffs.

  • @Mursilia No.... Then I would get spoiled. ^^

  • So right about reading the books- I am already addicted, and I plan to support my habbit as much as possible! This is one of the absolute best things HBO has ever done, and I am so grateful that they are doing this series with love, care, and the best damn cast I have ever seen! I hope they do all the books, and keep this series on for years to come! Long Live Game Of Thrones!!!

  • sean bean ur a legend!always own your role no matter what film you do.....

an hey 3:19 is that chris from skins series 1, if so awesome he was a ledge..if not then thts his twin;D

  • @JohNNyBcOoL17 that is Chris! I looked it up on imdb. kudos for spotting that...I would have never. This show is so amazing.

  • @dangelo8281 agreed jus got the books in on book 3 now woo, an chrissyboys character has a decent role in the 2nd back so im chuffed, an cheers for confirming its em:D

  • Fucking Harry Potter, that for children! This is the real shit!

  • @theDECENTswe YES ITS REAL...AND MY HORSE IS STILL WAITING FOR HIS TURN...THAT HER BROTHER PROMISED

  • ITS HARRY POTTER PHASE ALL OVER AGAIN

  • HBO IS THE SHIT AND DRAGONS ARE THE SHIT!

  • Jamie fucking looks like Shrek's Prince Charming.

  • @lpycb42 Thats it! I knew I've seen him somewhere else lol

  • @lpycb42 Thats what i fuckn thought HAHAHAHA

  • @lpycb42 YES YES YES!!!! HAHAHAHAAH

  • @lpycb42 HAHAHHAAH U NOTICED THAT TOO?? XD when i saw this for the first time I could0ve sworn he actually was Prince Charming xD

  • @lpycb42

That's who he looks like!! That's been bothering me that he looked familiar but I couldn't place it.

  • @lpycb42 That's what I thought when I first saw him !!

  • @lpycb42 Thats kinda the point of his character...

  • @defrost34 I doubt the point of his character is to look exactly like some cartoon's character.

  • @lpycb42 Well your kinda misinterpreting my meaning. Jaime Lannister is supposed to look like "Prince Charming" if you read the books you would know of brans first impression of him as being, what a knight should look like. The character in the Shrek films is done similar in the fact that he looks like the perfect "Knight In Shining Armor" when in reality it is a very different story.

  • @defrost34 you´re right, but it was Jon Snow who thought this

  • @defrost34 I think you misinterpreted my post too. I'm being literal. Like they literally look like twins. I don't know if the perfect knight in shining armor is supposed to be blond, with perfectly coiffed hair and certain facial features. But my point is that it seems as if Shrek's Prince Charming was based on the actor who plays Jamie.

  • @lpycb42 Yeah I kinda went off topic.

  • @defrost34 I recall his hair was much longer though; in the show every male gets a lame 'contemporary' haircut.

  • @lpycb42 He TOTALLY does!

  • @lpycb42 he talks like him too! LOL!!!

  • It's like seeing a movie with Chuck Norris and Chuck Norris dies.

  • @nikos80pella that's because it's based on a book. No Hollywood screenwriter would do such a thing. And that's why it's brilliant.

  • Ok the blond kid that gets slapped was on Batman Begins.

  • Season 2 is going to come next year in april? You mad? /facepalm

  • I am so enjoying watching the series as I read the books. I can't wait to see Season two. It brings the characters in the book to visual. The actors are awesome! These are challenging roles and they are absolutely up to the task! Kudos HBO!

  • "Ned Stark is the center of the series." Oh Martin, you troll.

  • @muppetnut he trolled us good.

  • Credits to the art department for this impressive work.
