Why do you think that COLLEGIUM COSMICUM AD BUXEAS is the preeminent international organization for the sport of bocce? Can you prove that by looking anywhere else than the COLLEGIUM COSMICUM AD BUXEAS website?
Take another look at that previous reply of mine - when I wrote that the organization was the preeminent organization for bocce, I enclosed that statement in quotation marks. That indicates that the statement is a quote from their website and that the claim is to be taken with a grain of salt (in other words, it should not be taken seriously). Hope this clears things up for you.
@boccevolo By the way, the claim that bocce originated in Egypt can be found at multiple independent websites. For example, one site says that "The egyptians are credited for the origin of the sport. Instead of the fancy modern balls that we use today, the Egyptians used polished stones. A painting dated back to 5200 B.C. was discovered in an Egyptian tomb depicting this primitive game in action." That's kind of interesting, I think...

With respect to the comment that Bocce was played by the Romans not the Egyptians - actually, according to the COLLEGIUM COSMICUM AD BUXEAS, the "preeminent international organization for the sport of bocce", the Egyptians, as early as 5000 B.C., played a form of Bocce with polished rocks!
thats not even bocce you're playing. it's not played on grass with petanque balls. look at some of the Pianetabocce and boccevolo videos to see what bocce is....
Of course it's not 'real' tournament bocce. That's obvious, isn't it? But most people don't play on official bocce courts; instead they improvise, playing it in their own backyards, on grass, around obstacles like trees and porches, etc. And we were making fun, hyping it up the way a lot of 'real' American sports are hyped, such as football or basketball.
"Bocce Ball in America" is a good title because it is a fun loving look at the way many people play the game in America. Saying it makes USA competitors look bad is like saying touch football players make NFL players look bad. The video is a parody of the "NFL Films" genre applied to backyard Bocce, not a commentary on international competitions. Look at the other comments -- it looks as if the video's effect has mostly been to make viewers want to play, which is a good thing, isn't it?

@jmxledoux If you couldn't care less then why did you quote that in a previous reply? You used their information to justify some of your claims.

then you should not say "bocce ball in america" because it makes those who represent the USA in international competition look bad.
