  • From the start to 0:47, that's Italian-American amateur stuntman John Ciampa. The footage is from a Paramount newsreel shot in 1942, when Ciampa was 21 years old. Ciampa's childhood heroes were Tarzan, Errol Flynn and Douglas Fairbanks, Snr. and Ciampa became known as the "Brooklyn Tarzan". He worked in construction but occasionally made extra money doing publicity stunts.

The train jumper is German stuntman Armin Dahl.

  • That is simply amazing. I did not have a clue what he was doing when he just ran and dived off that train, crazy!

When he was climbing with the Kid on his back I kept thinking "How are they going to get down?" - I bet that kid is still up there, rofl.

  • Gizmo is a documentary full of weird inventions and people performing some amazing physical feats/stunts. This clip is the only Parkour-like action in the documentary, though.
