    hahahaha.

  • Thanks for uploading this! We are fans from New Zealand and we hardly get to watch these and seeing MJ and his speech was very moving and heart felt may he live on to inspire us all.

  • mj's cockiness is what separates the winners and losers not just in basketball, but in life.

  • will yall stfu

  • Hes speech lasted 23 min awesome!

  • Look at Jerry Sloan's face at 30. He knows Bryon made a big mistake! :-)

  • What did Jordan tell from #t=00m26s? Thank

  • play at 50 doesnt matter just come back and play the game of basketball! COME BACK MICHEAL JORDAN!

  • r.i.p. jordan

    you will be missed

  • at the end of the day..his speech..he is just the mj who is just true to the game..he touched on how he touched the lives of millions and im honored and happy im one of the millions!!

  • limits, like fears, are often just an illusion

  • just a legend, there is no other way of desribing jordan as just legendary, that's it, legend. full stop. period. end of. THE greatest of all time there ever was or will be

  • did he mention Phil Jackson?

  • @emmanopg yea he did on the second one

  • NEVER SAY NEVER

  • just a pure legend

  • what a legend

  • Thats a shiny head! lol

  • Never say Never don't lol it will come I got that a lot at college people lol how I was tallest in team but couldn't dunk I lost ability to shoot 3pointers n 2 pointers but I will never give up coz Jordan is my inspiration an I will show people my talent one day long life Jordan

  • nothing on teammates ,not a word for Pip..that's harsh !

  • @TheKasabot He mentioned Pip in part 1 as soon as he got up

  • @TheKasabot This is the 3rd part check 1 and 2

  • @JMichaelShipman Damn i'm dumb. Thank You guys !

  • @TheKasabot Haha no problem

  • i clapped at the end of the video lol

  • i got a little choked up at the end

  • I don't get why the media were so hard on him after this speech. He's thanking everyone that lit a fire in him and pushed him to be the greatest. When he gave this speech, the media made it seem like he told them all to fuck off because he's the best there ever was. Yes, his confidence came out when he thanked many of them, but that's expected and it was way more humorous than hurtful.

  • I cried at the end of the video.

  • @Skaterrob15 i was crying too

  • Jordan should start as a coach!

  • i clapped at the end of the video

  • I believe he is coming back at age 50!

  • @loy829 I would pay anything to see guy one more kicking some ass...

  • One of the best speeches i've ever heard. It was so great i watched it twice.

  • great speech... mj mentioned everybody that motivated him all throughout his career...

  • great speech from the greatest basketball player of all time.............not just the nba, his airness is simply the greatest b-ball player ever to live.

  • Michael Jordan -

  • media = FAGGOTS

    MJ = G.O.A.T.

  • Limits, like fears, are often just an illusion - Michael Jordan

  • I didn't think it was controversial he was just joking around with everyone and was finding humor in his thoughts as a basketball player

  • 6 people got cut off the varsity team cuz of jordan

  • it's alright if he was just venting! He might've taken a different avenue to do so, but he had that shit pent up in for a while! GO HEELS!!!!

  • This speech was not offensive at all to me. It was actually quite good.

  • I think what many people don't understand is that 'basketball' is not the end-all-be-all to him.

He's actually VERY humble (if listen between the lines) in that he justifies all his success to countless OTHERS who unwittingly MOTIVATED him - an already DRIVEN personality.

He even starts of his implying there is no reason for him to have been so much taller than his brothers.

He implies that he believes himself 'blessed'. Is it not obvious that he was?

Do you think he's not aware of it?!? He is.

  • @ricochetrob:

That's weak. MJ is a prick, always was a prick, always will be a prick. He's also the greatest player to ever play the game of basketball. He's kind of like the Ty Cobb of basketball. Everyone respects the hell out of his talent and game, everyone also fears and loathes him off the court. I bet if MJ was a poor Southern cracker at the turn of the 20th century like Cobb he would've also been just as racist. He has an ugly heart.

  • @zyxwut321 It's lonely at the top. Being the most competitive person in the room often comes off as a negative, but I'd rather surround myself with 'fighters' like him than 'opportunists' like the rest of us. Perhaps he is a jerk (IDK, I don't know him), but at least he doesn't shine a light on himself. I'll take MJ as a role model over a million others.

  • Limits, like Fears, are often just an Illusion.

    Good line!

I liked his speech fine, and that writer (what's his name -owski), you REALLY missed the point.

An original speech, that makes me think, and I won't forget.

  • what's controversial about this is the fact that instead of being humble he opted to be arrogant in his delivery. of course, in the basketball people know it's michael being michael. but it is in poor taste to some extent. but what can you do, he's the GOAT and nothing can change that fact even if in real life he can be a dick.

(ex. name dropping people who didn't believe in him, slighting several people like jerry krause and byron russell.)

  • @leepipesateneo Hes the the best he could say w/e he wants.

  • @rusty111fire yeah, i understand. but there is a thing called humility. what he is doing right now is gloating, which is in poor taste. people who win at events tend to do this, but there are those who are humble enough to just accept victory. but it's michael being michael. no hate, just lost some respect.

  • And Jordan hit the game winner in Russells face in game 1 of the 97 Finals.I bet you after that game Russell questioned y he said he could guard Jordan.

  • "limits like fears are often just an illusion" M.J

  • limits like fears are often just an illusion...gospel truth, a poet on and off the court

  • it's also as if everyone told him he would never be the best . . . never say never cause limits like fears are often just an illusion . . .

  • "Limits like fears are often just an illusion"

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH MJ COMING BACK AT 50 HELL YEAH I"LL WAIT FOR THAT!!!!

  • @rusty111fire LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • russel hahaha

  • i dont hate mj, but in a nutshell this speech is "im so hypercompetitive i wont let you win a game of rock paper scissors"

  • @TheCrimsonscorpio agreed

  • Comment removed

  • why are people offended by this?

  • what does the guy say when he screamed and mj said i apreciatte it thank u very much

  • @Naveed123abc "You're the greatest ever michael!"

  • Retired and still given all of us new lessons.

  • Love every word. Jordan forever.

  • MJ could have talked for a day and 23 min. they would have still listened to him, because he is the greatest!

  • I didn't hear anything controversial about this speech...people are always trying to make something out of nothing smh

  • The best that ever was. The best that ever will be.

  • "If I ever see you in a pair of shorts,....." Remember this John? lmao

  • "Media is trying to bash MJ!" STHU MJ is the GOAT but please don't whine like media has ever bashed MJ they have helped build this guy to a level that is so untouchable that it's blasphemous to say anything bad ab him.i'm curious to how many of u on here actually has recordings of MJ and watched him play I have VHS's of the guy I know he's greatness personified but he's far from perfect...and his speech reeks of F all of y'all..he's still the man but u ppl got MJ cock in ur mouth :-/

  • When you play the game at the level that Michael Jordan played you can say what ever you want to who ever you want. And if there is any truth to whatever he said is a heavy bourdon on his kids if they ever play the game.

  • He was the WORST thing for kids that wanted to play basketball. "be like mike" Killed a lot of Kids dreams who thought they actually could. His god given talent is 1 and a billions.

  • @Jmndmb32 hey, those kids didn't make it, but he inspired them to love the game as much as they do/did

  • jel rekal na kraju i to je to???

  • bringing back bad memories for John Stockton...

  • this was a fantastic speech, fuck the haters. u gotta understand that this speech was an honest reflection of what made mike so great. he took all criticism, all oppurtunities for motivation, and used them to become the best player ever. till the day mike dies, he'll never forget. ppl saw this as angry, i see this as honest, refreshing, and a perfect end to an incredible legacy

  • @koalalauncher I think people understand things based on how they feel inside themselves. People are angry and arrogant...so of course they're gonna see anger and arrogance in such an honest speech. It's sad.

  • Never say never, because limits like fears are just an illusion...

    thats beautiful

  • You call it controversy. I call it the best damn hall of fame speech ever!

  • at 2:57 .. thats where justin beiber got his song . :)

  • Hate all you want but there will never be another Jordan for those out there who are too young to remember the 90's HE WAS THE NBA and he made it what it is today. As great as Kobe was this last decade, and as good as Lebron thinks he is, they don't even come close to what Jordan was. Get that into your heads already. We should thank Jordan not the other way around.

  • Ok for everyone who says that he was in bad taste, please tell me exactly what he owes any of them. Jordan was thankful because they gave him the motivation to succeed so why would he thank them without mentioning what they did? The fact so many paid attention to this speech is proof of just how great he is.

  • it takes a certain fire and desire to get to the level he got and all the guys he mentioned played a part in that and he recognized them and told them what they did to fuel his fire.

  • other than his comments about jerry krause, what was so bad or contraversial about this speech? he talked about all the things that motivated him to be the greatest basketball player to ever play the game. he wasnt bashing anyone, he was thanking them for giving him the fuel to become the greatest. he needed those people to get to the level he did.

  • yo did this nigga jus complain bout the price LOL

  • Comment removed

  • Real ass nigga . The end ?

  • God damn I never knew he was this badass.

  • he has true love for the game!

  • What's so controversial about this? Fuckin' media still trying to find ways to bash MJ. You can't criticize the greatest.

  • @Marcus201180 thank you

  • @Marcus201180 he is to arrogant you fuck that's what media say it is controversial speech he speaks thing he should not speaks to ? You dumb fuck try to understand that asole

  • @ginusha you make zero sense and your name is weird

  • @badabing107 my name is Weird ????? so is your name My point is Jordan don't want to Insult a Person who he don't like to Managers and for the Players and for the Directors of Respected Franchise

Remember this Reggie miller says '' Micheal Jordan is a Player in the NBA not an NBA Owner ''

  • @ginusha shut up fucking retarded faggot.

  • @thenfm Why Don't you shut your Fucking mouth Gay Faggot and Retard You fucking Fuck why something wrong i say about him Watched the hole Video you fuck before you say anything You gay fucker

  • @ginusha put ur mom's cock back in ur mouth so u make more sense u dumb faggot

  • @Marcus201180 When the fuck did the media ever bash Jordan? He's made out to be a god in the media.

  • @gsvkck how old are you...im from chi yes they did, like skip bayless

  • @Marcus201180 seriously.

  • I just got an enlightenment from the basketball god.

  • Shit, he shoulda stayed on an hour. Who the hell would tell him to get off the stage? Great speech. So funny!!!

  • Man I sure am glad that I am not the only person that thought some parts of his speech was classless or it may just have been a bad acceptance speech I don't know. Some people said that he was just telling the people who let him down in his life thank you. He didn't thank none of those people that is just an ASSUMPTION all of you made. "you know you messed up" "you know you should have put me on that magazine". He is not humble and he lacks class. He may be the best on the court but sh**y off.

  • @vic20210 or he's really competitive and like he said in the beginning he was tryin to show the audience something they didnt know about him and what they didnt know about MJ was how he was soo motivated and he told em...

  • Wat was said at 1:30?

  • How was this speech remotely controversial? We want people to be phonies? Thats why I never listen to media dummies. Anytime i want to amp my self up, i go and watch one of those commercials. I'll say it now and I'll say it again. MJ is the greatest to EVER lace them up.. I dont ever want to hear about Lebron or anyone else.

  • @urkle9 No we dont want people to be phonies, but for all the people who say he is humble are not entirely correct. He didn't have to mention all the stuff everybody knew about him that tuned in to watch the speech, he could have easily have been HUMBLE and let his success talk for him. He was complaining like a little bi**h. If he wouldn't have went thru all that wit them then he prolly wouldnt have worked his ass off, so he should thank them and practice forgiveness like a true champion.

  • @vic20210 Did you even watch the speech? He did thank them for adding fuel to his fire lmao. Don't know why people like you still criticize the greatest. I'm a huge Kobe fan and I know MJ is in another class than any of the players playing today which is amazing considering the advantages athletes have today with the technology nowadays

  • Ppl are too sensitive. This speech was not controversial. He just talked about what drove him to be a great basketball player. This was a great speech. Ppl talk about what they mom did for them and how they eat chicken and all that. He talked about basketball and how competitive he is.

  • Bravo Mr.Jordan, Bravo!!

  • an amazing individual

  • If anyone has the right to give that kind of a speech it's Jordan. If he wanted to be arrogant about his accomplishments, he would not have thanked Isiah. Look at Jerry Sloan's face at 0:27 classic from someone who understands the sheer drive and competitive spirit of Michael.

  • He could have added a little humility but I don't expect a competitor like this guy to go up there are be all corny and sappy. The majority of the speech is about what fueled his fire...in doing so he showed it still burns very bright even at his hall of fame speech. This man would slit your throat on the basketball court...part of what made him so great.

  • any notice his speech was 23 mins long?

  • @JUSTINalv

did u notice that no one gives a shit? and he can talk as long as he wants to being the GOAT?...and u shouldnt even be allowed to post a comment more then 3 words

  • @jharrison277 i didnt mean his peech was long i was just saying its kinda funny that his speech was the same as his number. So shut your ignorant fucking mouth you cock sucker :D

  • @JUSTINalv yeah... i notice that...

  • This man is the man!! This is exactly how I would have done the speech... nothing wrong with it... he was funny and spoke of how everyone that he came accross 'helped' him get there... so in turn he was thanking everyone for 'making' him the best!! I grew up idolizing his every moves... I think haters will always have something negative to comment. Thats life! Good vibes to all

  • "Never say never...because Limits, like fears, are often just an illusion."

  • He was gracious , and a balance between cocky and funny= charisma!!! greatest athlete in and outside court ,I think I had a tear or two, loved his last quote !!

  • This man is competitive with a capital C!!!

  • after jordan speech i want to play in basketball 10 times harder

    the best

  • what did that guy yell

  • I was waiting for the part of the speech that everyone said was so controversial and never found it. He gave a great speech about his competitive nature as a player and the people that helped him with is career along the way. Also left us with a juicy cliffhanger at the end lol

  • lol at all of you that think this is confidance. The arrogant person needs to remind you how great they were. People who are confidant need no words.

Barry Sanders could teach Jordan a thing or two about that.

  • @hokieguy95 loser

  • overrall i like it

  • i like how rodman loves his sun glasses so much he wears them inside haha:). i liked this speech it wasnt just thinking alot of people it was good detail. to call MJ the goat is a under statement

  • was this speech 23 minutes in length? If so thats awesome.

  • I also was expecting an ugly and embarrassing scene (from what I'd heard) but I was surprised at how gracious and even funny he was. I don't know what else people were expecting from a great athlete who led his team to six titles.

I suppose being competitive is considered frightening and uncouth to some people.

  • The guy has been competitive all his life.. put yourself in his shoes.. his attitude is a reflection of the life he lived. His speech was fine for who he is..the best basketball player to ever life. So i dont get why the speech got so much criticism at all.. i guess from people that just dont understand..i suppose.

  • 0:41 barkley has his leg out it doesnt fit lol

  • @MrTheGReAtON3 hahaha

  • True fans of MJ who actually understood the type of competitor he was (probably the most competitive athlete in American Sports history) were not surprised at all by this speech.

  • Still don't understand why this speech got such a negative reaction.

  • @astewart2005 I don't exactly understand it either.

  • Great speech. He merely explained what and who motivated him in life. Wha't s the big deal.

  • he's michael fucking jordan he can say and do whatever he wants

  • He never thanked god.

  • @doors1331 he is god duh

  • I don't understand why people were freaking out about this speech, he was obviously being funny, but giving truth. Should he say "Bryon Russell was my bestest friend and we talk all the time now after he motivated me like that, aw shucks! *giggle*" Or should he be real. You can tell he still has that fire, and will always have it.

  • i love this nigga Jordan this nigga kept it real...fuck all that poetical correct classy bull shit...

  • brilliant speech, you have to appreciate truth.

  • greatest player ever but u don't have to call people out like that. HUMILITY is much better than being so proud

  • MJ is being an arrogant prick.....show some classes MJ!!

  • Are you guys kidding me? This guy was one of the greatest, if not the greatest basketball players in the world, and all you can say is how he's a " dousche" or he's dumb. You obviously don't realize how much this means to him or his family or the people he thanked.

  • michael jordans sounds like sylvester stallone.hehe

  • Just MJ being MJ...an arrogant douche but the GOAT nonetheless.

  • I loved his speech lets be honest would jordan be jordan if he wasnt like that

  • wtttttttffffffffffffff i watched all 3 parts wheres the fucking bashing and controversy

  • you all can say whatever you want, but i watch this speech every few weeks when I need my batteries charged

  • @arn123321

GEES GET A LIFE!! This guy charges your batteries? He's unintelligent and an eogomaniac.

Ever noticed that he doesn't do sportscasting. It's becasue he mumbles and is DUMB! All he can do is talk about himself.

  • Wow that was it? Thats what the hype was about? He barely even said anything about Russell.

  • I still say he could come out of retirement and kick anyone ass. Like he said " One day you might see him playing at 50" and don't laugh! he will still mop the floor with you.

  • Comment removed

  • such a thought provoking statement huh?

  • correction not athletes but 1 of the lowest paid superstars he was the face of NBA and as far as contract was no where near some of the other superstars but back to my point the owners and companies hand these kids everything they want before they ever play a single down or step a foot on the court Jordan proved he was worth what he got before Nike Gatorade came knockin he was an all-star and by the way he was always well spoken and into philosophy must be hard for you to hear a black man make

  • it was a great speech he was being completely transparent he mentioned people who he had intense rivalries with he told it how it was not some wishy washy all hugs and kisses watered down speech way to go Mike and I saw him play he truly was and is the G.O.A.T you cannot complain he is the reason today's athletes are all misguided for a number of years he was one of the lowest paid athletes in the NBA lots of his riches came from endorsement deals blame the GM"S and owners and companies that

  • wasn't a bad speech but he really got corny there with the "limits, like fears, are often an illusion". come on MJ, who did you hire to write that for you, Confucius?

  • @cheezbetweentheknees - That was a nice quote.

  • what a fucking dick

  • I thought the speech was phenominal

  • I did not hear anything wrong with this speech. You have to really dig (to China) in order to create a problem with it.
