  • which came first jurrasic park or comic bakery music O_o

  • @MrKasperabhay Bakery.

  • Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!! It is from f***ing platypus!!!

  • LOL Jurassic Park nes level 1 (some part)

  • Best. Song. Ever.

  • LOL! I think the TV series ReBoot did a parody loosely based on this game in the episode "Life is a Glitch" with the game "Rocky The Rabid Raccoon 2".

  • Man... Platypus.

  • watch?v=hU98T6OHSoQ

  • @ACNC1: i was just thinking about that! :-D

  • Damn, i've not played this game, but the intro sounds pretty similar to the "New Junk City" level from Earthworm Jim ( watch?v=NCX75IiPnvk ).

    Good track !

  • @Evilmantheone Check out Jurassic Park NES level 1 song... and compare to this one... :D

  • @seanobi777 Hahaha! I was just about to comment that EXACT same thing!

  • Matrin Galway should get royalties from every La roux hit.

  • Jurassic Park on NES Totally Ripped this off but I love that game so much to care cuz C64 and NES Chip Tunes Kick ASS!

  • I Luv this beat. I remembr it from jurassic park on nes and gameboy. Both this and the jurassic park versions are goody.

  • this same loader is used in top gun and is played faster too

  • i see no reference to jurassic park gb.

  • @sniperwar10 That's nice.

  • PRESS FIRE, LOCK N LOAD!

  • Martin Galway. genius. Visa Roster have done an amazing version too.

  • Now *that* shows off the SID!

  • so this is where Platypus' first level music was from...

  • when i was little i used to read that konami logo as "Kionami" because of the weird K

  • @estlib

What has been seen cannot be unseen!!!

    DAMN YOU!:( :(

  • They stole this from Kanye West

  • @TekoMuto LMFAO

  • @TekoMuto

Oh yeah, totally. The people who made this game in the 80's traveled to the future and stole the rhythm from a Kanye West song.

  • @TekoMuto This song was created when Kayne West was still a kid.

  • @TekoMuto

Hahaha, you trolled so many people so hard... (at least I pray you did)

  • @Deathcharge77 - I'm kinda interested in hearing about the Mark Johnson original too!! I looked at the newest HVSC and SOASC, but nowhere is a composer by that name to be found - that's kinda weird since those collections holds almost 38,000 SID tunes from almost 30 years of C64 composing...

On the other hand, i know that Hubbard stole a lot of his tunes from real musicians ('Zoids' and 'International Karate' being the most popular), but i never heard anything about Galway was stealing music??

  • This is has a cover by CrystalMeth, called "RTL Biathlon 2008intro" from the keygen jukebox if anyone is wondering.

  • Back when the tunes were more epic than the games... Good times...

  • The song is so epic compared to the game itself.

  • three retards watched this video!!

  • Ya, how bout that Justin Bieber? Make's you feel like an asshole huh?

  • @Deathcharge77 I don't doubt you but could you link to the original? I'm curious now.

  • @gdreyband sorry, the original is not on the internet, if i can find a copy, i will post it to Youtube.

  • @gdreyband sorry, the original is not on the internet, if i can find a copy, i will post it to Youtube. i think, if i find Mar Johnson's e-mail i will ask him to see if he has the original

  • @gdreyband hell, I worked on the visuals too.

  • @gdreyband Did he gave you the original ?

  • @Deathcharge77

Nope, this song was really written by Martin Galway especially for the C64 version of the game. Sure, the game itself was released on another platform before, but did not feature this song.

If this Mark Johnson told you he wrote the song, you've been had.

  • ok. first of all shut up you're being just slightly offensive. an y'know what your tone's sorta pissing me off too, i mean what gives you the right to senselessly insult people over youtube? this site's built on freedom of speech, and bitch, don't forget that these comment boxes are here to allow anyone who wants to to express themselves. like are you trying to challenge my opinion on whether this is or is not the original?

  • @mooglesarerabbits

"i mean what gives you the right to senselessly insult people over youtube? this site's built on freedom of speech"

Achievement unlocked - answering own question.

  • @Deathcharge77 so let me get this straight, you worked on the visuals with Mark Johnson, who created the original tune, then later, martin galway made a cover of it for the game that came out in 1984, yet according to your profile, you're 19 years old. I fail to see how that works.

  • @Jankolli Great Scott, he's clearly a time traveller! When Galway created this tune this kid stole it and went back in time to give it to Mark Johnson! They worked together to create the ultimate Comic Bakery game, making the two famous! Unfortunately their plan was usurped by local teenager who realised the whole thing would alter time to such an extent that the world would end.. or at least send the world back to 1955.... using the POwer of LOVE! :D

  • @Jankolli Time travel, i do it all the time, greetings, chrono.

  • @Deathcharge77 I played this game, and this was what it was. So, where is the original then?

  • @Deathcharge77 I smell bullshit

  • @Deathcharge77 Martin Galway would never make a cover of anything, he is a genious

  • @Deathcharge77 not to be rude (ie I AM BEING RUDE), but after looking at your channel, I hardly think that you were a game designer in the 80's. In fact, I bet you weren't even born when this came out.

  • I can play this all day on mah keyboard

  • Epicness

  • Jurassic Park?

  • @MarkP0rter

    Yes , in a way.

Comic bakery is ofcourse the original game where this was first heard.

But later on this tune was remixed and used as music in Jurassic Park for NES and GameBoy :)

  • @robotwo

Actually based on one of Jean Michelle Jarre's early songs. Can't remember exactly wich one.

  • @MrMegazuki Nope. Actually based (only the bassline) on Level 42's Hot Water. As Galway said in an old interview.

  • Middle Finger for the three people who don't like this!

  • This song is like the ultimate good. I've listened to it about 60 times in a row and it just doesn't get old.

  • @MauserKar98k yeaahhhh

  • Awesome song. Thumbs up and Favored.

  • This music is so epic for what must be a rather silly game! *reads the thing about Jurassic Park* I see.

  • that's awfully long for just a loading screen song. Really cool though.

  • @keznh ever had a c64? it's not very long.lol

  • this is where teckno spawned from :P

  • Didn't they use part of this track for Jurassic Park the video game for the Gameboy?

  • @Zendarus yeap. And to be honest I prefer that version than this one

  • True music

  • massive

  • TUUUUUUUUNNNNNEEEEEE!

  • WAAAA this is awesome! :D

I think i can do something nice with this tune.

  • when 3 guys was a game design team - was that the entirety of Konami and Imagine?

Martin Galway didn't need any help. This is gorgeous

  • anone remember that game "Renegade?" It was a spaceship game. I think Atari? Would love to find the theme!

  • Chiptunes - after almost 20 years I still listen to them. This music has its ambiance.

BTW - the game Platypus was using this tune as bgm.

  • Great memories! Love this tune!

  • Love this tune

  • It's some kind of AWESOMENESS!!!! :) Epic Masterpiece! :)

  • 8 bit songs are the best

i mean, look what you can do with an 30 years old 8 bit square wave synth

    absolutely better than house music

  • MUSICAL GENIUS!

  • Thank you Mr. Galway for one of the greatest sid tunes. May the C64 live forever

  • Such a great song... Really makes me feel nostalgic.

  • So THIS is where that awesome Jurassic Park Game Boy tune came from! SWEET.

  • Unfortunately, that's about the only enjoyable thing about that game. Lucky for them that the song was enough for them to get my money.:D

  • My dad and I used to load up Top Gun just to listen to this tune when I was a small child.

  • On MSX they just put Yankee Doodle and another music . damn this very well. MSX players ripped off!! I demand a refund. just kidding.

  • I could listen to this all day.

  • epic

  • It´s very good music and a nice game.^^

Old C64 i was never forgott you!

  • I first heard this tune from that Top Gun C64 game, so seeing that it came from Comic Bakery makes me think of chefs flying fighter jets ...

"TIME TO MAKE ZE DONUTS" indeed!

  • Porting this to Virtual Console will make my day

  • That chef is angry about the way too big "imagine" logo. Anyway awesome music.

  • I hope this game comes out on the Wii virtual console

  • ^^ yeah ! amazing wouldn't it be?

  • Best. 8-bit Music. Evar.

  • With all respect guys.... The best Score writers on the C64 were

    In 1st place :

Martin Galway / Tim Follin and sometimes Martin Walker

Then there were some good songs from Reyn Owehand / Jeroen Tel / Jon Dunn

    Then

Laxity and Jens Chrsitan Huus (JCH) of Vibrants

  • Tim follin has a brother too. He made a few musical scores with him.

  • dude u r so forgetting chris huselbeck the composer of the great giana sisters music

  • In my opinion Rob hubbard produced the most amount of commodore music, but martin galway produced the best!

  • Awesome! Lets make some keygens and put this in! xD

  • This is a great tune. Though I knew it as the tune from the Top Gun game. Top Gun the game mostly sucked, but I used to load it up just to listen to the tune. Galway rocks.

  • I did the same thing, with the same game, LOL.

  • Omfg am i glad i´m part of that generation who have lived 2 see all that is 2 see in the gaming world!!! from pong in the 70´s all the way up 2 Gta 4 on ps3... Way cool evolve, but the c64 tunes just ruuuule...

  • martin galway is the freakin shit

  • Sweet

  • Beeeeeeeeeeeeeest !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • one of the best c64 songs ever written

  • badasssssssssssss

  • Songs bitchin'

  • why this tune sounds like jurassic park game nes?WHY!!!! please .... : (

  • Because parts of it were reused as background music for the first level of Jurassic Park, not only on the NES but on the Gameboy too.

  • thanks! : )

  • Martin Galway = genius!

Rob Hubbard is equally as good.

    *****

  • I would even go so far and compare Galway and Hubbard with Mozart and Beethoven (for our generation, of course).

  • Håller med totalt

  • Tack för det!

  • @AlterSchwede73 Bless you

  • @AlterSchwede73 necromancy +1. This is true, but you should also compare Reyn Ouwehand and Chris Hulsbeck.

  • @AlterSchwede73 While obviously ingenious artists they are, Galway, Hubbard, Grey etc. compositions are to the complexity of a Mozart symphony as a toy-cartrack is to an airoplane...

  • @Huora666

complexity has nothing to do with geniality

  • @AlterSchwede73 What? are you crazy?! Galway and Hubbard are far superior compared to the likes of Mozart and Beethoven. Chuck Beethoven a C64 and he'd probably use it to prop up the wonky leg on his piano.

  • I had this music theme converted to my Atari ST - it's good. Of course it sounds differently, but is very good as for YM2149.

  • Der Klassiker überhaupt :)

  • Experiment with all the SID emulators you like... nothing beats the original analog sound. Fantastic... thanks for posting!

  • Martin Galway, pure C= genius.

  • Good Gitar Solo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!=-(>

  • Excellent stuff. Nice upload. !

  • Oh so this was actually Comic Bakery! :) I had this on a mp3 file like 10 years ago, but it was named Top Gun. It was kind of an hit song in my highschool. We used to play this all day in the school newspaper office

  • this theme was also on topgun I think, but slightly changed. I had it on tape :D

  • I think the tempo was faster on the Top Gun version, but that's about all. Classic SID tune regardless.

  • I hear...a KEYGEN tune...Brrrapp!

  • lol!

  • lol ... well, welcome to our world, the cracker world >=D xD

  • I kind of like the one in Jurassic Park better....

  • They kind of changed the way it sounded for Jurassic Park, but you can still tell they used this. This one is better though in my opinion.

  • Jurassic Depeche Mode! I love this song.

  • Nice tune

  • Thanks for uploading. Best example of SID programming. Galway was and still is a humble genius.

  • Quality tune.

  • jurassic park

  • that one was better...

  • this was the absolutely first game i EVER played .. i was 4.. and the music ROX

  • I love the remakes more then the original :S I prefere MakTone's MOD version :)

  • OMG! This sound ROCKS A LOT! Awesome!

  • I just found the origional sid in an old back up folder. Is this sid-file copyrighted still or can I share it?

  • Might be copyrighted.

But theres many many sites out there that share SID/SND files still.

  • How is that the original?

Real C=64 with real SID would.

  • I know it's not the true original, but I'm happy enough with the way it is. Youtube's a fun site to upload music to, but audio quality is never perfect. There's also some variability in the SID emulators. From my experiences, even though this one (Sidamp) is the least efficient, it tends to have the best timing. Things like Sidplay2 tend to have strange delays when playing samples. At the end of the day, the best I can provide is emulation, not the real thing unfortunately.

  • It'd be nice to have that (sidamp) at the video name :)

    The song rules x)

  • @gdreyband Thanks for explaining that to me. I'm not a true SID freak but enjoy the music. I always picked up on the delays though. Thought it was just me being picky. Now I know...and off to download Sidamp. Thank you.
