Thanks for posting this. A wonderful rendition. After all these years, this hymn still always reminds me of my two daughters' confirmation, and they're both in their 30s now.
Thanks for posting this wonderful hymn. It is one of my absolute favorites! This was one of the hymns we chose to be played at my father's funeral last Thursday.
This is one of my favorite hymns. I actually sang it at my Confirmation for my classmates. Your interpretation is the best I've heard. Thank you for posting this. You are a brilliant orangist and musician.
This is such a beautifil hymn! This was the entrance hymn that was played at my friends Mother's funeral at Christ the King Catholic Church in Omaha, NE on 10/17/10
As an organist, and minister of music, some songs give a tremendous message when played on the organ. It is a crying shame the organ has been removed in many non-catholic churches. Your ability and expression give a great feeling of worship to our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ. Many thanks for your talents, and God bless.
I play th organ at my church occasionally but the problem is it's really old and held together by pretty much paper clips and cardboard( but still playable) praise be the lord
i mst say you play this very well ive been in alot of catholic choirs and have heard many organist play this but i love yours the most i wish i could play like you but god just didnt give me that telent so again thanks very much and keep playing the way you are your perfect
Great talent. Please continue on posting music in U tube. You are a great inspiration to others. This music brings back memories of my son. God bless you and your famiy.
you know lance, i've watched and commented several of your videos on here....to hear you play is such a blessing and most of the time i sing along with you or i just sit and meditate in a silent worship. i too am an organist and anytime i have a hymn to play and i want to play it right i always look to your videos for guidance.
I like your style Lance, you don't make it a modern approach. You still give the song some modesty but meaningful. Thanks for sharing all your videos. Really enjoy the sound of pipe. I just hope the church ORGANize its musical liturgies
Since we lost our organ (modernisation!) we have missed these great hymns. Somehow guitar and drums are not the same. May God Bless you richly for the joy you have brought back into our worship. Thank you
I hear that all the time from so many of my Subscribers - what a shame. I believe if people would write letters to the Bishops of their Diocese , maybe the Organ will come back. GOD Bless you and thank you for visiting †
@Bradstonian24 I totally agree with you.....years ago my parish music director wanted to get rid of the organ and now they finally did it so now it does not sounds the same.
@Bradstonian24 We have an organ in our church, but for whatever reason, whether it be the music director's choice or just the fact that they can't find anyone capable of playing it regularly enough, it's hardly used, and there are certain hymns/songs where it absolutely DOES NOT work without the organ. The one in particular is "Jesus Christ is Risen, Today" on Easter. Plus the music director at our church is rather dry, and can be difficult to work with (especially if you're a youngster).
I just love the way you play Lance. THANKS for sharing your music. I listen to you all the time now. and it has inpired me to play the organ agan. THANK YOU. God Bless.
Just wonderful, at church they only play the big organ now at Christmas time and Easter now. So this reminds me of the very special addition this music adds to the mass.
This is my most fav hymn.your are playing excellent. continue your service for church. best of luck. can i have playing the (Give Me Joy In My Heart, Keep Me praising) hym please?
I sometimes sing this to my patients when I'm with them. I also sing other hymns. They love it when I sing hymns for them while I'm working with them. They can no longer go to church. Seems to give them comfort as they make the transition from this life to the next.
Hey, would you mind doing a tutorial xD It would be soo cool to learn this song...I go to a catholic school and we have like a mass every sunday i could play this on the entry on my keyboard... but i need to learn it first :P

yes I know its a vivace 20. As i mentioned earlier i've seen one in Mumbai India in our music store. I teach music and one of my students plays a vivace 60 in his church. He and i both really like the registration which you use. how do you get a decent sound on the visount? I've heard Ahlborn phoenix copemanhart allen , They all sound so realistic..
here in India in almost all catholic churches we play on electronice keyboards.. Of course we play hymns in different styles.
Hey Lance, I was wondering if you still take requests for videos. If you do, could you possibly do "Sing of Mary, pure and lowley?" That would just make my day.

nice version of this song. well done. a church i went to for a while the organist played it for the offatory hymn, and played it a little faster, and it sounded really good. then he played it a few weeks later for the opening hymn a little more faster, and it set the mass off on a good note, really upbeat. i like your version too.

Dear sir, I'm so glad to have found this video of Here I am Lord. I have always loved this song and it never fails to move me to tears before it even ends, especially when it comes to the chorus. Beautifully played. God bless!
same here scholachu.. everytime its played at mass.. tears flow... going thru tough times with wife leaving so i really enjoy the hour at mass every week... refreshing...
I know just what you are going through, my wife left and divorced me not long ago, it's really hard and sometimes I too cry during Mass, but Father Joe (My pastor) just lets me and does'nt say a word he evn comes down during the sign of peace and hugs me as if he knows just how truly painful something like this is.
A wonderful hymn of ecumenical spirit: Jewish text, Catholic author, Dan Schutte, and now included in new Protestant hymnals. It was sung at Westminster Presbyterian Church (Pittsburgh) after the crash of USAir 427, and I used it during the funeral of my dear friend, Lorraine Orr, crusader for the Right to Die and the Living Will, at the Unitarian Church of Sarasota FL in 1996. Lance,I know you are a TBI survivor and so am I. My fall was almost 2 years ago my question is does it get any better? Thanks
Godsword19525 3 years ago
It can in some cases, mine was in 1995 and it ended my career as a Church organist but I am still playing basic hymns. There are many degree's of TBI, I am an Amabassador for the BIAF, go to Braininjury95 and learn more.. Thanks †

Lance † , WOW! This is beautiful. I have to totally agree with Tomondaro 100%. I could listen to this all day and not get tired of the hymn. Your mission here on YouTube is truely a milestone for God.
God bless,

Wonderful playing!! You certainly have great God given talent. You ought to post some of your playing on a large pipe organ and "rattle the church".
