The oscillating line is actually the probability function. If you integrate from a certain point to another point on x axis, you get the probability of finding a particle in that area.
oh man, the last 3 vids (and probably the next one) are what i have been needing for at least the past 6 weeks!! my lecturer did not go through this is even nearly as much detail... this is so helpful, thanks for this vid. it's really made a difference to my understanding.

Do you measure the integral in the y-axis interval from the base energy level (the flat line) and up to where dy / dx = 0?
