@bojanks15 Really? The other 815,000 of us that viewed this hadn't noticed. Just thank dAiLa89 for uploading this incredible song for the world to enjoy.
i met warren haynes at an allman brothers concert as he was leaving the beacon theater he signed my ticket stub and he hung around and was chatting with all of the fans that were around i dont know of any other musician that would do that he is also the best guitar player the allman brothers ever had other than dwayne of course
@Garganosmurf15 after woody died, they went thru a ton of bassists trying to replace him. reality is that they didn't. woody added an edge to the mule that's sadly gone now.
I love this band, ever since I heard Blind Man in the Dark years ago I've been buying their c.d.'s and spreading the word.Warren's voice and Gibson tone brings tears to my eyes.We miss Allen on the Bass but I,m sure he would want Warren to keep truckin'. I play a Les Paul too and write songs. On 'you tube' under "guitarist Jeff Summertime Summers" , Peace............
´Warren one of the big big big axe players of all times. Our music is build on J Winter, Warren Haynes, Buddy Guy kind of guys and less on sportive or low level copy nerds
welcome to the mule. dont stop here, folks. check out anyone that ever plays with warren. good chance their band will drop yer jaw. check derek trucks, the burbridge bros., the word, north miss. allstars.
welcome to the mule. dont stop here, folks. check out anyone that ever plays with warren. good chance their band will drop yer jaw. check derek trucks, the burbrige bros., the word, north miss. allstars.
@londongoth7 Yep, he started playing with them, i think, sometime in the '80s...??? Warren Haynes is da greatest, right up there with Dickie Betts, and a voice even better than Gregg Allman, imo.... :)
this incarnation after woodies death was called "gov't shools" because of david schools from widespread panic on bass.....they did one tour under this in the fall of 2001, and I saw the show in la the week after 9/11/2001, and dave grohl (nirvana, foo fighters, soul rebel) came out for the encore and sung neil's "keep on rocking in the free world".....sick
@jessica just another dumbass contrite jerk who has a tin ear and no talent and has to spew hatred and scorn when something like The Mule spreads a wealth of good through their music........that character has no respect for anything.
@z28931 I agree everyone is entitled to their own opinion... However, this is not a political forum, and it is "my opinion" that your comment belongs elsewhere. If it makes you feel better to lash out at people who have differences of opinion, go right ahead. Have a lovely day!
Warren is incredible. I had the pleasure of meeting him through a mutual friend backstage about a year back with my 12 yr old son who plays guitar and he was absolutely the most inspiring and gracious artist I've ever had the pleasure to come in contact with. This gentleman can play ANYTHING and make it his own. Soulshine is just an amazing piece of work....and it seems with each GM album he just gets better.
I really lost alot of respect for warren haynes once I found out that he supported obama. He even played at his inaugural ball. Just by listening to his music over the years I gathered that he was a great American. Well I was wrong. I was shocked to see that he wanted to vote in a president that believes in the death of our country. He wanted the anti christ voted in office. Maybe some of you learned something that you didn't know.
@Kalscheid If that's one of the stupidest things that you have ever heard in your life, then either your very young, or else you don't get out much and pay attention to what's going on in the world.
I met Warren in the hardware store in Ketchum Idaho while attending a 4th of July Allman Bros concerts, he is friendly and gratious as well as a fabulous musician!
@thehornethive DUDE! You have to own "Live with a little help from our friends" but not the tribute to Woody. Its them live on December 31's 1998-1999 newyears eve. Really it is fucking incredible Woody is an amazing bassist and this shows that 100%. Check it out New years 98-99
@maggyvspom it,s not to late .You still can kill yourself.Do it and blame me.You can say that my post made you go ove rthe edge,.....Losers do it all the time.
Warren Haynes has one of the greates voices out there for blues/rock. He moves you with his vocals and guitar tone at the same time. Shame he's not a bigger name other than with musicians.
That is Schools on bass from WSP.....nothing like asking a brother for help and there he is, helping out. I love these guys....Get behind the Mule!!!!
@opilus LOL!!! i know what you mean!!! like, i was just lost in the song enjoying it and not really thinking about it, then i see the keyboardist and it snaps me out like "was that who i think it is?!" and then i realize it isn't. hahaha
When you can't find the light That got you through the cloudy days, When the stars ain't shinin' bright, You feel like you've lost your way, When those candle lights of home, Burn so very far away, Well you got to let your soul shine, Just like daddy used to say He used to say soul shine, It's better than sunshine, It's better than moonshine, Damn sure better than rain. Hey now people don't mind, We all get this way sometimes, Got to let your soul shine, Shine 'till the break of day.
I'm lucky enough to see these guys live This coming Memorial Day weekend. They are part of the lineup for the 2010 Spring Hookahville Music Festival... Can't wait to light one up in the hills, jamming out to some of this.
