It's the laughs of recognition that I see in all of these types of videos that I'm challenging. If they truly 'got' it they wouldn't need to be there listening to the discourse. It's great to understand concepts such as awake and 'alive' but if you don't KNOW it then you're continually looking outside of yourself for answers. No matter the source

He's just redefining a straw man. Awake does not mean alive. Are you dead when you sleep? Awake means that you clearly recognize that you are not what you 'think' you are. Ego is perspective of living viewed through belief structures about self. You may believe you are a man or a woman, a baker or a lawyer, or any other defining label. These are all thoughts creating an identification one assumes as self. Awakening is to realize you are none of these things. You are consciousness being.

I actually wondered a few times if I was alive, or I died a few years back and am just experiencing the imagination of how my life would have continued, and because of not being alive I felt so powerless about it, even though I was the one imaginating it... so doing extreme stuff helped me feel alive. ... no I am not taking ANY drugs
