@Pamp509 DFH unlike a human is not able to distinguish between left and right from a single midi input, otherwise you will have to make 2 seperate midi's for each bass drum but that is unnecessary and doesn't make a difference in the sound and and is pain in the ass to so the creators of DFH left out the other bass drum.

The one thing I noticed is that it only shows one kick pedal being used, it should show both so people that don't know how to play drums or don't know anything about doublebass can see and easily learn from this software, But everything else looks and sounds good

because it plays with midi file..it can't distinguish if it's double bass or not..

and the software just doing like that u can't push it to play double bass.. :D

@adyawira A kick is triggered by (in FL, which I've come to realize has different note numbers) I think C3 and B2. They should have just animated each kick that way, which they did in Superior Drummer 2.0. Of course, in both 2.0 and the Metalheads EXP, you can select two different kicks, so it makes more sense to map them seperately. Mindless rambling, just figured I'd share.

@foxtrot889 umm, no it doesn't make any sense at all to do that. In FL you can re-map what note plays what, so all you need are the note triggers going on any ONE channel/note/kick sample.

I've been using FL since FL5 and been using FPC for drums since, but now I'm trying out ezdrummer.

@medude6652 uhmmm..it's hard to explain here..but i'll give u some idea..i made the midi with reason 4.0..and convert the midi to this drum kit with cubase sx3..

@medude6652 best way I've found to get the exact drums that you want with ezdrummer is to drop in a bunch of generic beats, then go into the piano roll(that's what it's called in sonar) and move/ place the notes where you want them, it's time consuming, but it works and keeps everything in time easily.

@medude6652 it has "grove tracks" which are just drum samples of anywhere from 2 -8 or 9 seconds depending on if u select the half time regular time or double time button. They are also broken down by category of double bass, fills, jazz patterns and time signatures and blast beats or gravity blasts all kinds of shit then u just export the midi as wav and u can bring up the drum wav in any software editing program and edit it to ur pleasing.

@adyawira Yes, it sounds a bit harsh... Try DUY Magic Spectrum, it clones EQs... I have master tracks from various artists and I can make my guitars have almost the same EQ curve

i think what he means is that when you click the arrow that u lets you choose the type of cymbal, snare, etc if u scroll down you'll see like thrash kit, metal kit, etc.

do what everyone else does and experiment. don't try to copy someone else's kick sounds. It's the same thing as trying to copy someone else's guitar tone. My kick sounds way different than this, but still sounds pretty darn heavy. So just experiment and find something that works with your mix
