Apart from the sound of the cars, this game is almost perfect. There should also be access to all cars, not to own but to race with, just to enhance the racing experience. But for realism, this game wins hands down.

I don't think Xbox can handle day/night transitions of a game though because PS3 has those 7 SPEs that act as more RAM in a way. Microsoft may get a little butthurt by this because they shouldn't have rushed it out. Made it so fast the first ones didn't have HDMI LOL!!! Don't forget wifi, bluetooth, internet browser. Really sucks how good it could've been.

@eludethis Well it seems like the guy driving in the game is only leaving him because of other cars and he's taking his time. I think they'd be running side by side if the guy in real didn't have to worry about crashing. The physics in GT5 are really good, especially with a wheel. There's a Zonda R vid and the guy runs about the same time as the real Zonda R and the videos are almost in the same spots at all times.

Besides having good length for a circuit it's probably one of the best mixes of speed and cornering and really puts a car through the ringer. Like get the Viper vs Porsche GT3 RS video, a duel like that on this circuit made it one of the best ever.

The only thing you can learn from the game is the corners and the track, that's it, but again there is a lot of difference with breaking points and how to take on the apex.
There is a big difference, in the real tracks there are millions of bumps which can unsettle the car badly, if you've ever been on a race track you would know, while in the game there is hardly any bumps on the tarmac, AND the biggest thing is the actual fear, in a real race you know a slight mistake, just a slight one, maybe over short a apex and missing a corner exit/entrance or even little bit over accelerating, you are dead, but in the game, there is always the restart button for everything.
@1scott921 yes, you're right. It is not 100% accurate, but still very accurate. BMW M3 is not the best example of accurate physics. Take Nissan 370Z on Comfort Soft tires and you'll spin then you'll lift up a throttle in a curve.

Using ANY car thats in the game on the track in real life is perfectly plausable as each car had had its physics added to the game,so if the BMW on GT5 acts like the GT5 in real life then they did a good job,and if it didnt they they done a poor job.
@1scott921 Actually, no. If you break in the middle of the corner in GT5, the rear end of the car breaks loose and loses stability. GT5's physics may be flawed, but they are very accurate nonetheless.

W0w, you did for 8 min for the lap? did you use controller or a wheel? if with a wheel, the GT5 is far better than Forza. I did same car on Forza and compare to real life, just could not do below even 9 min lap time. I kinda believe now the GT5 physics is better than Forza's. gran turismo is amazing yamuchi did a great job, you will never feel the bumps and g force, the graphics are amazing and the physics are well done but to actually feel what racing is you ned to race a real car

i have played forza 3 before Gran Turismo 5 and the nordschleife in GT5 is soooooooooooo much better than in forza! go now and watch a forza 3 nordschleife video you start laughting after seconds! GT is the nordschleife king!

@BestOfMetalcore He's talking about the track and they aren't as good. GT5 thus far has the best Nurburgring, not just between Forza & GT5 but NFS Shift 2 also. And it may feel good to you to own both consoles but doesn't for everybody.

@Bonlonful Of course real life wins. If you have a crash in the Nurburgring in GT5 you won't die, or get injured, in real life you can get injured or die when crashing. So therefore, real life is more real than GT5

The only thing you can learn from the game is the corners and the track, that's it, but again there is a lot of difference with breaking points and how to take on the apex.

There is a big difference, in the real tracks there are millions of bumps which can unsettle the car badly, if you've ever been on a race track you would know, while in the game there is hardly any bumps on the tarmac, AND the biggest thing is the actual fear, in a real race you know a slight mistake, just a slight one, maybe over short a apex and missing a corner exit/entrance or even little bit over accelerating, you are dead, but in the game, there is always the restart button for everything.

PD did a great job of recreating the background (hills and trees). If you just stare at them in the GT5 video, it almost looks like real life.
Btw, cool video. Nurbrinring is a tough track.

@1scott921 yes, you're right. It is not 100% accurate, but still very accurate. BMW M3 is not the best example of accurate physics. Take Nissan 370Z on Comfort Soft tires and you'll spin then you'll lift up a throttle in a curve.

Using ANY car thats in the game on the track in real life is perfectly plausable as each car had had its physics added to the game,so if the BMW on GT5 acts like the GT5 in real life then they did a good job,and if it didnt they they done a poor job.

@1scott921 Actually, no. If you break in the middle of the corner in GT5, the rear end of the car breaks loose and loses stability. GT5's physics may be flawed, but they are very accurate nonetheless.
