The plot only feels slow because its a rain shooter. If this was 3rd person like the other games, a lot of dialogue and development occur while youre running and gunning. With the way this game is built, they could have easily made it a 3rd person game, or at the very least a regular FPS.

the story is: The mining colonists find a marker and the main religion in the story which is Unitology. The belief of markers that created the universe. People start going insane and killing themselves and each other due to the marker. No one knows why but if you play the regular dead space it tells you why the marker got there and why people are killing themselves

Ok well the Marker or 'rock' as you put it is really a Goverment prototype weapon. Figures right? And it gives off a some kinda bacteria that causes people to go nuts, and eventually turn them into necromorphs...FUN! =D

i didnt know it was a wepon, but they dont just grow the arms from the bacteria, first they die, then the stupid alien bat things reanimate and mutate them, hence the blade arms

The bat things were living humans too at one point. So I guess the bacteria goes for the closest source of corpse [The Morge [Spell check?]] and make a bat? Would explain why it took so long though for the actual Necromorphs to show. Gotta love game science hu? xD

The bacteria doesn't cause people to go nuts, it causes them to drop dead and transform - that alone.. The Marker is what drives them mad.

Maybe you should have used the pistol in stead of the plasma cutter in the early stages of the game when the enemies where still weak. Bec in 4:22 the pistol does not work very well with necomorphs.

I would have, but I wasn't holding the remote with my arm stretched out, it was resting on my leg. So to turn it vertically, it would have been uncomfortable.

And the game is really easy so I didn't see any need to do that when 3 blades = dead monster thing.
