@petie151 Hey I just moved to Syracuse. Is the Elbridge track a good track to watch the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars? I was also wondering if you have been down to Wiliams Grove to watch the World Of Outlaw Sprint cars?
@chadsaleen21 I'm sorry i was late in responding to what you wrote! The Elbridge track is big and it's good when it's moist, but I have seen it get really slicked off. I don't like it nearly as much as the smaller tracks because the cars spread out so much. I have been down to Williams Grove a few times, and it's among my favorite of dirt tracks. It's so great! It blows any sprint car racing around here away. It's an awesome way to spend a Friday night! Welcome to Syracuse!
@sneezabonk Hello sneezabonk, I race once per year in Atlantic City, NJ in an arena with a TQ midget, and I probably will be racing in Providence also this year.
Hi racerboy12345, they have pit stops. The track is different at different times, which is why they call it the Moody Mile. When the track is abrasive, the teams need to be concerned with tire wear. When it's slippery, sometimes they don't even have to change tires at all. They do need a fuel stop or two though, no matter what the conditions are.
sammy swindell may have gone 140 or a little more your prolly roght but the fastest time clocked on the springfield mile is 176.3 miles per hour set by johny hereara that about 36.3 mile per hour faster....
sorry dragracer417 The mile at Syracuse is the fastest 1 mile dirt oval. The Woo sprint cars are banned from racing there because it is too fast. Sammy Swindel has the record, averaged over 140 mph at syracuse! Thats sick!
I was here in the early 60's..watched a great battle between Bill Rafter # 22 and Ed Otriz # 0..I've never been back but hope yet oneday..What a great race track
Whitepaw! I like you! You're alright. I do appreciate your constructive criticism, so thanks. Your manners seem to be as good as my camera skills were during the making of this video. That's fine, the world needs all kinds of people. Just try and enjoy my videos the best you can, try not to be a penis about it if my camera work isn't up to your high standards, and get to a race! If you do go to a race, enjoy it, tell your buds, and get them to go and enjoy them too!
Shut up whitepaw, you rainbow suspender-wearing fruit. You didn't offer to help with the camera work, so piss off, and thanks for watching it anyhow! :)
i must say i love the syracuse mile but 90$ a ticket is ridiculous when i can go to a cup race for forty bucks right now. i'll watch it on speed if theyre at the race this year but i just cant afford that ticket. RICHIE EVANS FOR THE HALL OF FAME!!!
theduke13j, hello! It seems to me that to win with a big block or even a 358, it takes some serious cash compared to a Saturday night short-track show. I know the tire bill is high, and I know lots of people break motors there, so that's how come I know I can't afford it.I know guys have done well there, and I'd love to see an under-funded team win, but I would have to bet on the guys with money there. I respect your position, and I hope you're right, because it's better for guys like me.
BillydieKidd! To what do I owe the pleasure of such a comment?! :) You, my friend, are a cut above the average viewer! I can't believe that no one else picked up on that! Shame on all of us! I appreciate your blunt feedback and will use it to better my videos in the future. Thank you Sir.
Great Video! I totally agree with eveything you wrote! I have been going up since my Freshman year of High School and I absolutely love it. This past year was my 5th straight year and I wouldn't miss it for anything!
this was awesome...brought back a lot of good memories. super dirt week means SO much to me and my family :) SDW isnt all about the racing, its also about the atmosphere...you cant beat it. i've only been twice but they were the best weeks of my life...Orange County is my home track too. to me, the only thing better than super dirt week is eastern states weekend. and it was so nice to hear joe morotta announce a race again...YOU GOTTA HAVE A FAVORITE OUT THERE!!!
I miss dirt racing big time. I haven't followed it much since my uncle, Barry Poitras, raced. He was a track champion in Kingston, Brockville, Cornwall, Lefargeville, Frogtown, but he never won in Syracuse. He raced 358 small blocks, but EASILY gave the big blocks a run for there money, sometimes even beating them.
Just Atlantic City, that's it.

You think 900HP is alot. Try 1500HP monster trucks tearing up the track lol
I love sprint and EDM racing though

lol, we race cuse and we dont have 2 cars or 5-6 motors, its expensive but not as bad as you would think.

Theres nothing like sitting on the backstrech and hearing the sound of those big blocks echoing off the grandstands as they take the green flag!
