I know you're just havin' fun :). I make it too easy for you guys! As for Algonquin, it's a great place, but in summer it gets very busy like you said. If you hike in a couple of days, you lose the crowds but it can be tough to get a campsite on the weekend. Of course, in winter time there is no one on the trails!
Haha...not too many others doing the trail that week, actually, probably none. Gear for this trip was fairly bomber, but of course as still light as possible :), as I had anticipated the weather to be MUCH worse than what I actually encountered. As for the stove, I know I know, too heavy...but I melt 4 liters of snow every night in the winter and need some serious power. Of course, that's no excuse, it is on my "to do" list to build a better/lighter snow melter. Thanks!
What kind of layering are you using for on the move and sitting around? I planning out a good 0F degree ultralight setup. Thanks
