The reason that moonshine is illegal is simple. It's because the government has no control over the production of it and they are not getting what they see as (and I quote) "their share of the profits." I guarantee you, if the government had a way to control the production of moonshine (and got a cut of the profits), it would legalized. It's the same thing with Marijuana. If the government could control the production of it, etc., I guarantee IT too would be legalized.
