  • Type in a YouTube search, Ode to Popcorn Sutton, Ginny McAfee... Give a listen, tyvm!

  • He didn't shoot himself? He went and sat in his Ford Fairlane. CO2 poisoning.

  • No Victim, No Crime

  • He' dead. 12 ga unger the chin. It he wasen't dead you would still be able to get his stuff. He WOULD still be making it, Popcorn could never stop cooking shine

  • that liquor should be clear-oak barrels is what gives it color

  • man where the fuck is the whole movie man....at least give us a clue to when it comes out...or if it is out...fuck..

  • the man i blame is federal judge ronnie greer he could have given popcorn house arrest.

  • Everyone, to show respect to Popcorn, make your own still. Brew some white lightnin in honor of this great man! I know i'm going to! I'm gonna bust my balls just to keep the shine tradition a movin. If any damn government wants to get in my way they're gonna have a hell of a time.

  • He's prolly makin all the shine he wants up there with the good lord. We miss ya Popcorn!

  • it looks like its just not the animals that are becoming extinct magick moonshine liqueur needs our help to. All the hillbilly shamans like popcorn will be gone with no one to guide.I hope he had a good apprentice

  • where can I watch the whole documentary online?

  • You never miss the water till the well runs dry. Enough said. RIP Mr. Sutton. You are sorely missed...

  • yea it is sad that he local law has got to mess with the people so that they can get the blind voters to vote for them. the voters are idiots in america. the real crooks are the one's that they are voteing for. AMERICA HSA BECOME AN UNFIT PLACE TO LIVE.

  • Still lots of moonshine in Nova Scotia!

  • I remember Mr. Marvin "Popcorn" Sutton as a funny man who told it like it was. He regarded no man for his monetary worth, just on how you treated him. The making of good white whiskey is a vanishing art, and men like this are a dying breed We will not see men of his calibre again.

    Johnny Knowles.

  • Does anyone know the song in the back???

  • Its a traditional spiritual called "Walk in Jerusalem Just Like John." If you google that title you can find the words to it.

  • @SuckerPunchPictures We call it pikin.

  • What great man popcorn sutton from AUSTRALIA old mate we need more like him, his word was his bond. RIP old Timer & God Bless.

  • @ManuelBetten they did not kill him he killed himself a couple days before he was to go on trial i was actually one of the last people to see him alive cause i live in them mountains and got some of his shine every day

  • Popcorn was a fine American and made the best moonshine I've ever had, I still have half a gallon left from my visit last year, it only comes out on special occasions and pickin. RIP my friend.

  • Good moonshine indeed.

  • r.i.p popcorn ill see you on the other side buddy

  • miss you popcorn making my next run for you you are right shine is gonna be gone in five years or so not to many a person no the art of making good likker hope you make a four fight run when i see you and to all you that caused this popcorn has a message for you on his grave marker and i say the same

  • Popcorn was so cool his toes are blue he was one really good guy ive never ment anone like him in my life. I hope the people that caused all this and they know who they are this are real proud of themselves. He will be missed by all who knew him.RIP popcorn

  • I just looked him up in the news..nevermind..how sad.

  • When & how did he die?

  • it's sad to think that this is what the goverment does, they let the real criminals like murders and thieves run free and instead they go pick on a poor old man thats been making moonshine almost all his life, HE NEVER HURT A DAMN SOUL.

  • The reason that moonshine is illegal is simple. It's because the government has no control over the production of it and they are not getting what they see as (and I quote) "their share of the profits." I guarantee you, if the government had a way to control the production of moonshine (and got a cut of the profits), it would legalized. It's the same thing with Marijuana. If the government could control the production of it, etc., I guarantee IT too would be legalized.

  • @mastergaara117 Dont worry about the drugs and murders comin across the border F U Feds n Libtards

  • Comment removed

  • i dont think ill ever be as good, but im tryin.... rip popcorn

  • R.I.P. BRC dedicated his new Thrillbilly video to Popcorn...that's how I heard about him...

  • damn thats fucked up. he was on the history channel for fuck sake. R.I.P

  • i just got a still for my birthday from the "alphashiner" or "oneshiner" or "last one". i recieved the still the week before probably about the 20th. it looks exactly like some of his work, and the rye paste and instructions that came with... he uses the same things. maybe some of his last work?

  • well i hate to say to u but he is dead, he is my girls father, and my god childs grandpa and they went to his funeral, and seen for themselves, damn gov. should have let him live, i can't wait to move ram this hell hole...live free or die

  • no, he aint

  • People still make shine, as good as Popcorn's? Not likely, but people still make it in the hills.

  • i want to learn your trade and keep the tradition alive......

  • Once a living legend and walking heritage!

    We miss you Popcorn!

  • Damn it man I cant believe hes gone ive got 5 or 6 of his jars of Shine in my Garage.

  • i still got 3 or 4 or his jars

  • Keep it man Its worth alot.

  • i dont believe he is dead....an elaborate scheme to outsmart the gubment

  • my friend you are correct, this july we hung out for about 10 mins.

  • @WVTrailerTrash That would be amazing if good ol' popcorn was still livin. Trick those slimy money grabbing pieces of shit we call our government.

  • Well I'll be darn, this guy is dead cause of the government? The Government is there for us, not the other way around. Do what you want as long as you hurt no one. Government should stay out of it.

  • The life style is gone only if we let them take it from us. Take what you can from Popcorns words and find that littlbit of spirit im your self and make it grow. One day we the people may have a great meaning angen and will have are country back

  • Rest in peace popcorn. He lived a life style that is gone.

  • This is outrageous, the government takes and takes from each and everyone of us on a daily basis. Now, they've taken this man's life. For what? Why don't they concentrate on the dealers that are killing our children? I would be ashamed to be the person responsible for this with all of the terrible things going on in our communities.

  • The Last one is right....this is the end of america, the last of a true revolutionary. RIP POPCORN may we carry your spirit

we need it now more than ever

  • thanks for doing what you believed man. RIP.

  • Rest in Peace Popcorn, were gonna miss ya. :(

  • i miss popcorn =[

  • r.i.p. poppy. you were a true legend.

  • We hoped to meet Popcorn while in Maggie Valley sometime. Now we won't have that chance. Our thoughts and prayers are with Popcorn's family and friends. (It's too bad they wouldn't leave the man alone! He would surely still be living!)

  • sitll cant get you off my mind popcorn

  • listen to the 37 sec mark

    he knew ....

  • Yep, amazing.

  • Popcorn will be missed dearly, he was a true legend, now he can FINALLY rest in peace,,HE IS FREE NOW!

  • he captured the spirit of the mountains, but there was also a gentle side to the man that those close to him knew well.

  • my grandad was a shinner. what is popcorn hurtin man? It just goes to show that the gov has nothing better to do that bother a old man

  • Popcorn is harmless! I remember meeting him about 20 years ago on vacation in Maggie Valley. It became a tradition to stop at his little "junk" shop on the way to Cherokee every year.

  • Thank goodness he only got 18 months in prison with 3 years probation. I hope he doesn't die in prison and upon his release he can return to these Smoky Mountains where he is a legend to us all.

  • I live about 10 Minutes from Popcorn. The guy is harmless and he makes good shine. I don't understand how you can make your own beer, but not your own liquor.

  • Here's a harmless old coot who's gonna spend the rest of his life behind bars for brewing his own hooch, just because the Federal government didn't a piece of the action...

Why won't they leave these people alone with their culture and heritage?

  • LET THE LEGEND POPCORN SUTTON GO!
