I always use girls as characters in video games (if I have a choice) because when its third person, I wanna see a womans ass all day not mens. In all seriousness, It's because its more "kick-ass" to see a chick take down a dragon then a dude.
Well, I don't play MMOs, but I'm sure I've "gender-bent" in console video games at least a few times. I have no problem with it. Hell, we're all humans! It doesn't make you "gay" to 'gender-bend' in fucking video games. They're not even real! Besides, I'm open-minded enough on sexuality and gender shit. Hell, I've considered gender-bending irl, although I've never actually acted on it or made THAT big a deal of it in the end. Just kind of a quasi-fantasy or idea of mine, I guess.
All humans until a certain stage in the fetal development are pretty much the same biologically. The vagina and penis aren't all THAT different when you think about it. I mean, if you revert your penis into yourself, what do you get? Something resembling a VULVA! And notice how similar an oversized clit looks to a penis. Of course, some overly masculine and macho straight guys think that looking at one or dealing with one is "gay", but whatever.
I just like researching and thinking about all kinds of taboo shit in the realms of gender and sexuality. That's how I roll. Plus, Carl Jung's theory of the animus is slightly a turn-on for me, in more ways than one.
I totally identify as a heterosexual (80-90% straight) male, but it might be kind of fun or interesting to act female in certain scenarios or dress up like one. I've heard that panties are quite comfy compared to boxers and briefs, for example. ;) Who says you have to be JUST ONE gender in the end? That's why not letting so-called transgender people feel comfortable in their identities, rather than encouraging them to "change sexes" or telling them "You feel like a man but are a woman"
is kind of pointless. The whole REASON why transgender people want things like sex changes and hormone therapy is because of societal CONDITIONING on how males and females are "supposed to be" or what are "female" and "male characteristics." In a totally gender-neutral society, I'm not sure transgenders who wanna change their sexes could come about. Too many transgenders are trying to fit themselves into a very narrow binary, thinking that they're one gender trapped in another's body.
But if we tell them that gender is really more of a SPECTRUM, and that society has no right to dictate what gender you MUST be just because of genitalia and/or boobs, they could save hundreds on otherwise "needy" sex hormone replacement and sex changes, for starters. Transgenders should be encouraged to be comfortable in their bodies.
@TheCrazeBlazer How old are you anyway? 11? 12? That's what you sound like right now. Grow up. Making fun of people for their sexuality is soo sophomoric.
No, and ive played many games, and games that HEAPS of people have microphones, and the females sounded like females as the male sounded like males. But considering the game was one you had to spend time on to look good and socialise i dont think they'd waste there time a female being a guy. but i do ahve to say majority of people probably have played before but never worked at it and went tto there original character.
In mass effect I played to games one as male the other as female. Conclusion male Shepard satisfies me more. Playing as a woman just doesnt give you the same feel.
I use a male character in every game that gives me a choice to use a male or female. I've done that since I played my first introduction to getting a choice in gender with Pokemon Crystal, and ever since, I chose a male character. It's just something I prefer.
I have used a female character in 1 game Combat arms(FPS) and i had a good reason for it. The game creators gave the males in this game, 1 extra weakness The "NutShot" witch is like a Headshot One bullet to your nuts and ur dead! Plus the females had overall smaller Hit box. so it was no brainer to go with the female model!
ive never genderbended but this game i play mostly "guy characters" walk around adventuring but when i do see a girl character in a common area theres always at least 1 guy character if not more following asking to be her boyfriend and im like wtf but i still play with a girl character and if someone follows me i just run in a room and close the door behind me which then the person cant follow you
I've always been the same sex in any online game I've played. I have been tempted to try being the opposite sex but I've never actually done so. Interesting video though :)
I know it's been almost two years since you posted this [big sigh] but I have to admit that I am now guilty of "gender-bending". There's this game on Facebook (by Zynga) called Vampire Wars, and my avatar's name is Carmilla which is based on the book of the same name. I don't exactly believe that just because you choose an opposite gender you get treated differently. I still get attacked every now and then.
I didn't, but once i was looking through my older brother's chat logs for an RPG game online, and I found out he'd been pretending to be a slutty lady, and having graphic cyber sechz with men.
The boobs? not really, I'd rather not stare at a man's ass the entire time I'm playing a game. In first person games, I don't really worry about it one way or the other.
Once upon a time wow, what of a class would I play? Lets see... hmm... ye, rogue, I like sneaking. Rogue= movie Nikita ,ideal Rogue. Hence name and sex of the avatar. But oh allrigth. Every other time my first cha was female, was just because I like looking at females more over males. :P Basic.
Wan i play tomb raider I can only play a girl BUT thats not online. I don't play alot of online videos Games BUT I try to stay as a guy coz i am happy to be born a dud.BUT i would change IF the girl gave me something that the guy Could not give me and play as a girl.. SO over all I kind of don't care. I would be a guy if i got to pick BUT onless if the other gander gave me something new then i would not. Besides WY would i want guys all for me? THat would make the game bad that way.
I have yes. The only reason i did it was because i was genuinely bored with the male character. I have made ALOT of characters in games. But i never troll other people, making them think i am a woman in real life, i would always tell a person my true gender should they ask
i've haven't done it but on the subject. I've played a lot of online games and i've noticed that i'm a different person from how i act out side of the games. I think it's due 2 the fact that i can use a mask 2 hide how i really look. Honestly I've not done a transgender character in a game but in a sense u can say i've changed me from me.
i have ,yes .and its a very simple reason not for kicks or attitude of others when i am on a female character if i come across one of those creepy interweb stalker just tell them ur a guy and they leave. but as for my reason after i have made 6 male characters of each race(wow is the game btw) its just a change of pace to see new animations for actions and the ability to see around my character without having to zoom out to an extreme degree
i pick a female or male i see no reason in why anyone should treat you differently depending on your sex. I am personally a lesbian so create a male avatar to see how other girls react to me being male. People ared creul and would pick on someone like me for my sexuality if i was myself. I know that i am online and that there is no way that a person can hurt me but i do feel this way. Thanks so much Blunty :) you make me look at things differently.
my m8 got a bebo acount and pretended to be a woman that was bisexual. he claim that he did it 'for a laugh' and 'just to see how sad and stupid people can be'.
well, for many games, you are forced into a 3rd-person view of your character's butt. as a fairly normal human male, i prefer to watch the butt of a female over that of a male. not necessarily that the female model arouses me nor that i have homophobic feelings while watching the male model, just that the female form has a more aesthetic feel to me.
In video games and chats where you get to design your avatar I will pick either one. It just depends on which models/voices/emotes I like better. :D In general I don't get treated any different because of it, and people aren't horribly shocked when I tell them my real sex.
..Although it does sometimes freak people out on WoW when the big burly warrior tanking their instance starts talking over vent and turns out to be a 16 year old girl. >.>;
if i'm playing seriously I'll play a guy, but for a secondary character i'll play as a girl, why? because If im going to stare at as ass all day, it's going to be a girls one.
Yeah, there's nothing too mysterious about the Tomb Raider effect. And I must admit it's fun to throw on a female avatar and bounce down to "women's only" places in, say, Second Life, as long as you realize that more than half of the other characters there are probably guys in real life, as well. ;) I know at least one woman who plays as a guy occasionally, but I suspect it's to avoid harassment.
If i'm playing an MMO their is an equal chance i'll play male or female. But if i'm going to be playing for a while... to be blunt (no pun intended) i would rather watch the back end of some chick for hours on end, then that of some muscule bound guy.
Tbh, I'd rather look at an hot ass all day then an ugly ass. When I was playing WoW that is. I didn't play differently tho. I tried to roleplay as a girl but lol I felt like a faggot. (<.<)
I have done the same for the same reason. If i MUST (yes I am forced to play a game >:O) grind for hours on end (thank god I don't), I'd rather look at a night elf huntress in tight leather than the back end of massive orc warrior (even worse in ferine leggings) .
Also, on the "jiggle physics", I am INTENSELY glad it is not applied to male avatars in WoW - There's only 1 semi-logical place to put it
Well for me I play the opposite sex when I play in 3 person games and same sex when 1 person games. The reason for me is that ill play alot and when in 3 person games I dont really want to look at a male butt for over a 3 hour time. Ill ratter look on a woman butt ;)
old vid, but I'll still reply to the question. On forums and in chatrooms I do not usually pose as the opposite gender. I don't see the point. Sure I get those annoying cyber sex beggers but I ignore them. All and all I just go "If you can't take me seriously as the gender that I am then, sorry. But I am not gonna change my gender just to please your tiny brain."
Only time I have changed my cyber gender was when I tried to hide from an annoying person on a forum (I registered as a guy)
Once..bebo has the puzzling option of changing your gender at any given time, so I availed for the hell of it.
If I were to snip off the old things, I'd probably make new profiles..after all, if you're going to undertake something of such a large magnitude, your online life pales into insignificance..
in game im ushaly pore in games so i, a male play WOW as a female so people give me stuff ,plus the male moduls make me feal like a arnald shwartsniger on staroyds!!!!!!!!! but its an online world, but its still a game and i act just the same as i do in the real would and never tale to any one. sory that got kind of long dident it?
Go Home Blunty (playstation home) there are so many girls in there, too bad like 95% of them are actually guys, I always used a male avatar (because I'm a male) but people do it because they want attention, still, I find it very funny when male avatars start chasing a bunch of pixels arranged in such a way that makes them look different from what they actually look like trying to get a girlfriend or something I guess...
lol .. ive been there .. oddly .. I tried to match myself so well .. and then ... I realize .. everyone else looks the same on there .... its crazy.... and yeah .. I think theres lots of girls who are dudes.... no I dont genderbend
I play men and I am a girl. It is easier to make friends and not be harassed constantly. Plus, why shouldnt I play a big buff assassin with a nice ass jumping around all over the place. Its good stuff.
never done it but alot of my friends do it to be wierd on of them does it on second life and gets a lot of L$ out of it i just stay male female stuff is only an offline thing i do in stuff like fable2 + oblivion
I've pretended to be a chick in MMORPGs before. Why? I'm lazy and horny nerds give you free stuff if they think you have tits as if it will somehow make you fall madly in love with them or something. I don't pretend to understand it. I just know that making a scantily clad female avatar and giggling like a vapid bimbo a lot results in free stuff. It's also entertaining to tell them you're a big hairy dude in the middle of them trying to cyber you. Much "lulz" ensue.
I don't do it, but I have several friends that do... I always find it odd, when I come across their account or somthing. One thing I would mention, is one of my friends "dated" a girl online (LOL... I always think it's stupid how people take online dateing way too seriously, expecially when they are 300+ miles away... So lame.) Anyway, long story short, he went to a con to see "her", lol he still talks with him "in my mind he is a girl". still claims to be hetrosexual... I find it kinda sad
I have to say I play mainly female characters, while being, physically, male. It's a great way to have a taste of the other side, especially when you're not exactly sure on how you feel about your birth-sex.
The reason I flirt in MMORPG's: Men are easy, it's fun, and it's a great way to test the intelligence of your fellow players. The response you get from innocent flirts says a lot, and tells me if it's a good idea teaming up with them. I also flirt a lot outside MMORPG's. With both genders.
very simple form my experience talking to other people (friends or people on rpgs) i ahve seen that a lot of guys will pick a female character. The main reason being that female characters tend to get "gifts" from other characters. thus if ure a girl in an rpg, its easyer to get free stuff!
his game is for perverted individuals who like all kinds of sick shit. Furrys, pedos, child molesters, extreme sex addicts and so on dominate this game. Parents should be very careful about letting their kids play this shit cause its a breeding ground for all kinds of sickos and lowlifes. What can you expect really when they build their economy around selling genitalia to their users.
personally, I'd never play a female character in any sort of online game, MMO or otherwise, I'd feel like a cross-dresser (& I'm all for people choosing what they wanna do, but stuff like cross dressing, that's where I draw the line)
guys playing as a female character, (as far as my experience goes) is common enough now, that there are no more benefits for playing as one. Some of my characters in MMOs are female for different reasons. Namely because the male version looks hideous, and the female version is more appealing to me personally.
some of my MMO characters happen to be female mainly for a few reasons, sometimes they get different bonuses being male/female, less idiots swearing ect at u randomly ingame/or for the simple reason that if you are going to play a game and look at a character for a long period of time...why not make it female? lol
Making all female RPG (computer and otherwise) characters into skimpily clad eye candy, simply because they're female, is one of the great fucking stupidnesses of the scene.
I enjoy skin as much as the next guy; but for fucking out loud, grow up already, people! It's not even photorealistic! (But it sells.)
I once changed my irc nick to something that was a silly contextual comment that happened to be female in quality. Eventually someone (who happened to hate me for reasons that were never quite clear) started hitting on me. I fielded him for a while (hoping that he'd just give up—yeah right) before finally fessing up. He fell utterly silent for the rest of the night. (Can't say that i feel bad about it; he was a flaming gaping asshole, anyway.) ;>
HEHE I have so done this!!! For me ...i take on a female character cause simply guys give me free items ... can you say BOO YA!!!! @__@?! HAHA Why Buy Potions and what not when you can get a guys attention and manipulate him to get you free shit ....it's really magical *^-^* then i send it to my male account XD
I played Syberia but that doesn't count because she was a character that I head to guide on her adventure and I've been thinking of playing Blood Rayne or Tomb Raider except I don't wanna play as a girl in the almost logical situation that will be put to make the moves on a guy. The only thing I want to be on the net is a guy and I look good enough to make my virtual avatar look like me in person. I stay away from online gaming because it creates a virtual persona which makes people introvert.
well i ocassionaly i go as a girl but im gay..the thing is unlike some people i dont like cybering..if you are about to have sex do it in real life!(its more fun)XD but anyway yah i tell people"hey just to let you know ahead of the time ima guy"before they try dick head pervy stunts like"hey babey want some cyber fun"-shudders-
I gender-bent on a message board, actually still am. I may have to quit, though, because my persona is getting a bit too old to be a convincing baby-faced metalhead boy.
no i havent but my cousin showed me that most idiots play as women to get free stuff havent any of you noticed that female characters get drooled over and given so much stuff that its very common now its wierd
everynow and then i WILL play as a male because i'm tired of men coming up 2 me and saying this and that but then someimes u got lez' but they're easier 2 handle
I play female characters sometimes...to con people into giving me money then i mail the money to my other characters and then i ignore who gave me the money and i delete it instantly
First let me say, creepy video man. Really where the hell did you find a program to do that? As for the actual topic, I almost always choose male(because I am one, note the name) but on certain games like Corum Online there is class you can only be female on, so I have no choice if I want to choose that class. 'though I seem to have a online personality (pay no mind to my poor spelling, unless it's corect), I always choose 1 of 3 names. Running out of characters so PM if you want to know them.
Whenever I'm playing a game with a chocie of gender, I always choose my own(And thats male).Even if it was a games that has class availibility restrictions based on your gender. The main reoson I choose dont choose the other gender is because I think it'd be just plain weird.
haha! yes i am ALWAYS choosing male gender, its way better because guys dont come up to you and rape you if you die and you are lying on the ground and cant do anything about it >,>. But im generally on female characters... nyeh anyway i choose both and sometimes for games like flyff, i choose gender because of the different classes you can be. for example, i think that mercs should almost always be boys. :o
i have never played a female character because i had the choice the only time i have ever done it was in warrock when the medics were only female but they had the best advantage so i am a full fledged dude and frankly i don't care if dudes try to be girls so long as the don't Pretend to be girls to other guys that is somewhat weird
Well i guess not many ACTUAL females comment on these things. Well i am a female, you know with all those parts that guys want... anywho, i play my own gender on games. even if on guild wars(LOVE IT!)even tho i do get nerds that decide that my female character actualy looks like what i look like, so i just tell em i am a 37 male truckie, that gets them off my back. but anywho, i play females, males mostly play females and act like them the way they want. i know this cause i have a brother! :)
I play female characters on World of Warcraft for one reason and one reason only. If I'm going to be staring at something for hours upon countless hours, I'd prefer that it be something I actually want to stare at. Nuff said.
I generally tend to make female characters on MMOs, RPGs, Soul Calibur, The sims... basically most games buts thats because 1) I don't fancy looking at a guys ass for 4 hours everyday 2) I don't pretend I'm a woman 3) IMO female characters tend to have a more thought out wardrobe and 4)I have a hard time naming male characters seing as the only names i really like are Kevin and Alex.
i did a female a bit on some games but that was because i was bored as hell and it was on WoW anyways and u get 8 characters to make so one of them was a female....
I am actually actively posing myself as a female on an MMORPG right now. With Voice changing and everything, so the cover is deep.
Why do i do that? Was kind of a spur of the moment thing. Haven't done it befor, but made a female avatar and the other people i played with thought i was female, so i kinda dragged along. I was curious how people would react and interact with me if they thought i was a woman. (I didn't change any of my behaviour or expressions).
on xbox live i made a acc that called acutlitlebunny that the ive ever done to this and the only reason when the got killed by me on halo it would say that you were killed by acutelitlebunny
I've done it on one or two occassions. Once because to play a sorcerer character on Diablo II you had to be a female character. The other time so I could stalk my friend without them noticing. Otherwise I tend to just stay male.
I played a April Fools Joke one time where I'd create an IMVU female character and have her chat with males. The males would start hitting on the avatar and then I'd tell them I'm a guy. I did it on a couple of random people. The reactions were priceless.
Hmmm... I would have to say that I in fact haven't gender bent in MMO's, mostly because it doesn't do anything for me. I do however, know a lot of people who do, for several of the reasons you mentioned. I do find it interesting that this is actually accepted far more than I would think it would be, considering how homophobic our culture usually turns out to be :P But, whatevs. Perhaps this new cultural phenomenon is showing a blurring between the sexes...
or at the very least, a subconscious understanding of how to work gender roles to give you whatever you want, whether it be peace and quiet or additional attention. Or maybe I'm reading too much into this and people just like looking at a different sexes butt all day.
i did it when i used to play runescape. i made a female account so i would get idiot perverts to give me virtual jewelry. then, since i have 2 computers (both macs) i would transfer all of the jewelry to my main and sell it. making around 10k a day. (i was a noob back then)
In general, I play a male 'character' in online-roleplaying games. While it may have a bit to do with the annoying and unfailing barrage of harassment that female characters get, it has to do with my personal preference.
In my opinion, when roleplaying a female, people expect emotion tied too heavily to drama. Don't get me wrong, that is fine in small doses. But, I tend to be the fighter and I like action more in the sense of a challenge than... you get the point.
Well, when you're a female avatar you get sexually harassed. When you're a male avatar, you get picked on. Either way, it's more fun as the opposite sex, because what's normal for you is worse than the other way. MMORPG. Mostly men online role playing as girls. And, men play as women to look at their female avatar's... um... femaleness.
The only mmo i play is wow. and the only two female characters i have (undead and draenei if you play) are because i like their animations. i mean, one is a zombie and the other is a space goat. lol. its not "something nice to look at"
Umm... I've HAD a male avi before but I hated it since there weren't as good a choice of clothes and stuff than the girls one but when I was using a femal avi I kept getting harrased. When doing roleplays I do either, it just depends what the RP is about though. n___n
I have four out of five of my WoW characters are female. I mayself am female. The olny reason I have that one male characte is because I mimicked him to lok like another game character (Axel from HK2 acctually)
I don't bend meh gender, unles I just want to screw with some people's mind. lol
5 Years Ago, There Was A Clown Who Performed At A Little Kids Birhday Party. While Doing an Extremely dangerous Act, He Died from it. A day later, The kid got mudered by the clown by a chainsaw. He will Kill Every1 Who Reads This comment. Repost This 5 Times To Save Yourself! Im Not taking Any Chances. If You Dont He will Be Hding In Your Closet WIth A chainsaw, Ready To Kill You
When it comes to MMO's, yes I have created female characters. And i agree with AAhz321. If im picking a race or type of character, i pick the gender because of how it looks. Take for example guild wars. Back when i was playing, i picked a female warrior, just because the male ones looked so incredibly stupid and overly buffed up.
female class has more desirable stats, or maybe i just feel like it, or maybe shes the coolest looking character. regtardless i usually stick with the first reason or rough it as a guy because i personally dont feel the need to go female when i dont nee to
and yes im a guy for those of you who cant quite get that bit
I try not to "Genderbend" on online games, because of the sheer fact that I don't want guys mistaking me as a gal. I have tried playing a couple of female characters on WoW, but they never went very far. My only lvl 70 is a human male rogue.
Im a bloke and i played a Female Dwarf in Wow because i love dwarfs and not many folks play a female dwarf. I did it cause i tried most of the other races and it just seemed fun. Same on AoC played female toons cause well they look "nice".
i'm a guy, i've played as a girl in online games before once or twice, if theres a game i really wanna play which involves choosing between male and female characters, i'd most likly go female. the models are more elaborate and beter made as well as equipment and texture details, fancier movements (guess the modelers are lonely). anyways as someone going into animation i like to see the spectacles of a beautiful model. last thing is it gives you something to stare at when theres nothing to kill.
ok umm odd question but I read today the Australians have more 3 ways then any other nationality on the planet. You being the grand master of all things Australian can you confirm this?
i usually don't changed my gender when i play online games... i only change genders if the opposite sex have cooler stuff and opportunities.. other than that, i don't see the point in changing gender...
I've never used a sight where I had the opportunity to 'choose' a character... however, I was thinking quite honestly about what I would do given that situation, and my first instinct I think would be to create a same sex as me character..
Usually, if someone doesn't figure it out I flat out tell them I'm a male playing as a female character model. The main reason behind this is, like you suggested, more work and detail put into the female model and the equipment for said character. Why play as generic person-guy 5 with the same exact armor as person-guys 1-4 when I can play as a female character and pick equipment that suits my taste...(this wasn't meant to be perveted, but it somehow turned out that way.)
I'm fine with the whole gender bending. It's not like I'm actually going to meet the person or anything. And for a little while, I did post around GaiaOnline as a male. But after a while, I got bored with it.

In mass effect I played to games one as male the other as female. Conclusion male Shepard satisfies me more. Playing as a woman just doesnt give you the same feel.
DjHamHam411 1 year ago

Interesting video though :)
mmmmmcake 1 year ago
I know it's been almost two years since you posted this [big sigh] but I have to admit that I am now guilty of "gender-bending". There's this game on Facebook (by Zynga) called Vampire Wars, and my avatar's name is Carmilla which is based on the book of the same name. I don't exactly believe that just because you choose an opposite gender you get treated differently. I still get attacked every now and then.

I didn't, but once i was looking through my older brother's chat logs for an RPG game online, and I found out he'd been pretending to be a slutty lady, and having graphic cyber sechz with men.

THat would make the game bad that way.
deepart15 2 years ago
I have yes. The only reason i did it was because i was genuinely bored with the male character. I have made ALOT of characters in games. But i never troll other people, making them think i am a woman in real life, i would always tell a person my true gender should they ask
Sienzotehpwnmage 2 years ago
i've haven't done it but on the subject. I've played a lot of online games and i've noticed that i'm a different person from how i act out side of the games. I think it's due 2 the fact that i can use a mask 2 hide how i really look. Honestly I've not done a transgender character in a game but in a sense u can say i've changed me from me.
jdl330 2 years ago
i have ,yes .and its a very simple reason not for kicks or attitude of others when i am on a female character if i come across one of those creepy interweb stalker just tell them ur a guy and they leave. but as for my reason after i have made 6 male characters of each race(wow is the game btw) its just a change of pace to see new animations for actions and the ability to see around my character without having to zoom out to an extreme degree

i pick a female or male i see no reason in why anyone should treat you differently depending on your sex. I am personally a lesbian so create a male avatar to see how other girls react to me being male. People ared creul and would pick on someone like me for my sexuality if i was myself. I know that i am online and that there is no way that a person can hurt me but i do feel this way. Thanks so much Blunty :) you make me look at things differently.

well, for many games, you are forced into a 3rd-person view of your character's butt. as a fairly normal human male, i prefer to watch the butt of a female over that of a male. not necessarily that the female model arouses me nor that i have homophobic feelings while watching the male model, just that the female form has a more aesthetic feel to me.
RoCeb 2 years ago
In video games and chats where you get to design your avatar I will pick either one. It just depends on which models/voices/emotes I like better. :D In general I don't get treated any different because of it, and people aren't horribly shocked when I tell them my real sex.
..Although it does sometimes freak people out on WoW when the big burly warrior tanking their instance starts talking over vent and turns out to be a 16 year old girl. >.>;

No. I play as a girl because the guys have less detail and features put into them.
OujoKuroiBara 2 years ago
Yeah, there's nothing too mysterious about the Tomb Raider effect. And I must admit it's fun to throw on a female avatar and bounce down to "women's only" places in, say, Second Life, as long as you realize that more than half of the other characters there are probably guys in real life, as well. ;) I know at least one woman who plays as a guy occasionally, but I suspect it's to avoid harassment.

If i'm playing an MMO their is an equal chance i'll play male or female. But if i'm going to be playing for a while... to be blunt (no pun intended) i would rather watch the back end of some chick for hours on end, then that of some muscule bound guy.
matthewlane 2 years ago
Tbh, I'd rather look at an hot ass all day then an ugly ass. When I was playing WoW that is. I didn't play differently tho. I tried to roleplay as a girl but lol I felt like a faggot. (<.<)

WTFLEETERS-
I have done the same for the same reason. If i MUST (yes I am forced to play a game >:O) grind for hours on end (thank god I don't), I'd rather look at a night elf huntress in tight leather than the back end of massive orc warrior (even worse in ferine leggings) .
Also, on the "jiggle physics", I am INTENSELY glad it is not applied to male avatars in WoW - There's only 1 semi-logical place to put it
IceBerserker13 2 years ago
Well for me I play the opposite sex when I play in 3 person games and same sex when 1 person games. The reason for me is that ill play alot and when in 3 person games I dont really want to look at a male butt for over a 3 hour time. Ill ratter look on a woman butt ;)
anariaq 2 years ago
old vid, but I'll still reply to the question.

Kytseo 3 years ago
guys playing as a female character, (as far as my experience goes) is common enough now, that there are no more benefits for playing as one. Some of my characters in MMOs are female for different reasons. Namely because the male version looks hideous, and the female version is more appealing to me personally.
sharkle007 3 years ago
some of my MMO characters happen to be female mainly for a few reasons, sometimes they get different bonuses being male/female, less idiots swearing ect at u randomly ingame/or for the simple reason that if you are going to play a game and look at a character for a long period of time...why not make it female? lol
AscendedPhoenix 3 years ago
Making all female RPG (computer and otherwise) characters into skimpily clad eye candy, simply because they're female, is one of the great fucking stupidnesses of the scene.

Running out of characters so PM if you want to know them.
kodman15323 3 years ago
Whenever I'm playing a game with a chocie of gender, I always choose my own(And thats male).Even if it was a games that has class availibility restrictions based on your gender. The main reoson I choose dont choose the other gender is because I think it'd be just plain weird.

So yeah, curiousity mostly.

Love the new look. Meow.

Well, when you're a female avatar you get sexually harassed. When you're a male avatar, you get picked on. Either way, it's more fun as the opposite sex, because what's normal for you is worse than the other way. MMORPG. Mostly men online role playing as girls. And, men play as women to look at their female avatar's... um... femaleness.

I play as a girl cause if I'm gonna spend hours playing a game I might as well have something nice to look at but to each their own.

I'm bi, so it doesn't seem to weird on my end... typically, I only do when my gf and I hang out online, to mess with people.
So yes, I do, but when asked I always answer honestly, to prevent any real confusion

well i always have specific reasons when I do it.
female class has more desirable stats, or maybe i just feel like it, or maybe shes the coolest looking character. regtardless i usually stick with the first reason or rough it as a guy because i personally dont feel the need to go female when i dont nee to
and yes im a guy for those of you who cant quite get that bit

I try not to "Genderbend" on online games, because of the sheer fact that I don't want guys mistaking me as a gal. I have tried playing a couple of female characters on WoW, but they never went very far. My only lvl 70 is a human male rogue.

Im a bloke and i played a Female Dwarf in Wow because i love dwarfs and not many folks play a female dwarf. I did it cause i tried most of the other races and it just seemed fun. Same on AoC played female toons cause well they look "nice".

i'm a guy, i've played as a girl in online games before once or twice, if theres a game i really wanna play which involves choosing between male and female characters, i'd most likly go female. the models are more elaborate and beter made as well as equipment and texture details, fancier movements (guess the modelers are lonely). anyways as someone going into animation i like to see the spectacles of a beautiful model. last thing is it gives you something to stare at when theres nothing to kill.

senorcardgage678 3 years ago
i usually don't changed my gender when i play online games... i only change genders if the opposite sex have cooler stuff and opportunities.. other than that, i don't see the point in changing gender...

i play as a female in wow cuz if u are gunna look at a ass all day.
it might as well be a womans ass
people question my sexuality for it. but i should be questioning theirs as they would rather look at a blokes ass all day
