that looks like a girl to me...does any one agree lol?
any one have any tips/tricks they would like to share with me either email me on here of course or comment, THANX!..o and when i said tricks/tips i mean on cockatiels lol
My cockatiel has the exact same play gym. But I like to put the ladder facing the outside so that she has more space. :)
The very first day I bought it, let dry overnight ( to be safe even though I used included glue) And I put it on the floor after her breakfast and she ran straight to it! :) She ADORS it!
i have two..missy and beacon..Is stevie playful? he looks so tame..we cant get missy out of the cage because she is impossible to get back in! litteraly! lol
I vote hen! Hen pearls keep their markings, Male pearls loose their pearling as they molt. I have one male that has kept his pearling, but that is rare.
We have 18 birds. I have three pair that are nesting now. Feed more than a seed diet. I feed mine mixed veggies, cooked rice and beans, scrambled eggs, raw broccoli, and carrots.
But, don't leave fresh or cooked food in the cage for more than 2 hours. It can spoil and make your bird sick.
i've had seven in my life so far. but i've only got three at the moment. they are so cute. my uncle breed my grandads and we got my bird dobbey from them. she'll be three this year and my other two daisy and elvis will be four
I am handfeeding baby cockatiels right now and I have one that is a pearl at what age will I know if its a girl or boy i know the boys lose the pearl but females keep it was just wondering
It is a bit difficult with pearls. Males will start to loose their pearling with their first molt at 6 months. But it may take longer for you to be able to know what the bird is visually. The only other way to know is by actions. The males will whistle. There have been occasions when a female will whistle but they are rare. You should have a clue somewhere around 6 months old.
Very sweet bird! I recently purchased a Cockatiel, and I couldn't be happier with her! She looks a bit like this one actually, and I'm looking into buying a playpen, they look like fun. :)
I had one of those for my tiel too. Except she chewed it up O.o My bird is sitting next to me watching me type. But yeah I had one too. Now she is playing with the mouse and she made the page go up and down. She likes to chew on stuff
i have had my cockatail about 8 yrs he has like a leash thing and when he wants to go uot side he some how opens his door and drags it throw yhe house till i take him i dont rere put it arond his neck but he likes when u follow him arond with it out side or ge will follow me either way i havw a vid on my space every one wants2 how i train him i dint he just pick it from my dogs
lol, ur so lucky that ur cockatiel doesnt bite the playpen to pieces! xD the first time i bought a wooden playpen it just bit it into pieces ._.; Wasted 30$ For nothing lol. But anyways, Ur Tiel is so cute <3
i have a bird named lucky hes very energetic and loves to out of his cage im planning to get him a gym but im not sure should i get him one? but i do know he likes ladders sticka and ropes sometimes i see him on the swings rarley!LOL ps cool bird
I was about to get my precious Popcorn that exact playground at PetSmart, but she has alot of toys already. I'll buy her a playground when she gets bored. How do you hand tame him/her like that? Popcorn is terrifyed of my hand.
I love the playground I want to get one for my cockatiel but I have not seen one yet in the shops. Also I don't know whether to get one of those free standing tall ones so you can move it round the room and place it anywhere, do you know what I mean? My 'Niles' likes his swing in his cage so maybe he will like one outside too?? Only had him a week so watch this space for Niles vid's!
Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. Please see my video clip on a parrot animation and some Victorian trading cards of exotic birds such as parrots, paradise bird, toucan, humming bird etc.
i wanna get my cockatiel a playground but he'd probaly be scared of it, it took me ages to get him to sit on a purpose built perch out of his cage, silly bird!

yep thats def. a female cause it makes no noise the whole video. kind of like how my cockateil doesnt talk. how do i get her to talk!!??
adup34 4 years ago
usually buying a male cockatiel does the trick but dont do that, just keep playing with her and she will brighten up to you sooner or later
Jistga 4 years ago
It's typically* the males who sing and talk because my female cockatiel doesn't whistle or talk but my male loves to sing.
ChaosRIPproof 4 years ago
I'm pretty sure that's a female Cockatiel.. But Stevie is a perfect name for a Cockatiel. It looks like it loves you ^^
