es muy impactante tambien darse cuenta que en los conciertos en brandengurgo de bach las notas que dice cada instrumento hablan de dios siempre me gustaron y no me di cuenta hasta que cante las notas
I tear up everytime i here this! Our church did this song for our christmas special...granted it was a volunteer choir so it didnt sound exactly like this. But the message it carried was still just as powerful
I sometimes imagine myself "a girl" back where time did not have the constraints it does today. I imagine a life of gratitude. Gratitude for life and love and lessons learned. We have yet to truly discover our potential as teh keepers of this Universe. Are we the keepers? I myself believe we are, as I believe we are the watchers over our childrens souls. This world and its place our are's to keep forever. Trust in yourself and whatever is written upon you, and we shall overcome great things.
I was singing Messiah in the college chorus. Every time when we would start this part, I could not fight tears. I've noticed that it was each and every time that I hardly could sing "behold the lamb of God". Since that time 30 years passed, I still can sing this part, but with the same sadness.
I think it's a shame that music so beautiful and uplifting has been presented to us to enjoy and is then marred by ignorant comments ..but...welcome to Earth!
@SymphonyofSorrow though it may not have been more effective, it would have been more much to the point. And it's apparent that your intelligence is not for you took my remark as a compliment rather than what it was. I was not complimenting you, but alas I was insulting you due to your inefficient efforts to cease the "asinine remarks" of the youtube users you claim to care less about. Thank you for your entertaining attempts once again.
@tantawi1992 i agree, the story of how Handel composed this, locked away in a room, and stating that God had used him as a mere instrument to produce such an awesome work, i find increadible!! I think he wrote the whole thing, through God's dictation, or maybe an Angel, in was it like 10 days... wow!!
@SymphonyofSorrow Though I completely agree with you, using that many "complex" words to prove your intelligence makes you look like you're trying way too hard to seem intelligent.
Messiah was born south of Islamabad, Pakistan. Sword appeared in the sky for 2 weeks over the village Messiah was born. Sword is sign of law & order, it has been prophesied Messiah will be associated with sword. Mullah Omar the spiritual leader of Taliban in Afghanistan is Antichrist. click Justice party UK.
@LennonMeringuePie whats your problem?! cant you just accept another religion without putting an entire community down? seriously, start watching what you say before saying it
@LennonMeringuePie Why insult someone's religion? I really don't think what you say to them even affects their life, so stop with the rude comments, no one cares about your input about anything. Get a clue already.
@tantawi1992 Erm, those you mentioned are NOT Renaissance era composers, though yes, most of the actual Renaissance composers are deeply religious men.
Not only the ignorance but the lack of human sensitivity to pure beauty. No wonder in some other videos the comments have been deactivated. i remember it is said that Einstein said there were only two infinite things, the universe and human stupidity, and of the infiniteness of the universe he wasn't sure.
Behold the KING, Jesus Christ also known as Yeshua the Messiah! The perfect one who was slain in order to redeem the world unto GOD Almighty. Worthy of praise and honor the Christ is!
The ignorance in some of these comments is staggering and disappointing; both religously and musicalogically. The version of Messiah we hear most times, these days, was arranged and somewhat edited by W A Mozart in 1789. He updated the instrumentation and changed some of the archaic English ["burthen" for example.] Also he altered the style of playing to include vibrato and pizzicato, which Haendel would not have used.
I love how people focused on a narrow range of sound and compositional technique call people ignorant, while sucking some overrated composer's dick.
I'm in no way claiming that Haendel isn't talented or that he hasn't made some great tunes, but he's no one-in-a-a-lot prodigy. Classical music "experts" are no better than any other bullshit musical subculture. Focusing on a restricted field of music is not understanding the music, it's being lazy and closed-minded. Thank you and have a good day.
Yes blessed is HE who came in the name of the Lord, the Lamb of GOD, Jesus Christ who takes away the sins of the world! For it is by grace we are saved through faith, not of ourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works.
And how magnificent of a piece of music through which God's praise is expressed.
@inessasirekanyan oh Yes. Yess. PRAISE AND BLESS HIS NAME. me i am declaring... I Am Standing in AWE OF HIM... and He IS just... just Wonderful ... o man, what in the world can we say... ?? and Handel, Another Chosen Vessel, to Show Forth the Father and The Son. and lets us not forget it is Ruach Elohim... o man, wow wow wee.
The quote from Charles Jennens: "His Messiah has disappointed me, being set in great hast[e], tho' he said he would be a year about it, & make it the best of all his Compositions. I shall put no more Sacred Words into his hands, to be thus abus'd."
@c17silencio OK Mozart may be the best, but his requiem was inspired (...ehm...) by the Messiah. Listen "And with his stripes we are healed" and compare with Mozart's "Kyrie"! it's embarassing.. and Messiah was written BEFORE!!
It is said that Mozart was a fake and could not even read notes ... he also masturbated during rehearsals a friend of a friends mother told me ! Can you believe that ??!
Charles Jennings was very disappointed with Handel's work. He is the man who gave Handel all the scriptures for the oratorio that became "Messiah". Now NO ONE knowes who HE was!! Great music, greater Truths!!
I have attended several performances of the Messiah and I am yet to hear this in any performance. Something about "versions" being used as the reason why it's not offered, the "Dublin version" and the "London version". What a waste of fine music when this is not performed and the listener not given the chance to hear God.s invitation to all!!
Part of the genius of this chorus in the context of Handel's magnum opus is that he takes us on an authentic emotional and spiritual journey through the human experience. Sin is a deeply sad and grievous reality that cannot be covered up; it must be admitted and confessed, and I cannot imagine how anyone listening to this minor-key rendering of the scripture text cannot be impressed with and moved by the weight and sorrow of our sin-wracked world.
