Ma is selling taiwan to mainland China, he puts the Taiwanese independence under the bloody economic sword of communist China while he shouts - "execute!".
Also, Ma's principles are not out of line as long as he is innocent. Of course, if he is proven guilty then he is a complete liar hiding under double standards. Until then, he has every right to defend himself, just like Chen Shui-bian and his wife who "collapses" at every trial. LOL.
I suppose that in light of the muckraking scum that permeates the government, a hypothetically innocent Ma needs to tread much more carefully.
Ma also has contradictions about the private vs. public use of the same special allowance that both Jason Hu and Hao Lung-bin both know is public. Ma has *admitted* that his went straight into a personal bank account and was reported as personal income.
Your "LOL" above reveals your cold heart. Do you think Wu Shu-jen is "faking" her 30-something kilogram body weight?
And the muckraking which permeates Taiwan comes from the mendacious pan-blue media machine.
Ma's standards are his own; they have changed over the times as Taiwan transitioned from authoritarianism to economic expansionism to full (albeit corrupt) democracy. Ma has much to learn regarding leadership skills and govt. strategy as well as resisting submission to the PRC, but Sanli TV's critiques on him are childish. They spend 2 hours deliberating on the "contradictions" of several words Ma spoke about Singapore, and 2 more hours insulting Singapore's leaders.
Ma is clearly speaking out of both sides of his mouth here.
Why do you need scare quotes around "contradictions"? Singapore is no model of democracy. And do you feel the Sanlih videos among your YouTube favorites are also "childish," or just the ones about Ma Ying-jeou?
Awesome! thanks I didnt even know about that feature! I wish I spoke Chinese.
But From what I can tell from this, and another interview video in English, what he did wasnt so bad. It isnt anything different than any other president catching hell for something that probably makes no difference. There are always mud slingers!
As for his supporters comparing him to Jesus, that is stupid!
But I understand this is another country and things work differently there!
Perhaps you're unaware of how much the media both here in Taiwan and abroad fawns over Ma. His party controlled 100% of the media in Taiwan for 4 decades and still holds a big chunk of it, so overcoming that brainwashing is a tough task.
